Backing your baitcaster line
I use braid. The reels pictured are cleaned and ready for early season when there is little to no vegetation here. Which is when the majority of my braid use with casting reels happens. I do use braid & leaders exclusively on spinning gear. The casting reel braid is set to go, just on my spare spools for quick and easy conversion. A-Jay

Do bass or bluegill spawn first?
Spawning carp help nourish the post spawn pike, muskie and bigger walleye. The spawning panfish help nourish the post spawn basses. Most excellent the way mother nature set this food chain thing up. A-Jay

Jigs with Trailers vs Jigs without Trailers
The options here are infinite and endless; I think that means there's a lot. If you simply stuck to a SK Rage Craw, a Rage Bug and a "Chunk" or some type of less action deal, you'd have your bases covered. Don't tell the bait monkey I said that though. A-Jay

Jigs with Trailers vs Jigs without Trailers
I always just assumed that there was some kind of actual law that forbid the use of a trailerless jig. . . . A-Jay

Is there a barometric pressure you try to stay under?
As a big brown bass hunter, high pressure often includes sun and some wind. Both of which are highly desirable. Will sdmit to preferring more sun than wind. A-Jay

Alpha Angler Wrench Spinning Rod
Yes Slasher is my go to 110 stick. I throw 1.5's on either the 7' or the 7'4" KVD MH Composite cranking rod. Both are killer with 15-20 Tatsu. Guess the 7' would be what you're looking for. A-Jay

Hey Strike King
5 and 6 lb plus smallies are freaking crazy strong and have super strong jaws. They also have no trouble choking a 1.5 or a 2.5. So treble hook beef is a priority for me. A-Jay

Latest Tackle Purchase Thread (Bait Monkey Victim Support Group)
Received a couple of my favorite drop shot baits. Custom hand pour by Paul Krew. Super soft and high quality pour. Every bait is perfect. Seems the only time I don't get bit on these is when the boat is still on the trailer. A-Jay
