    Call in sick. A-Jay
  2. That is an Erie Slob Shimmy Good eye. A-Jay
  3. I was thinking that too - well except for the Beyoncé part. Just didn't expect to see that whole thing on the CMA's. A-Jay
  4. As always several interesting & thought provoking response to this one. I'll add this - I file repeated "Follows" under the heading of Curiosity; and for me this situation rarely result in a strike - at least not right then. Having been in this situation more than a few times, I've decided that the bass will strike when it's ready. Occasionally, and I mean occasionally, something can be done to illicit a strike response but it's not the norm. A reduction in line and / or bait size can do it. A change in presentation speed, either very fast or even super slow sometimes can do it. Additionally, the younger (insert smaller) the bass the better the odds that any one (or more) of these modifications can work. None of this applies during the spawn or when guarding fry as the fish are often in a different mode. On a positive note - this is not a totally bad thing, as I have at least a decent chance of returning to the scene of the crime, when the bass may be in a feeding mode and putting some of these previously frustrating bug-eyed donkeys in the net. Another tactic I've used to successfully get strikes from repeated followers is to change up the approach / presentation angle or direction. By changing up boat position either right then and especially when returning to fish the bass later, casts come to the fish differently which has worked. Shallow to deep, Deep to Shallow and even parallel to structure / cover try them all. Followers can be frustrating but in my mind they are a whole lot better than going long periods of Nothing. Edit ~ This response is covered rather succinctly by WRB's post above - Tom's routinely beating me to the punch A-Jay
  5. DD Smallmouth ~ Kent have you been holding out on us ? A-Jay
  6. I do not know WHAT that was - but it wasn't something I want to ever hear again. Usually not a fan of combining artists - but I did enjoy this 2015 CMA collaboration between Chris Stapleton & (believe it or not) Justin Timberlake A-Jay
  7. I can fish in the snow. However, as long as there's another one of these in my net before it's all said & done, I'd be pretty pumped. And one even a little bigger wouldn't hurt my feeling either. A-Jay
  8. Nice one Paul ~ I'd agree that "a little weird' is a decent description of the weather pattern over last 3 or 4 weeks. I've been holding off winterizing the boat in hopes of having at least one more of 'Those Days' and I bet you know what I mean. Latest information for the NWS predicts that this current mild weather pattern may last a bit. There could be a few brief cool downs, but overall the weather looks warmer and drier than normal over the next 8 to 14 days as mild Pacific air dominates the weather over much of the country. Colder air will begin to move south out of northern Canada by the middle and end of the month, resulting in a colder and likely more wintry weather pattern. Until then, enjoy the mild weather. Looking to get a few more trips & then stow the Lund just before that first wintry weather pattern. Timing is everything. A-Jay
  9. I could not possibly agree more. And from the bank - totally do-able. But for the boater who's "on the troll all day - no anchor caster", that's a tall order. A-Jay

  15. He certainly looked liked it on Sunday - After hanging a 40 burger on the Bills, TB12 & Company get a week off to prepare for Seattle in Foxboro the following week. Should be a good game. A-Jay
  16. Congratulations ~ ! That's a Great Bass. Welcome to the 11 pound club. A-Jay
  17. Hello and Welcome to Bass Resource ~ A 13 pound bass might be a little optimistic first time out. Keep Fishing A-Jay

  19. If you include the Tilt Bracket as part of your install - height shouldn't be an issue. A-Jay
  20. Last time in the match up between these two division rivals - the Pats had at least one rather glaring player omission AND the Bill really took it to them. The Pats D had no answer. Today's tilt has the Buffalo team missing some important players. The home field did help New England last time and I have reservations as to if it will help the Bills today . . . . . But I can't watch - the suns out - the winds down - Turn Over is DONE and I'M GOING FISHING . . . . . Love that NFL Rewind . . A-Jay

  23. Nice Job ~ That was a very respectable bass right there - Might want to bump your gear up a notch or two. Congrats A-Jay
  24. Got out on a local lake this afternoon - water temp went from 54 to 45 in 9 days. Jerkbait was hot today - clown color shined in the slightly stained conditions. A-Jay
