Been out there before the ice over in the cold and snow flurries fishing thinking I should be hunting?

My PB is 10lbs. It scared me in the twilight at 5am. Never seen a freshwater fish this big in the northeast. The fish in my pic is 6.1 lbs. I believe every state has big bass. Soon after I posted mine on the ct sight many bass were caught between 9lbs to 11lbs in ct. It surely raised the bar. But soon after the ct sight became a pay for view. I didn't mean to hurt egos.

I could post a list of lures that didn't work for me but it could be I used them from shore. Maybe in deeper water than ten feet they would work. Mainly six crankbaits that caught nothing. Ok I'm fishing and land one bass. I figured this one is for my kittens. A guy walks up with his girlfriend looks at my bass and starts telling her the one he caught the other day was bigger. I put my fish on my clip stringer in the water. I then walked my gear to the car. I come back my fish is gone. I looked at him and I said nothing. Karma works in many ways he caught nothing. Like one fish I take per year is going to hurt the population.

While one color or size may catch a few bass another color could load the boat. Plus the bass don't see all the colors all the time like we do. When I find a new bait that works I buy an assortment of colors too. On a tough day change colors.
