Man i can;t beleave all the bad feed back on the C-rig! I love this rig, and it is a big bass rig because most people fish it in deep water were the pigs hang out! The C-rig has been VERY good to me and I have also fished a small floating crankbait on this rig.True the Football and the swim jig are wright up there too.The one tip I can give is NEVER set the hook in a upward motion, always side set!

When I drop shot in deep water ( water from 10 to 25 ft.) I use a 1/2 oz. weight.Do you guys go bigger or stay lite?

Try fishing this trailer on a swim jig or any jig!!!! Take a Netbait Dirt Dog and slid it on the hook backwards so the legs come out of the sides of the skirt and then just cut the head off that sticks out past the hook.I have been fishing this setup on swim jigs,football heads,flippin jigs.And it has out fished any other trailer on a jig.Them little paddle ends drive them NUTS.

It sounds like your trouble is how you put the line on and not the L&L cond.? When you put your line on it may have twisted off of the filler spool.When that happens just turn the spool over.

Yes sir, I too did see that it did help on braid.I also don't think it fray's as bad. I would not be without this L&L cond.! I have done seminars and at the start of the seminar I would spray one reel with it and the same reel without it and at the end of the seminar,,people were shocked at the reel that I sprayed> All the memory was gone.

The 80lb. braid is like 20lb. mono! I know of many up here that fish 20 mono for froggin.

If you want a rod just for fishing frogs then don't spend alot of money on a high end rod!!! The frog bite is a reaction bite not a feel bite like a t-rig or a jig bite. You can pick up a great cheap rod for froggin. The reel is more inportant than the rod! You can pick up a Ugly Stik,Bass pro bionic when they are on sale or a Extreme.

I can't wait to throw them cigars. I know this much I will be able to cast alot further!

30 lb. is not over kill for me. I fish 30lb.,50lb.,65lb.,on swim jigs,frogs,C-rigs.I was thinking of fishing the 80lb. braid on a frog rod or a C-rig or evan the A-rig?

I took out two guys on a guide trip last summer we had a 49 in.er. It hit a black spinnerbait. TOO many teeth for me,just give me my LM & SM and I am happy!

I don't fish for them fish with all them teeth!
