  1. Yes - The presentation is similar to a blade bait. The Duo Realis G-Fix Vibration Tungsten Lipless & Strike King Red Eye Shad Tungsten 2 Tap, (both in 3/4 oz) work well deep. And deep is a relative term. On the waters I'm fishing these - deep is almost always at least 20 feet. A-Jay

  3. Maybe ~ Maybe not, but I was Fully packed in March for a trip to Mexico scheduled for November . . . Turned out to be one of the best Ever. Bet yours will be good too. Enjoy the adventure and anything that comes up along the way just ends up as part of the story. A-Jay
  4. That is bogus. Sorry hear that. Did you notify the police and will your home owners insurance help defer some of the replacement cost ? A-Jay
  5. Hello and Welcome to Bass Resource ~ I am not familiar with that area but a Life Jacket is always a good plan. A-Jay
  6. The MK mount is secured to the deck the same as the TM would be. Then the TM slides onto the metal mount A FULL 24 Inches. Anything is possible but unless the mount is somehow attached incorrectly, it's not going anywhere - That's a 112 Fortrex picture below (62" shaft") It''s a Beast of a motor & It's rock solid on a MK quick release mount.. 8. Hello and Welcome to Bass Resource ~ Congrats on your pending boat purchase. Assessing a 14 & 16 year old boat & motor may be a little tricky for someone who's never owned one. Appearance as well as a seller's "report" can sometimes be a little deceiving Might be a good idea to get some assistance from someone experienced there who can see, run & possibly ride in these boats prior to any money changing hands. 12. That's clearly not fishing weather but it is totally Coast Guard Weather ~ Some years it seemed like that was the what it looked Every Time we left the dock. It's fun for about 20 minutes, then is not so much. Got real interesting when there were Volkswagen size Icebergs tumbling around in it. Skill & Luck started to feel quite a bit alike, especially at night. A-Jay
  13. Thanks, I appreciate the support. It's just one day at a time. A-Jay
  14. Learned quite a bit from this Man. Manual Salazar (and his brother Narlin) are two Big Bass Catching humans. A-Jay
  15. After a traumatic experience, the human system of self-preservation seems to go onto permanent alert, as if the danger might return at any moment. Sometimes one doesn't get a second chance. A-Jay
  16. Live bait you say ~ Does this count? Guess it would depend on what one was fishing for . . Certainly takes nose hooking up a notch. A-Jay
  17. As a human who just made his 57th successful trip around the sun, I've made avoiding that premise a priority. Maintaining a regular exercise routine and ensuring it's the hardest thing I do, makes "the mere act of liv'in" is less of a battle. A-Jay
  18. Smallies on top with a Fly rod is about as good as it gets Congrats A-Jay
  19. Sounds like a Great Trip with many Memories to last a Life Time Congrats A-Jay
  20. I would fish some kind of Texas rigged plastic - All Day. Perhaps a 4 or 5 inch Senko rigged either weightless or with an 1/8 ounce lead bullet weight - not pegged. Or the same rig with a Rage Craw, Rage Bug or Rage Tail Menace. I'd also use spinning gear with a braid mainline and a 8-10 foot 10 lb mono leader. Good Luck A-Jay

  22. Having or / using only one example of anything when making a judgement on it can restrict the accuracy of an assessment, especially when there are additional options to consider. For instance, the Newest Pvo V offered by Lund. When compared to the newest Tracker 19 ft, these two vessels share a common hull material. However, the similarities end right there. A quick look at the specs of both indicate the differences in Beam Width, Stern Width, Chine Width, Amidship Depth, Bow Depth, Transom Height, Cockpit Depth, Standard Boat Weight and rated HP. The implementation & design of all these factors play a vital role in a vessels stability. This model Lund's entire design is built & revolves around stability. There is a considerable price difference as well. http://www.trackerboats.com/boat/specs.cfm?boat=3925 http://www.lundboats.com/boat-models/1875-pro-v-bass/#specs A-Jay
