AGREED ! Huge Fan of Megastrike right here. You'll never know the magic until you try it. It is the real deal. A-Jay
  2. In conditions you've describe, I have be drop shotting Rage craws for the past few seasons with quite a bit of success. I use both an open hook (like nose hook the end) and an ewg tex-posed. Just adjust your gear (rod, line, hook size and leader length) to match the conditions. If you want a bigger bait, try the Rage Lobster. A-Jay
  3. PB Musky today !!!!!! A-Jay

  5. Thanks. Great question. Early morning pauses ranged from 2 or 3 seconds to as long as 10 while I was looking for a bite. Caught 3 going that. As the water warmed around 2 pm, I expected to get a few more but wasn't. So I sped up the action to almost no pause or perhaps a second at most. It was definitely the right move. Started hammering fatties in the same spots with the fast action. Just another example of how smb Love to Chase, even in cooler water. I am back at it today. A-Jay
  6. Thanks. And who wouldn't want to keep that going ? A-Jay
  7. Hello Wade and Thank you for your service. Welcome to Bass Resources ~ A-Jay
  8. For me it's the 6 inch Storm Swim shad. While the bait itself may be relatively inexpensive, the only place I fish it requires 4 cross country commercial airline fares, 2 international private air craft charters and a valid passport to get to & back. Worth it though. A-Jay
  9. Three pages on P - impressive. Especially since there's plenty of open water to fish. While my bass fishing can & often does present a number of perplexing and challenging decisions, choosing when, where and how to go, is rarely one of them. Either way, early and late season, there's nothing worse than having a 3 pants unit on a 4 pants day. A-Jay
  10. Thank you my friend. I did not. There were 3 resident vessels on the water at different points throughout the day. Each took turns coming over into the wind when they saw me hook up. Stayed nearby for a bit and then quickly retreated back to a leeward area to get out of the wind. I did not do that and the reward was significant. A-Jay
  11. She certainly was ~ Thanks With open water less than a week along in many places water tamps are ranging between 40-50 depending on the size / depth of the lake. It will warm Very Fast with the sun next week. This week is OVC and cold; even getting snow later today. A-Jay
  12. Got a 6-1 yesterday. She came with a big Grin ! A-Jay
  13. Got out onto Lake Menderchuck just after 8am. Air temps in the high 20's but the sun was beaming. Wind came on late morning and kept me bundled up all day. Low 40's water temps saw me throwing a MB vision 110+1 and a SK KVD 300D all day. Scored a dozen beauty brown bass in the 2-4 lb class. Best fish was a 6-1 Beast of a Brown bass. She came at the end of the day and I was all smiles. Every bass came off the front of a flat just before a drop off in 8-10 ft. Sun & wind helped. Water was super clear making for favorable jerkbaiting action. This bite should get better next week. Can't wait. My PC croaked last week so the video will be delayed. I've got a sweet pic of that 6-1. I will add here tomorrow. My 2019 Season is off to a decent start. A-Jay
  14. @Ksam1234. Thanks for the motivation and inspiration my friend. Cold north wind had me bundled up good but managed to get a few good ones on Lake Merderchuch today. Best brown one went 6.08 lbs. Can't post pics or video yet, but it's coming... Thanks again A-Jay
  15. Man Card ownership regulation requirements while being fairly specific regarding this matter, do allow some flebility. Most of these revolve around decorum. A-Jay
  16. Nice Selection. ST Croix, G Loomis and or Megabass all really need to consider adding brand themed bedding to their already impressive line up. A-Jay
  17. Hitting for the cycle here happens often. Green & brown bass, walleye and pike are the usual players. Things get interesting very early season when the big brown trout start getting mixed in. Adding a big musky to all that always makes for a very memorable outing. I don't usually catch panfish unless I'm targeting them. A-Jay
  18. My collection of Antzl Project prints is growing. A-Jay
  19. Yes. I've been out twice. Got on some decent fish. Got blown off the water today - major wind. Next week looks so-so weather wise. My PC blew up so I can't edit or load video. Only have my phone - hate it. Be at least a couple of weeks before I can be up & running again. Super bad timing. Still fishing hard when I can just not posting reports. A-Jay
  20. Optima Blue top. M31. A-Jay
  21. You know I'm not happy. A-Jay
  22. Wow ~ What a gorgeous tank of a bass. Congrats to Mr Ward on his new PB and State Record. Both marks may be hard to top. A-Jay
  23. St Croix makes a glass spinning rod for cranking. https://stcroixrods.com/collections/freshwater/products/legend-glass-spinning-rod?variant=8349883301940 A-Jay
  24. Congrats on another Killer trip. Fat Brown bass rule ! Bummer about your bait. I haven't hooked up with it yet. Be awhile before I can edit or post pics or video. Still fishing hard though. A-Jay
  25. And that's how it should be. It does hurt so good though. ? A-Jay
