  2. That feeling you get when you go to reach over the side - and realize (just an instant too late) that you might have gone just a little too far . .Yup - I hate it when that happens. But that one was Pretty Smooth. A-Jay
  3. Hello and Welcome to Bass Resource ~ As you mentioned "I've recently started fishing a lot" ~ Whenever we participate in "a lot" more of something physical, there's a chance that while our bodies acclimate to the New activity, there can be "some soreness"; regardless of age. How much soreness / PAIN may be different for each individual, however too much may be a sign of some type of injury. If you think that's the case, you should definitely have it checked by a medical professional as soon as possible. If you are injured, ignoring it and to continue to do whatever it is that hurt you, is a mistake. One that many of us have made and later regretted. As for workouts, stretches or techniques - perhaps think of it like this - if you want to get better at running 5 miles - you need to run. So if you want to get better at making multiple cast during a prolonged fishing trip - you may need to make multiple casts during a prolonged fishing trip. The key ingredient that may be missing here is REST. Perhaps take a day off here & there so as not to continue to stress vulnerable joints & muscles that are tired & sore. Fishing a different technique that requires less in the way of hard casting - like flipping & pitching may help as well. If you're not actually injured over time your ability & stamina will improve. Good Luck A-Jay
  4. "Can I use car wax on my boat ?" "The simple answer is YES. When it comes to protecting and the visual enhancement of your boat, any wax that can be used on your car can also be used on your boat. But with that said, this is still an answer to an oversimplified question that is much more complex than figuring out which wax is best for your boat." For more professionally based info regarding Car wax vs Boat wax check out the links below http://www.best-auto-detailing-tips.com/boat-wax.html http://www.best-auto-detailing-tips.com/best-boat-wax.html#best-boat-wax A-Jay

  7. Hello and Welcome to Bass Resource ~ Remember that Kayaking, Fishing & Catching are three separate deals. That last one is the result of getting the hang of the first two - Good Luck. A-Jay
  8. Here's a Flouro to Braid connection knot Tied by Terry Scroggins. I like it and incidentally - it works nicely when using braid to mono as well. Needs a name though - and until something else comes along, I'm calling it The Scrogginhiemer" A-Jay

  10. I'm fairly certain that in the past 12 months or so I've set a new Personal Best in the cash out area. One that I will not be eclipsing any time soon. A-Jay
  11. You're Welcome. About half the lakes I'm currently rotating through are Auto Chart candidates ~ too bad I couldn't do it through the Ice - might help make the hard water season more useful. A-Jay
  12. Try a Drop Shot with a SK Rage Craw Either nose hook it or go with a 2/0 or 3/0 standard wire EWG hook. A-Jay

  14. I have been very impressed with the HELIX 10 SI GPS KVD - love the large clear easy to read for the old guy eyes screen, very tunable as far as sensitivity and functionality is concerned. Totally happy with the Side & down imaging, switch fire sonar and I'm just starting to get into the Auto Chart Live Mapping functions. The included unit mapping is OK but pretty basic. You really do need a supplemental mapping card and one can supplement / update the maps with the Auto Chart feature - which is pretty cool. You can also overlay your AutoChart Live maps on existing LakeMaster® or Navionics® charts to reveal new details. Despite all of that - there's a bow mounted 360 imaging unit in the works . . . A-Jay
  15. It's connected to the Throttle on the starboard side (not pictured) under my right forearm. A-Jay
  16. It's all fun & games . . Until it's not. I wear it religiously and I'd appreciate it if everyone did - just so their un-manned boat doesn't hit me. A-Jay
