  1. Although I would never take the pretty decent fall I've already had for granted, I'm going to be hunting more of these green bass - so I'm OK with leaving this fishery a little early. A-Jay
  2. Ya ~ You know what it's like . . . . . I think next season I'm going to have a banana at the ready and when I hook up I'll start the GoPro and stuff the banana in my pie hole . . . May not even peel it first. I can already tell - It's gonna be a long cold winter. A-Jay
  3. Perhaps J, but I think the spider thing was an actual deal too. btw - I eat a banana with breakfast Almost Every Day - except the mornings I'm going fishing - then it's something else. Yup - I'm a freak. A-Jay
  4. First off - I fixed that one for you ~ Second, as to "the Myth" - back in the day of sailing ships - old timey sailors avoided bananas on boats because they emit Ethylene which causes other fruits around them to ripen quickly (and then to rot). Which on a long voyage is not good. Also I think there was a highly venomous "banana spider' that hid in the bunches & was killing deck hands on these ships as well. Can't say how that turned into a "Bad Luck" thing. A-Jay
  5. Cliff Bar & a Cheese Stick is a standard ~ And if I feel like really splurging and they're open when I go by, a Foot Long Subway Melt on Wheat with Double Meat is pretty Killer. A-Jay
  6. Do ya think they used a Boga Grip on him ? A-Jay
  7. Your guess is as good as mine. But New Boat Day is always a good time. And I have to admit to appreciating the walk down memory lane. Despite the coincidental timing. A-Jay
  8. Thanks for the heads up Glenn. I should probably begin my anti-withdrawal tactics now, even though they never really help . . . Good Luck, we're all counting on you. See you on the other side . . . . . . . . I hope. A-Jay
  9. Hello and Welcome to Bass Resource ~ A-Jay

Hello Rick and Welcome to Bass Resource ~ A-Jay
  11. @Further North ~ Venturing south of the border beginning of Nov. Prefer to have her all buttoned up for the winter prior to my departure. A-Jay
  12. Standard practice is to wire 'accessories' like the sonar/gps unit to the cranking battery. The other battery is used solely for the trolling motor. btw - if installed, ensure the on board battery charger, wiring, & associated connections are intact, in good repair & working properly. If not installed, consider one. They are very helpful. A-Jay
  13. Hello and Welcome to Bass Resource ~ Congrats on your new rig. @12poundbass has offered some solid info & advice; I'd definitely start there. Also each brand has a different 'display language & appearance' - perhaps check out a few different manufactures. This may assist in determining which may be your preference as they can be quite a bit different. Good Luck A-Jay
  14. Hello and Welcome to Bass Resource. The Rapala Shad Rap has worked for me is both warm & especially cool/cold water situations. As for bass size caught, usually depends on where I'm throwing it. A-Jay
  15. Right on @Columbia Craw ~ Interestingly, something that I have come to believe after almost 4 decades of a sensible diet & routine exercise is ~ Although what I may have done in the past helps to lay the ground work for the future, it plays much less of a role in determining my current status. In other words, what I do (or don't do) today, determines what I'll be tomorrow. But it ends there. So the popular phrase "what have you done for me lately" certainly applies. Use it - or Lose it. And if I want to continue take care of my wife as well as launch and recover the Lund my myself - I need to be the best version of me I can muster. It's a battle but so far so good. A-Jay
  16. I have not used that line - which actually means nothing especially since you've been quite successful with it. Perhaps if it ain't broke . . . . . A-Jay
  17. Don't know what you're using now (which btw seems to be working OK ). I'm liking Sufix 832, Daiwa Samurai Braid (which is super thin, something to consider) & Seaguar Smackdown Braid is good too. A-Jay
  18. Thank Bud ~ I appreciate it. It really does help the content quite a bit when the bass are totally suicidal . . . . A-Jay
  19. Does that come with a free spinnerbait Uncle Bobby ? A-Jay
  20. @DINK WHISPERER I know ~ but I played the 'board up my home, pack all my stuff & run from the Hurricane game", several times & for many years. Didn't care for it. So when it came time choose a place to retire, I made a choice that took that scene completely out of play. I do have a bit of snow but some decent smallmouth fishing. So I take it as it comes. A-Jay
  21. I enjoy videoing my fishing. And I definitely appreciate the opportunity to post / share them here on Bass Resource. I'll always keep the edits very simple, I do not care to add music or 'effects'. What you see is more or less what happened. (or Didn't) A-Jay
  22. Thank you @Tara-senko @DINK WHISPERER ~ But I have to tell you, I Just put the Pro-V up for season and you guys are not helping the my withdrawal At All ! A-Jay
  23. Thanks ~ A-Jay
  24. @Smokinal @The Bassman @wdp Just checking . . . A-Jay
  25. Thanks Mike ~ Me too - 10 years ago. What I get out of this - Money Can't Buy. A-Jay
