  2. Quality is never an accident; it is always the result of high intention, sincere effort, intelligent direction and skillful execution; it represents the wise choice of many alternatives. The bitterness of poor quality is remembered long after the sweetness of low price has faded from memory. Said the guy with the brand new boat. A-Jay
  3. That's a Big Boy ! For the kind of scratch they're going to ask for that one - they'll need to ventilate those compartments to stay competitive with you know who . . . A-Jay
  4. The "stereo" on the newest Lund is actually a plug & blue tooth reciever for your phone or mp3 player & a set of speakers. I thought about it - for like a second. And then moved on. A-Jay
  5. Nice Bass PBs are Always a Blast Congrats A-Jay
  6. Hello and Welcome to Bass Recourse ~ Not mentioning when you'll be there makes offering advice a little tricky. Fortunately the Bass Resource Articles section can help. http://www.bassresource.com/seasonal-fishing-articles/ A-Jay
  7. Very Nice ~ Cool Pictures again too. You're setting a high standard for your pics right out of the gate . . . Congrats A-Jay
  8. Nice ~ Two very respectable fish right there ! Those blow ups must have been both exciting and well earned. Big pike are a blast in the pads but the rows of dagger like teeth sure do a number on frog baits. And after getting bit off more times than I'm willing to admit - I've broken down & now use a little trace of wire. Baits still get shredded but at least I am able to have the satisfaction of enjoying all the Slime btw - you're described the recent wacked out weather pattern here to a tee. Grinds my gears when the forecast for 80% precipitation keeps me off the water and then IT NEVER RAINS ! ( not a fan of fishing in the rain) It's been tough to pattern anything solid for weeks Please send a little of your good Mojo across the lake. Congrats A-Jay
  9. I'll recommend a St Croix Premier Spinning rod PS70HF and a Pflueger Supreme Spinning Reel. Either the SUPSP35X or SUPSP40X That's a quality combo that will get the job done with 50lb braid and won't break the bank either. http://stcroixrods.com/products/freshwater/premier-spinning/ http://www.pfluegerfishing.com/pflueger-reels-spinning-reels/pflueger-supreme-spinning-reel/1347902.html A-Jay

  11. If this is suppose to ask if the compartments are ventilated ? No, they are not. If you stow wet anything - lines, rain gear etc, it will not dry in a timely manner without leaving the space open. A-Jay
  12. Do you need a hug ? A-Jay
  13. I can not say for sure why I don't get nearly as many bites on a bright night as I do on a totally to near moonless night but I do. My version of the reason is that many of the lakes here have very clear water, so with a big bright moon, the advantage of "Darkness" is all but gone for me. I can see shallow water cover quite easily, so I can assume the bass can see equally as well also. I'd love to be able to catch on the brighter nights as opposed to the pitch black ones but my results make the choice easy for me. Moon = no bass. No Moon = Bass. So fishing on a full moon is certainly Night Bassing but for me there's less catching. Finally - there are still bass to be caught any night. We catch them on cloudy days so a bright night may be no different. But just like some days offer better / more favorable conditions than others; same can be true at night. And a moonless night is one of those for me. Your results may vary. A-Jay
  14. Thanks - From the front & back deck - It's a little high for lipping fish - I use a net - from the helm area it is totally do-able and I have done it. As for skipping I will openly admit this type cast is Not my strongest cast. Since the casting deck is a little higher there is definitely an adjustment required if one is use to being closer to the water - if you can skip a cast from one dock to another then I'd say you're good. As for handling 3 foot waves; I'll let you know but as a ex-professional boat driver, I'll tell you in advance of doing it, that I'd would expect this hull & 200 hp motor combination to eat that for lunch. 15. Took a few minutes out on the lake today to do a brief review & video tour of the Pro v Bass boat. My opinion, the whole package comes as advertised. I’m digging everything about. Been on the water now 10 trips or so. Still getting used to all the features but it’s coming together quite nicely. Any and all questions & comments are welcome and appreciated. A-Jay
  16. I use these - They are a High Quality Tungsten unit. The Zappu Cocho Cocho Head Plus comes equipped with an Owner #2 size hook, slightly larger than the #4 hook that is fitted on the original Cocho Cocho Head. A-Jay

  21. Got on the water today right at sunrise - a pretty stiff breeze came on at about 8 am. I'd been on this lake just a few days ago in what seemed to me like very similar conditions. Last time I started on wind blown points - tried several spots & baits. Did nothing. No bait & no Bass. So shifted gears & fished weedy mid-lake flats. Got bit right away. Both Brown & Green Bass. So this morning, I started on mid-lake weed flats - Nada. No Bait & No bass to be found. Tried several spots & baits. So I shifted gears, went back to windy points. Got bit right away. All Brown bass. Conditions on both trips looks the same to me but obviously something changed. I just shook my head - I think they do that on purpose. A-Jay
  22. Dude ~ Nice Bass ! And the Night Stalking strikes again Congrats btw - that looks like old One Eye A-Jay
  23. And as hard as it may be to believe - It get's Better . . . One just has to have the Stones to go out in the scary darkness. A-Jay
