  3. Losing a Fatty is always a little frustrating. If you sore-lipped her, she may lay low for a while and even if you didn't, there's a decent chance she'll be at least a little discombobulated for a bit. I'd keep checking back in that area off & on. Hard to say with any certainty she'll be back. You may have just lost the fish that will haunt your dreams - For A-While. We all have one. Then again, you may go back next time and she'll end up hanging off your thumb. One never knows. Good Luck A-Jay

  9. Line watching is ONE way to help detect that a bass has your bait but definitely NOT the only way. The "weight" of the bait (as it feels on the end of your line) is perhaps a more reliable approach, especially at night. There's a TON of threads on the subject - go ahead and read through a few of them. You'll be glad to did. A-Jay

  15. Hello and Welcome to Bass Resource ~ I'll not offer lure recommendations because you may not know how, where, of when to use them. Instead I'll tell you that this awesome site has a huge library of excellent bass fishing articles, many geared to beginners like yourself, that would really be quite beneficial. http://www.bassresource.com/how-to-fish/ A-Jay
