MEGA 360 Is Here
Just priced it all out - To upgrade my 2 Helix units and my TM WITHOUT adding in the new 360, which is what's driving this whole deal, I'm sneaking into the $6K neighborhood. I'd expect that new 360 to be another K and a half anyway. That's a pretty expensive neighborhood . . . . Is there any demand for a pair of 3 year old 10 inch Helix units and a tough as nails 36V 112 Fortrex ? Someone might end up getting a heck of deal . . . A-Jay

MEGA 360 Is Here
I'm really stating to dislike these people . . . . What the heck am I supposed to do with my current (old) 360 unit and Fortrex ? ? ? And the associated cost of either replacing or adding another (Newer) Helix unit AND an ULtrex is like two trips to Mexico . . including air fare ! ! ! I may have to either Un-Retire or start playing that Powerball thing a ton . . or BOTH !!!!! ? A-Jay

Favorite Jerkbaits?
I have not ~ At 3/8 oz might be tough sledding getting that one through the 'breeze' I often contend with - especially early season. A-Jay

Good eye. And that ST-35 has two points spread out wider making it a flat out fish snatcher. #likeagaff A-Jay

Seat Post Deck Plugs ~
Update ~ After a couple of months of 'use', the deck plugs are indeed an improvement. Clearly they do what they're designed to do (plug 4 holes in my deck that I would otherwise find highly undesirable) and have not impeded or been a distraction to my fishing in any way (I don't trip over them). I remove one at the stern every trip as that seat post hole supports my go pro camera mount and it comes out by hand (no prying needed). I replace it when I secure the camera mount pole. And the the same goes for the front seat post plug, although I use that one fairly intermittently. The other two have remained in their assigned position since the original install. A-Jay

bad day
Sounds like most of what you expected to happen, didn't. I can certainly understand that feeling. From perhaps a different perspective; you did have the distinct pleasure of sharing a warm Northern California summer day with your wife and uncle on the water. Might not want to gloss over that part. Here's to getting a few more fish next time out. #bigpicture A-Jay

Probably asked 100 times...
I don't always use mono, but when I do it's Sunline Shooter Defier Armilo Nylon Line ~ Handles well, Lasts on the spool, Casts great, Exhibits superior knot strength and has as much abrasion resistance as one could ask for from mono. A-Jay

26 June 2019 ~ Shenanigans in the Old Town Canoe (video)
Spent a sunny, warm and a breezy day on the water with my wife Lynn. We don’t fish together as much as we used to but always have a most excellent time together when we do. Made our way back to the carry in and paddle only lake and had the place to ourselves all day. There were plenty of green bass to be had, along with a few toothy pike. Swim baits, swim jigs, spinnerbaits & even the odd stick bait were coaxing bites in & around the cabbage weed patches. We certainly weren’t setting any records for size, but we made the best of it. Working to Stay Lean ~
Powered through this one in just under 85 minutes. Total body work included leg press, hip lift, Calf press (not shown),incline D/B bench press, high cable row, face pull, over head shoulder press, lying triceps extension, incline D/B curl and finished it off with weighted hanging knee raises. Good news - everything's still attached. #borninfiftynine A-Jay

Mike Long
If even bad press is good press, Mr Long is getting a bunch. And being the opportunist, as he seems to be, if there is a way to capitalize on all this 'attention', however malignant, he may just find a way. After a brief stint at a clinic to help him with is 'addiction', pick one (oh, you know that's coming), expect to see a tell all book, or an interview with Dan Rather or Oprah, perhaps even a one on one with our own Glenn May . . . Would anyone be surprised ? ? A-Jay

Your Favorite Crank Bait Rod (1/2 oz. 1.5 Square Bills and 1/2 oz. Red Eye Shads) ?
I fish those baits on Quantum KVD Cranking Rods The TKVD746MB P3 model is a 7' 4" MH moderate composite number that may be my favorite stick. Here it is for just over $100 and free shipping. https://www.amazon.com/Zebco-Medium-Cranking-1-Piece-7-Feet/dp/B00IS3UKH4/ref=sr_1_4?crid=1CL7MNZJUOYAI&keywords=kvd+quantum+tour+cranking+rod&qid=1561467854&s=gateway&sprefix=QUANTUM+TOUR+KVD+cranking+rod++%2Caps%2C164&sr=8-4 It's caught a ton of great fish for me and I have several in that line. That might not actually be him. Anyone can make up a YT profile and use his pic from any where. A-Jay
