Adding Scent To Elaztech Plastics ?
Baitmate scents. YUM scents When your favorite scent isn't working try garlic. With pre-scented or salted plastics I use no scents on the first cast. If I get a strike and a miss one shot of scent is a 100% hookup on the next cast.

Tried The Ned Rig Twice
But the split shot worm rig has probably caught more bass than all the other rigs. It's the 30-30 of the fishing world still popular. For me it's one of my old faithfuls. I was fishing a popular lake from shore a large man made lake with running current(dammed river). I tossed a split shot rig and thought I hit a log. The next cast a 3 1/2lb bass was landed. It was quick action. The black rubber 6" creme worm has stood the test of time for decades since the last century. Each bait or style of fishing we master is a plus in our success on a tough day. We need more skills in our arsenal to stay on the top of our game. The NED RIG ill make some up.

White River Fishing In Vermont????
I'm right near the white river and not far where it starts up from the springs up in the mountains. Have to fish there soon I hope.

Tried The Ned Rig Twice
Lol, The original split shot rig we used with a smelled #2hook threaded through a black plastic worm in 1970's has been redirected often but no new rig name yet. Lol

Tried The Ned Rig Twice
I seen this type of rig used in the open weed pockets with a 2" yellow grub pull out bass from every open hole.

Tried The Ned Rig Twice
The NED rig?? It's a weighted jig head on a hook with a grub or other plastics. I have the heads in weedless and plain hooks for decades. Now it's a Ned rig? Please tell me it's not so.

Is anyone fishing the white river in central vt in the Rochester area near the golf course??? This area years ago was noted for having 20" Brown trout before the bad hurricane hit up there.

The Mighty Senko Fails
You would be surprised I threw a flying lure in a new drainage pond and it caught bass. I purchased the flying lure on clearance for 0.99 cents. Then I'm thinking maybe throwing something completely off the wall different silly right?

Giant Swim Baits...giant Bass?/!
I had the peacock bass lur jensen prop lures custom painted in bass colors. I also had the great northern pike lures repainted in bass colors too. Even the mister twister super top prop pike / Muskie lures custom painted in blue gill, perch, orange goldfish color, etc again in bass colors. I'm a firm believer big baits=big bass. I once caught a 13" pickerel on a 12" blackshad culprit worn. Seeing this fired up my theory that any bigger bait could mean success. My PB of 10lbs I could fit maybe four or five of my fists in its mouth. Little young ducks, baby ducks goodbye. Just my thoughts sorry.

The Mighty Senko Fails
I know the fish are there that's why I'm fishing there. I use hardbaits, spinnerbaits, inline spinners first in the dark to Sun up. As the fish move away from shore I go deeper with a c-rig and jigs. These unfinished places are full of bass. The heavily fished places there not throwing bass baits. So it's open season. I don't fish in the evenings so I don't teach people who take fish. One guy I met there stopped by one night and hollered out from his window he'd be back checking licenses. The whole family of ten packed up and left. Too many non licensed people taking fish.

Snaps And Swivels
I use the ball bearing locking snap swivels. I have a standard barrel swivel on the end of my Carolina rig I have pre rigged plastics that I change out quickly. I get more swinging smoother side to side movement on my hardbaits too. I can tie knots plus the ease of changing baits. You need to use quality bearing locking snap swivels.

30 Degrees Tonight In Ct.
I hope to night fish soon. Maybe this weekend even with a 400lb bear in the area. I'll throw him a crappie or two. This is the best time to fish but mother nature just isn't letting up. Frost in some places. I was going to plant the garden. I need to get the tomatoes and deer corn in. I'm dying to walk the dog topwater.

Thoughts On Plastic Crawdads?
Does anyone add a rattle to there plastics?? I like to put a small thin worm rattle in my plastics. I use a scent, a rattle and a brighter color in muddy to darker stained water. I play on all the bass senses. All my Sieberts jigs have rattles. It's ringing the dinnerbell.

Giant Swim Baits...giant Bass?/!
From shore I toss bigger baits when no one is around. I have a few light saltwater spinning setups. I even toss the 9" castaic trout lure. She swims spot on. Looks very real. I do watch for snapping turtles. They have stolen my smaller lures when I wasn't watching. Then blend in on the bottom like a rock. Fool me once you pay. My 8lb Excalibur silver thread line has dragged turtles in the size of my tire on my wrangler. The catfish bite was unbelievable soon after. I released it but he stirred up the bottom.
