  1. I use nothing but Seaguar in the fluro.lines and Sufix in mono. and the Sufix 832 for Braid!!
  2. A Co-Polymer like P-line has a nylon core and a Fluro.wrap. The best Co-Polymer that i ever fished was a line called Gamma. It is still out there on the market. They closed there doors and the Black family bought them now.
  3. I have been lucky over the years to have a good number of sponsers to this day! they treat me well! Here are my 5 1.Merc. 2 Lews 3.Power Pole 4.VMC 5.ST.Croix
  4. For Wacky I fish fluro.6 or 8 lb. And t-rigging on spinning I fish 8 and on a BC I fish 15 lb. But most of my T-rigs are on a BC set up.I have 6 rods set up on t-rigs.
  5. Evan 8,I hate to disagree with you! If you read my post again I posted 7 to 7 1/2 ft. H action! On a H action rod you will have a fast tip!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have fished with less $$$ rods for frogs and I have no problems.I have no problem setting the hook or pulling in all the weeds also.I guide and when we frog fish these are the rods we use!
  6. I fish a 1/8,1/4,1/2,3/4 oz. I can cover skinny water to deep.
  7. Oh I forgot this= The money you save on the rod you now can put into a GOOD reel. The reel is what matters more in this case, buy a good reel with a good drag!Don't go cheap on the reel!!!!
  8. You DON'T need to spend alot of money on a frog rod.You can get by fine with a 7 ft to 71/2 H action Ugly Stik! You don't need a high end rod because it is a reaction bite not a feel bite! There are alot of rods on the low side $$$,from $39 to 50 bucks.
  9. You could NOT give me a spool! I would rather fish with string!
  10. I have fished them and they are not a bad jig! But for my money I will take the NorthStar jigs over any jig out there!!!!!!!
  11. Glenn on any lake! Seems like a great guy! Man is is his head getting big! LOL just kidding Glenn, and it would be a honor to fish with you!
  12. The bigger the weight the better the feel. I fish a 1/2 to 1oz..tungsten weight on my C-rigs.
  13. This sucks!!! This is why I am moving to Mo. I hate Wi.weather! It has been so bad here, rain cold wind and we can't out of the 40's! It has been so bad that I have been playing in the bath tub with my baits!!! LOL
  14. I agree with WRB,don't waste your time on these bass. They have one thing on there mind and that is to start looking where to start to make a bed when the water temps are wright. I would target the points near where you see the cruisers,or the 1st or 2nd brake lines and try to find the females. The females are schooled up waiting for the water to warm so they can move up shallow. They are in a feeding mood and full of eggs.If you want a pig then start looking in deeper water, they are very close!
  15. For me it would be,green pumpkin, junebug, black, black grape, red, pumpkin, red shad.I like alot of color! I like to fish them on Buckeye flik-it jig wacky,T-rig,split shot rig,Megastrike shake-E-jig,and a drop shot,C-rig works too.
  16. I fish the C-Rig more in the summer when they are on deep weedlines,As for bed fish I think there are better ways to go than a C-rig,drop shot or a weighted worm or unweighted. On the Tap,Tap I just go back and pick my line up and set the hook on a side set ( Never set upwards ). If i keep missing fish i will change my bait or go bigger or smaller.I hope that this did help!
  17. I was watching a video on the jika rig and how much more movement the bait has.And how the T-rig bait lays flat. I fish alot of T-rigs but now I am thinking of changing all my T-rigs over to the Jika rig with different weights. So the people that have fished the Jika, should I make the change over or not? I have never fished the Jika so your input would help!
  18. NorthStar for me too! Best of the Best!
  19. I do alot better on tthe T-Rig.I fish alot of deep water in the summer.I fish with the weight inside and I don't do as well in deep water.
  20. I have fished the tube both ways and I catch more fish if I have the weight on the outside of the tube ( T-Rig,weighted hook .Is this just me? What is the way you have more faith in?
  21. Yes you can use it on braid. But IMO Real magic is junk,I use the KVD line & Lure cond.! Real Magic is a oil based product and i don't want that on my reels or line but, that is just me.Just a heads up. And I spray the KVD line cond. on braid also.
  22. I have been thinking of trying this braid out but just thought I would post this and get some feed back first!?
  23. Oh, i forgot my rod set-up= Well, I have about 5 rods set-up with the T-rig with different weights and hook size's.Here are some that I use= G-Loomis 7FT.Mh,with a Quantum PT BC, Carrot stix 7'3" MH with a Pflueger Supreme BC,Veritas 7ft. MH with a BPS PQ,=BPS Jonny Morris 7ft. Mh with a Shimano Ciica BC,and a spinning Carrot Stix 7ft.M with a Shimano Stradic. I fish fluorocarbon on the BC 12 to 15 lb. and the spinning 8 lb.!
  24. You can fish just about anything on a T-rig.The ones I like to fish are= brush Hogs, lizards, flukes, tubes, beavers, but the ones I like the most are the Netbait C-Mac and the baby Paca Craw. The C-Mac is a ribbon tail and i fish them up to 15 in.worms.
  25. OK,how come I can't find the Devils spear in any of my stores! I was thinking they stopped making it.I wanted to get some for my swim jigs!
