  1. Hello and Welcome to Bass Resource ~ A-Jay
  2. Here some info from the BR articles section. A-Jay https://www.bassresource.com/fishing/swim-jigs-how-to.html https://www.bassresource.com/fishing/swim-jigs.html
  3. Nice Fatty ~ Congrats A-Jay
  4. Deciding if these two baits are interchangeable may be determined by how & where you fish them. In my own fishing, I love burning a spinnerbait at or just under the surface - something I'd not have much confidence in with a vibrating jig. Conversely, choosing between the two for presentations low & slow early season, I'm routinely reaching for the vibrating jig, just gets more bites for me. A-Jay
  5. Nicely Done ~ Congrats A-Jay
  6. Better ~ Thank You Glenn. A-Jay
  7. Thanks - Life's been coming at us kind of hard up here recently. Haven't been able to get out. Today felt good though. A-Jay

  14. @Dane Morris Check this out ~ A-Jay
  15. Isn't that interesting - and something that may have been mentioned in the live broadcast, but I guess I missed it. Can't say for sure if that mattered at all - probably didn't hurt the fishing any this week. I wonder how many of the derby contestant knew about that - besides KVD of course. Thanks for sharing J. A-Jay
  16. It Official ~ A-Jay
  17. KVD totally smashed it in this one. Posting at 90lbs. - If the Basstrakk weights are right, and they are usually pretty close, the man carried a 4.5 lb average fish all FOUR DAYS ! And they were all smallmouth . . . . . That's crazy . . . . . Weigh-in coming up. Not much drama expected, at least not for 1st place. #gorilladomination A-Jay
  18. Bass Resource has added several truly fantastic layers on top of my own personal bass fishing, that saying Thank You seems seriously insufficient. Just goes to show what a difference "Doing It Right" makes. For me, the sport just wouldn't be the same without it. And it's Still Free ~ We are very fortunate. Thank You Glenn & Keri ~ A-Jay
  19. Weights were crazy high. Guys needed a 20lb average All 3 Days to crack the top 12. AND they are all SMALLMOUTH ~ ! The final day is chock full of Bass Catching Sledgehammers so we're in for a treat. All I can say is All Hail The Goby ! A-Jay
  20. Hello and Welcome to Bass Resource ~ Good Luck with your search & prospective boat purchase. A-Jay
  21. Check out the new Shimano Tranx Casting Reels and either the Okuma SBX Swimbait Casting Rod or the Okuma Guide Select "a" Series Swimbait Casting Rod. A-Jay
  22. Back as 'a professional', I shined a few screws in the sand. And although we had to navigate some outrageously rocky stuff (especially off New England) I was Very Lucky in that I managed to stay out of 'The Captain Crunch Club' - our name for a bottom bouncer. Those are always slow & painful rides back to the barn . . . . A-Jay
  23. Ouch ~ Send it to @tcbass he'll clean that up in no time. Gonna need The Big File. A-Jay
  24. This is what SS prop repair actually looks like. Unless you have the tools & experience to perform this level repair correctly, I'd encourage you to take it to someone who does. Also once you use a file on a stainless prop, it becomes very difficult to tig weld it if it needs repairs. The file leaves contamination on the stainless steel, use sandpaper instead. A-Jay
