I just want to say thanks for all the welcome and the welcome back posts! I will be down there in Blue eye next week to close on the house. Are any of you guys going to fish the Big Bass tournament in May?

LOL, Chris that was funny!!!!! At least you are going to bring the food & beer! There is a price to pay to get to know the lake!!! But the tents have to be gone by labor Day!

I was thinking about that because my house is in Blue Eye and I am not too far away from the 86 bridge,and I know that south of the 86 bridge is AK.water.That is the cost for a year license?

Insanity, Yes lots and homes were cheaper 20 years ago on Table Rock lake. But that is true every where! but I do think you are wrong on some things. One for sure is the home that I bought on Table Rock I could NEVER afford here in Wisconsin! On the Rock if you want a lake view you are going to pay more but, there are alot of nice homes away from the lake that are not bad price's.And it is cheaper to live there than were I am now.The lot I bought 9 years ago I am selling for what I payed for it.The bass fishing is great and the people are very friendly it is like another world to us.My wife and I worked hard our whole life to live this.We only bought one house that we lived in and had two kids and we lived there for 28 years.So this home that we bought is our Xmas gift to each other.I do think if you like the Table rock area that you should look at more homes down there.There are alot of good deals to be had.We looked at alot of homes before we found our's. We put in a low offer and one counter it was a deal.Don't give up.Good Luck My friend.

Blue basser, We did buy our house in Blue Eye,the house over looks the lake with a wicked view. I do have a lot in Kimberling city over by fisher creek that I will sell now. It was too $$$$$ to build.So we went and bought. I like the Kimberling are alot too. where my house is in Blue Eye we are a distance from food stores I would think about 20 miles.By water if I put my boat in at Cow creek it would take me 10 to 15 min. by water to fish Kimberling.

I have been off of this site for some time now, but I had alot going on! My wife and I bought a house on Table Rock and we are to close on it Dec. 27. We should be down there by March but I have to sell my house here first.We can't wait to come down to the lake.It has been our life long dream,and we found a house of our dreams too.We have to pinch each other every day to see if we are in a dream.I don't have to put up with hard water anymore! The bass fishing is great on the Rock and I know the lake alittle bit so it should be fun!

I would go 1/8 up tp 1/2 oz. but start with a 1/8 oz.

I like the Netbait 12 in. and there 15 in. C-Mac worms. This is the time to be fishing them on deep wewedlines.

My vote goes to NorthStar also. Best jig that I have ever fished!!

Like everyone said but, I fish alot of the Netbait Tiny Paca craw, the Baby paca and the Paca craws.But one great way to fish besides the T-rig is fish them on a weigthed hook and I lke the Mustad weighted hook because you can adjust the weight on the shank of the hook to give the craw a different fall. Many times the weighted hook CRAW bait will out fish it on a T-rig!

Great bait, and colors for me would be Greenpumpkin,Junebug,black,Black with blue flake,black grape!

could be too much line twist.or the trailer was not put on wright.Make sure the trailer is on the jig evan.

I guide at night and the Zoom Brush Hog is one of my go to baits for sure.My colors are greenpumpkin,junebug.Candy bug is my top color.but color can change from night to night and lake to lake! But don't make the mistake that many people make and try one or two colors and give up on the bait! Many times it was just a different color that turned them on. There is no magic color or size, some night they want the big hog and some nights the baby hog.But one thing is for sure the Zoom Brush Hog catch's alot of BIG bass and alot of numbers! This bait will one day go down in history as one of the best bass baits of all time! Enough said!

If you want to have some fun and cover more water from the bottom, try fishing the drop shot as a double drop shot. I use the VMC spin shot hooks. I put onw about 6 to 8 in. from the wweight and the other hook about 12 in. from the other hook.you will get doubles at times but now you can cover more water.

I have posted the double drop shot before. i have used the double drop shot for about 4 years now. And it works as good as one hook drop shot or better. And when VMC came out with the spin shot hooks it made evan a better rig with the hooks that do a 360 with no line twist! Now you can cover more water and have two baits at how deep you want and also try different colors untill you find what they want.I have had many doubles on.

One more thing,you don't need a high end rod for the A-rig remember it is a reaction bite! Just a 7 ft. to 71/2 H action ft. rod.There are alot of good mid priced rods out there!

I would go with the H action because if you ever go with bigger baits you have the rod that will handle it. Some guys use MH but for me the A-rig, I use H action and 65 lb. braid! And that works for any A-rig baits or weight that I want to throw.

I like to fish them in the spring and into the spawn and post spawn and again in the fall. But in the summer them dam Pike will tare them up! I hate Pike!

I have the answer for you==== JIKA rig!!!!! The Jika rig is perfect for what you want to do! It is great for any kind of weeds and it comes through the weeds better than any rig I have ever fished. Most of the hits will be on the fall so watch your line.The bait has much more movement. Give it a try!

try a Netbait Baby Paca craw or a chunk in the new color Sun Perch, or the brown blue. Or try a Magic craw color or anything with purple or blue as a stating point!
