Hello and Welcome to Bass Resource ~ A-Jay
  2. I broke down and made a late night purchase. Ordered a pair of the anti-glare for the Helix 10's before I hit the rack last night. Hope the old ones come off without the need for unconventional weaponry. Graph Glass customer service seems to believe they do. We'll find out. A-Jay
  3. But it's hooked in the mouth and not in the side or the gut ? ? A-Jay
  4. Yea - Not doing the 360 A-Jay
  5. Thank you for that. I appreciate it. I gotta do something - It's pretty bad. ? A-Jay

  7. Agreed ~ Between YT & FB I get several inquires a week from all over the country regarding the rig & where I got it. Have referred several guys (local) to Maple Bay - guess few if any follow through. A-Jay
  8. I hear ya - and thanks for the vote of confidence. I'm extremely fortunate in that service center at Lund/Mercury/Humminbird/ Minn Kota dealer I use is seriously high speed and does really nice work: clearly not free though. The service manager specifically. Expect for the original Optimax, (factory) 'Steve' did the total initial install & rigging of all my gear (Electronics, Fortrex, Talons, external GPS, all 4 batteries and the on board charger) right there and is very familiar with my rig - it's the Only one they've sold - not a surprise. He also did my repower & jack plate install last fall. He's proud of his work and it shows. Either way, between the Ethernet boxes & connecting cables and whatever else may be associated with networking the units & the 360 imaging, plus the flush mount in-dash install, I'm good dropping it off and letting him work his magic. Can't wait to check it out. A-Jay
  9. If it happens again - check your charger. ? A-Jay
  10. Now THAT's a post ! A-Jay
  11. Nice boxes for sure but $50 ! That's just flat out ridiculous. So I guess we can expect the $7 ~ 3700 boxes to suddenly become $19.99 too. That's some weak salad Plano. ? A-Jay TW has three 3700 size models for $25 & $35 respectively. A-Jay
  12. Great Bass ~ Nicely Done Congrats A-Jay
  13. I've fished several trailers. Some were better than others. I've settled on two with a very occasional third thrown in. A Rage Bug (pictured) A Zako and the audible is a Swim Senko. A-Jay
  14. A weightless stick bait in 50 ft ???? Wow - you must be a patient man - I'd lose my mind on that deal. IME it can be tough sledding trying to turn on neutral or negative mood fish, especially brown bass. And when they are that deep, often time they may not be too inclined to bite. I'd recommend rather than trying to force feed these fish, look for another place with different & perhaps shallower and hopefully more active biters. You can catch nothing anywhere and doing anything. So if these fish have lock jaw, I'd move on. Finally, something I didn't see listed in the bait's you've tried, and one that I've had some minor success with (and I'd like to emphasize the minor part) when trying to feed deep, suspended summer time smallies - is a spybait. Duo Realis G-Fix Spinbait 80 Spybait is a little heavier, sinks a little fast but still possess the small profile and shimmy that makes this super finesse bait effective. Spinning gear, Light line, long casts - allow the bait to sink to a level a few feet ABOVE the fish, and go with a slow steady retrieve. Not magic, but might get you a few and it's slightly less mind numbing than dead sticking that Senko into the abyss. Good Luck A-Jay
  15. To start, ignore the weeds and focus on the bottom; the depth and the composition. Look for humps, holes saddles & drops - something different. And if there's any wood or rock mixed in there - that could be a magnet. Once you catch a few, you may notice that a certain type of weed or weed transition from one to another may coincide with that depth and the fish like being there. Might be the presence of bait. Braided line helps here - Good Luck and enjoy the opportunity to learn something new. A-Jay
  16. Dropping temps - Go Flip the Jungle. Lake 1 A-Jay
  17. Dropped my rig off for the G3N install today. Hate the 'void' left behind in my garage. ? A-Jay
  18. Got response from GG Staff - No price break coming any time soon. ☹️ A-Jay
  19. Nice Job ~ Cue The Hot Fat ! A-Jay
  20. Hello Gary and Welcome to Bass Resource ~ I can certainly understand your frustration and it sounds like you're putting in the time & effort. But sometimes that's just fishing. We don't always catch them. At some point the bass have to eat, and when they do, if you're at the right place at the right time and doing the right thing, you may catch a few. The tough part of course is figuring out the when, where & how part. IME, there's no secret to it, just need to get out there and make it happen. But in the meantime perhaps a change in perspective could help. After all, you are going fishing, and I'm betting it would be even more of a bummer if you couldn't go at all. Maybe relax a little and enjoy whatever's happening, bet things turn around sooner rather than later. Good Luck and let us know how it goes. A-Jay
  21. Great Bass ~ Total Tank ! Congrats A-Jay
  22. Nice Job Congrats btw - were they Googan baits ? A-Ja
  23. That nearly half the state records for both Green & Brown bass are even remotely accurate; especially the super old ones. And don't even get me going on whether that bait monkey deal is real or not . . . . A-Jay
