Nine months to a year it lasts. I feel like dumping the pain meds and hitting the bottle it will numb it all up? LOL

I'm going for testing soon there going to numb each nerve to see which one is it then burn it. It hurts so bad I'm bed ridden. Has anyone done this yet. My joints and discs are fine I can pick up anything.

I feel is you can afford the monthly payment you can afford the gas. My Subaru goes two weeks on a tank of gas. My jeep can't pass a gas station it's getting juice every 4 days. We drive the Subie.

Another cooler front after the thunder storms last night. Feel like September today. Going to try Saturday morning at 3:30am. I have a pitched nerve in my back but I'm on new meds so I can move a little. I need to fish. Fish everyday and fish to when the bass come off the beds. Time it with the moon phases. Catch this unbelievable feeding frenzy.

Low light is where the fish don't hide as much. It's awesome inline spinner, spinnerbaits, c rig area. Small panther Martin spinflys or Joe's fly 1/4oz bass size. Try a tad brighter than natural colors in the daytime. Forwards dusk it's full on brighter.

The fish learn our baits year after year fishing the same baits. Throw something different.

Picking your favorite color will work and catch a few bass. But choosing the correct color could load the boat with bass. I been fishing from shore at some pressured ponds and lakes and a few unfinished ones. Each year there is a hot bait that won't work the way it did llastyear like during this year. It's just not hot anymore. FACT, Fishing from shore for decades at the same spots each year the fish learn our baits. I keep on reinventing myself by changing scents, colors and baits. I'm fooling the same bass over and over. I was in a local mom/pop bait shop and I purchased a large orange off brand spook for $2. On the way home I thought I wasted $2. I was throwing it and caught five nice bass right away. A orange spook whod a thunk it? It was an overcast, cloudy, light rainy day. My theory is in the low light use brighter colors. I put on a Joe's fly firetiger apache inline spinner 1/4oz bass size. I skipped casted the whole area for 19 bass. While standing in one spot. This was midday, the full moon phase was on. I even had deer near me. I stopped at another spot on the way home and caught three 3lb bass, one lmb and two smallies. I had a few minutes to spare just a few casts. Same JF LURE it's chartruese with a glow mixed in. I do not use a few colors when we have so many to choose from.

I will patiently throw everything in my tackle boxes looking for a strike. I refuse to give up knowing something will work. On my second pass through one tackle box I change up the presentations. I'm not rushing. The thinner crankbaits with the chartruese color with the thin black triangles on it caught a bass. Right bait wrong color the other color cranks didn't work. On a tough day chartruese is your friend. Same spot different day the Amber red stik o worm worked great I caught three nice bass in the same spot. A few days later the red color nothing. I switched to the gambler ACE in electric blue and I'm on the fish again. This tells me we can have different water conditions in the water column. You can have a current on the bottom that can change the water conditions. Colors matter. The current, the sunlite and shade from the trees can change the effect of the colors we use. Don't get hung up on what worked before change baits and colors till something works. You maybe surprised at what color will catch bass on a tough day.

The best color? The one that catches fish at that moment. Your favorite color will catch a few bass but the correct color can load the boat. So it's a few bass vs a bushel of bass.

If you want to increase your bass fishing skills up to the next level, shoot for the clouds stop dreaming it, read it, watch it, learn it, then go out and do it, success will follow you. That's how I'm doing it. We never stop learning. Take your idle time and invest it here learning everything. Your investing into your future in bass fishing there are no short cuts. Take one bait out and practice many different presentations with it. Hone your skills.

Color is my thing I'm a color freak when it comes to bass fishing. After doing some research into Dr. Loren Hill of OK UNV who did a ten year test about bass seeing different colors. They do not see colors all the time like we do. The sunlite, the hues in the water and plant life influences what colors the bass can see under certain conditions. Some days it's limited to certain colors. Some days one color maybe the hot one. Other days any colors will work. The time we spend on the water will prove this to use. I throw a variety of different baits and colors till one works. It also applies to crankbaits, plastics, jigs, spinnerbaits, everything we throw. If they can't see it they can't strike it. It's a color thing not the bass bite being off. On a tough bite day think chartruese. Remember what color killed them today might not work tomorrow, things change.

Look for structure, weeds, Lilly pads any hiding place that will hold bass. Early mornings, noon time and in the evenings is when the bite can really turn on. Otherwise I fish deeper when there buried in the cover. Post spawn throw a split shot rigged lizzard.

We're still having colder temps at night in ct. It could be a late cycle. But if you can see the bass they can see you. Do people feed them there? I don't like pulling bass off there beds. I wait and try to time the feeding frenzy when they come off the beds.

My hottest crankbaits color is the BOMBER crankbaits in redapplecraw. Size 05 model FAT A or model A.

My PB 10lbs was caught on a rebel BIG CLAW CRAWFISH crankbaits 4:30/5:00am.

When the bass bite is on and it slows down up size your baits. I go from a #3 mepps to a #4 or #5. I find the bigger bass will come closer to see what the smaller bass are doing. It shuts down the smaller bass bite. Bigger bass try fishing from early morning darkness till dawn. Don't be afraid to throw larger baits.

My brother loved surf fishing plus he had local honey holes that produced big stripers. When the blues came close to shore the surf fishing was very hot. He was my mentor. My dad and my brother went Deep sea fishing off the highlands in Jersey. I was too small then.

Tip, I use a yum or bait mate shad and craw scent. But if I get no action the garlic scent is my change up pitch. Try it. Just change up your flavor of scents.

All the colors. I have every color that Norman offers in there Thin N and Fat Boy. I have every color that Bomber offers in there Fat A and Model A. Just using or narrowing down a few colors is tough. Sooner or later they all catch fish under certain conditions. The cranks in the craw fish colors are hot. The cranks with the Orange bottoms are also hot too.

I change baits till I get action. Topwater is my first choice to throw out there. Read the water. If the bass are breaking the surface then go topwater. Don't cast into were there breaking. I cast along side them and past them. I pop the popper along side them drawing them out. If we cast at them we spook them.

I purchase any brand too. There are some better buys online at the auction sights. You can buy eagle claws there too. Look for sales and clearances too. Buy a 5 pk. To hold you over till a better buy comes along. Shop smart and buy more for less it keeps me fishing. The weedless spring is my strike indicator. If I get a tap and miss it and it comes up open its a strike and a miss. If it comes up closed my bait bumped something. When selecting a hook size I always go one hook size larger. I find I get more hookups using the larger hook. Tip, when purchasing new different plastics before you go fishing check the plastics out to make sure you have the correct hook size for it. Example, I purchased the BPS STIK O WORMS size 7 1/4" I never knew these were so large. I went fishing without seeing them. I put the largest hook I had in it. I'm fishing the drop off and as the worm got close to were I could see it a very large bass had it in its mouth. I seen a small part of the worm sticking out. I froze not being sure if the hook would set properly. The seconds felt like minutes passing by. I finally went for the hookset and missed it. I watched possibly a new state record swim away. We do learn something new on every trip this one was costly. I was in a rush to go fishing and didn't do my homework first. You learn from my mistakes. I was new to senkos fishing back then. Hook size really matters. Remember to bring a kid fishing often.

I been using Excaliber Silver Thread copolymer line for decades. I have tried other brands but I'm back to the silver thread every time. Years ago Excalibur posted on there website the testing results of bending and abrasion testing against other popular lines at that time and Excalibur out lasted all the others. I been using it ever since I read the results.

In my first year of being heavy into bass fishing around the time this forum started up. I was catching bass on live bait. I was spending up to $50 and more taking the kids fishing too. Then one night while reeling in a night crawler I had a strike. I thought to myself the bass wanted something moving. A weather front was approaching in two hours rain was due. I had a set of those mepps #3 inline spinners. I put on a silver blade with a gray tail. I started catching bass after bass. I tossed the red/white one with the brown tail and we caught doubles for like 45 minutes to an hour till it got dark. I started using two rod setups one with live bait and one with lures. As I learned the presentations the lure setup i stayed fishing with live bait. Learning and trying all the different p presentations is the key to success. Now as the spring became summer here comes that nasty green stuff. It stopped my fishing dead. I learned very quickly about surface weeds, submerged weeds. Now my baits changed direction I searched about fishing in the weeds. I found out there are plenty of weedless baits. One of my buddies swears by live minnows. I took out a mepps timber doidle "0" silver blade with the 4" white split double tail tralier(grub). We started fishing off a man-made dam/road. I was 2' feet above the water. I could see the open weed pockets. I casted it out and let it drop in the open pockets. I out fished his live minnows. My next successful bait is the mister twister top prop. Using my favorite 1, 2, 3, short rip then pause presentation turned out to be successful too. Even with the trailer and trailer hook it's weedless. There's also jigs too. Heavy weighted c rigs. My point is don't let the weeds stop you from fishing I don't use any live bait since then. I'm sorry if I'm boring but I like to see everyone improve and catch bass. Mainly the youngsters that's my goal. I stop fishing many times to help the kids.
