Quincy Reservoir just opened in Denver, prime spot for Bass and Smallies...lots of deep creek channels in there. i think its $5 or $7 a day. One thing i recommend while you are in town as soon as you leave the airport, stop by Basspro on I70 & Quebec Ave. and buy a 7 day fishing license otherwise you can't fish anywhere in Colorado...its just not worth the risk of a huge fine...

Just saying whats up from Colorado, Went to Rocky Mountain Arsenal which is a 8,000 acre wildlife Refuge just north of downtown Denver and went fishing at 1 of there two lakes and pulled this bad boy in. Its my first Northern Pike ever caught him on a black/tan jig with rage craw trailer. I am still skunked with LMB since ive been here but apparently the average LMB in this lake is 4lbs+. Anyway hope all is well in VA! tight lines!

A nice one! Tough to tell from the coloration on the picture but it looks like a channel cat. on the Shenandoah in front royal this evening, caught a 6 lb 4 oz cat my 3rd cast using shrimp. i lost 3 hooks and 3 tungston weights, the current was pretty strong and the water was really warm and somewhat shallow. was a good time. didnt get a chance to go after any smallies though maybe sometime later in life.... Off to denver Co on monday tight lines peoples! anyone know what type of catfish this is?

ive been fishing there for a year and a half and have never seen anyone else down there, only thing that sucks is i let my 2 young painted turtles go in there, hope they survive that monster

we had him almost to the bank, but i was in a tough spot to pick him up the line finally gave way..was using 14lb line to....it was huge biggest ive ever seen...

to bad it was a giagantor snapping turtle, d**n head was as big as my fist. pulled it out of my neighborhood pond. i've been fishing there over a year and never knew he was in there....i was flipping baby brush hogs along the bank and felt a tug, so i set the hook, nothing moved so i thought i was snagged i pulled and it moved so i thought it was a stick or something so i reeled it in and at about 5 feet away he made his appearance the shell was probably 3/4 the size of a man hole cover...hope he gets that hook out of his mouth =X

I noticed the other day that Mapquest was more updated then google maps, might wanna try that option too...

and if you know someone, swimming in there seems pretty cool to, the water was really warm....

I hit up lake audubon last night with a buddy and the top water bit is killin it there right now, both times ive gone in the past couple weeks we've probably caught 30 fish on top water from 7pm-dark. just sucks 90% of them were 1lb and smaller :-/

X2 Not a baby Brush Hog either, the full size. Baby brush hogs are killin it at every pond i've fished over the past 3 weeks...

Can you tell me which ones are gov sites? so i dont waste my time ;D i was mainly looking at the one at westfields/stonecroft and stonecroft/lee intersections.

Before i go hunting this week for new spots, anyone have any info on the spots ive circled in chantilly

you could also make a right on belmont ridge parkway then a left on riverside parkway go over the bridge and park in the neighborhood to the left and walk down the hill where the bridge is...haven't fished there yet but when down there the other day and it looks pretty nice...
