Boat Fail
Great video Glenn. I grease the hitch ball, the locking wedge on the binder guide plate on the hitch. Lube the trailer wheel bearings often. Don't forget to check all the light bulbs

Amazon had rattle traps for $14 when TW had them for around $6. I purchased five. No eating at McDonald's that day I ate at a mom n pops local greasy spoon. I saved big-time. Lol

I used a cheaper spinning reel as a example. Not a top shelf reel but it works. I gave the family diawa spinning reels on nice bass rods for Christmas. They were used by the family a lot. My family could care less about cost as long as they can fish with it. This Christmas I'm thinking about a spinnerbait setup and a pre made c-rig Setup with senkos/bizzbaits/brushogs. I want to take them to the next level. Shopping smart allows me to help them.

It's just a reminder to shop around and know the list prices There are some great deals out there. Shop smart. If you want to be mean that's ok too. Maybe you pushed the "buy it now" button before checking out other deals. Now your pennies short for a happy meal. Save $$ eat better. Sometimes we need a memory jogger. A refresh.

Boat Fail
I "X" cross my two safety chains under my 10,000lb trailer. The heavy grade 1/2" chain goes from the trailer vee hitch to the truck frame. Funny, my dad had a rental business in the 50's he rented out one bag cement mixers. We're towing one when it broke free and passed us on the left side of the truck. While it was on the left side of us I tapped my dad on the shoulder and said isn't that our cement mixer?? Holy cow the old man said as the mixer cut us off and slid into the shoulder. Ever since that day I go beyond what the safety chains have to be. Weird stuff happens.

Know the new list price of what your looking for. Some sellers don't know the exact value of there fishing equipment. Some tend to over price it. Example I was just browsing for a reel. The seller says $39. I found a brand new one for $29. The savings is above the dollar menu and beyond a happy, happy meal. Before you buy online check the present list prices. It's just a search that can save you $$$. Watch out for the auction sights.

Things You Shouldn't Say To Your Significant Other
I don't say anything about the wife's weight. She will stop eating. She's only 125lbs now and 5'8". She looks great but she needs to gain a few pounds. I tell her she's pretty, sexy, my Angel, still looking hot etc. Never touch the weight issue, hair coloring (grey hair), getting old, wrinkles etc. If ya have nothing good to day, don't speak.

Rating Rod Backbone Now.
I seen Ike rate a backbone (%) vs the tip (%) finally. I understand this with hooksets. Like a 60% / 40%. How high up the backbone goes. (Power) It's good to see the rods evolving.

Light Spincast Rod ?
Ill look again I think it says spincast. These came from a discount house. They could be disassembled combos im not sure. Ill try to get pics.
-
Light Spincast Rod ?
The rod is 60% backbone and 40% flex at the tip. Not too bad for using a casting reel with lighter baits.
-
Light Spincast Rod ?
Does anyone use a light spincast 5'6" rod for a light casting rod?

I'm Stoked, Starting A Bike Build
Indian Motorcycles are back, sales are up. I like the old Indian inline four cylinder and the Harley knucklehead. I just purchased the correct frame for a husqvarna 390 OR. Restorations and builds are fun.

Suspending Deep Divers
I purchased most of the rapala stuff that sports authority had on clearance years ago. I picked up a rapala jointed 6" countdown minnow in blue with a yellow bottom. Every time I drop it straight down off this low bridge in the same exact spot in 9 ft of water let it hit the bottom then I raise it just off the bottom I twitch it. Don't raise it just twitch it. I catch a bass in that spot every time. In saltwater we call it jigging. Does anyone do this for bass?

Adding Rattles To Jigs, Yea Or Nay?
A fleeing Baitfish makes a rattle noise they say. Or a clicking noise. I don't know if it's a warning to the other fish but it's a dinnerbell to the bass. I have stopped my bomber model A CRANKBAIT in red Apple craw over submerged weeds in the open pockets and just twitched it. Just twitch it a little so it almost stays in one spot. They come up to hit it most of the time. It has a different tone with bb sized balls. Seeing this rattles work.

Halloween Weekend: Be Cautious And Observant
I feel bad for the kids. In the 70's we would go through 15+ bags of candy. At the new place nothing. No kids. Sad. As a kid in north Jersey we would be out from after school to dark in the 50's. The only bad kids were my three older brothers. They looked out for everyone.

Halloween Weekend: Be Cautious And Observant
No one trick or treats anymore only family stops by. Well keep a head count on the family. Friday night is mischievous night? The country area is quiet. Why they all shoot 24/7. I call them northern rednecks. Or hicks, strange breed up here it's no place to upset the natives. I love the smell of gun power at 1am smells like freedom, victory. I guess it's how this country was born on and survived. When you get away into the rural areas this nation goes back in time to family values.

Sight Line Fishing
What a minute here were not dumb anglers. Maybe we all don't have PHD's in bass fishing. Don't let that pea sized brain fool you. Maybe they can't think like us but that little micro processor they have is a eating machine. We need to figure out what's on there menu. Plastic or metal with garlic?
-
Sight Line Fishing
As per Dr. Loren Hill's ten years of studying bass in seeing colors they don't see all the colors all the time. There limited to seeing certain colors do to light and water conditions.

Things You Shouldn't Say To Your Significant Other
Just say nothing silence is golden. The secret to being married 41 years is,,,,, Three tv's in separate rooms. Why three in case one dies.(tv). Don't get her ginsu knives. Or learn the kungfu moves to dodge them. Or run forest, run and zig zag so you dodge them in flight. A couch pillow can be a life saver for catching them. Lol/ kidding. We don't argue. It's my way or the highway. It's noisy in this cardboard box on I70? Being married is a partnership between you, your wife and the dog. The dog gets better taken care of. I wonder if I poop on the floor if that will help.??? She walks the dog I go fishing. I love my life, my wife and the dog and six cats. Life is good. I only got married once if that ever changes at 65yo I'd adopt two thirty year olds next. Well maybe a 30yo and a 35yo?(65?) Or two 20yo and one 25yo?(=65?) Now if you really want to pizz her off ask her while she's cleaning the cats litter box, tell her we have a toilet she can use now it's ok. U thought married with children was a good show. Sorry I'm a few cents short of a happy meal today. Lmao Life should be great with your partner, humor along the way is good.

River Smallies Testing My Patience
The rebel crawfish crankbaits the smaller ones run shallow or deep. In chartruese the bass love them in rivers and streams. I find the panther Martin's #4 silver blade yellow/orange dressed with the red teaser. I scale down my bait size. I cast out farther then my target hole, backwash or exposed rock and bring my bait to it. Depending on how big your river is. Smallies like the joesfly in his 1/4oz bass size in firetiger apache. Just reel it slow enough to spin the blade.

Adding Rattles To Jigs, Yea Or Nay?
Yes with my jig purchase from Sieberts outdoors I purchased the double rattle holders for the jigs. I play on all the basses senses. Sound, sight, smell, and vibration. To me I'm in a poker game with four aces. There are different tones in rattles. High pitch and low pitch in crankbaits. It's a one ball knocker or a multiple of smaller balls. Again a low tone or a high tone. I'm not sure what's available for jigs. I use a rattle in the worm heads too. I think it's an advantage.
