  1. Most of you know that JJ has the best sent/dye out there! But I don't think many of you know of his Buzz-Frog or it has been a good secret! Go and see it on his web site and take a look. I have fished it for the last two years and it IS my go to Buzz.Well made, and a cool set up.
  2. I know that this is not what your asking but JJ's makes a very good Buzz Frog. And JJ's is a sponser and he also makes JJ's sent/die. For what it is worth. I have fished JJ's Buzz frog and I can say it puts fish in my boat!!!!
  3. It all sounds good! But I have never ate a crawfish! But it sounds good with onions but cool it on the hot stuff! LOL
  4. Give me the football and I will be as happy as a pig in mud!!!! With the swim jig very close!
  5. On the lakes that i guide on I always look for crawfish when I get to the lake.It is called molting when a crawfish sheds its skin.In the spring when they can be red I am not sure it is from molting but i would think so.From spring to late fall the crawfish can molt many times and the crawfish will shed there skin and be a different color as the season goes on.In my lakes they can be a redish in the spring and by mid summer be green with a redish orange to a gray color. And in some lakes they can change to brown/blue. There are a ton of different crawfish out there and every lake can be different, just turn some rocks over before you go out and match the the hatch. I have gone out on Delavan lake in summer and did my check and the crawfish were like a gray color and then a week later they were green/orange.I think they molt up six times give or take.
  6. I agree,I would not be without this little hook remover.Very cool little tool,I bought a few of them but, mine are the orange ones from Bill Dance.I think they are the same tool just a different color!
  7. I am with you on the big boy! I catch more on the Brush Hog than the Baby.
  8. I have fished both rigs alot over the years and I think the MoJo works better in rock. But that being said I will take the C-rig! I fish alot of deep water and I night fish a alot. And I don't get all that line twist that you get with th MoJo rig but you could always use a barrel to stop that.So I just thought I would ask you guys witch one you like and what is your go to bait? I like the Brush Hog or a 10 to 15 in.ribbon tail worm,or a Fluke.
  9. I agree and your son will love it and the time he will spend with you. Great deals that are not in the flyer also.
  10. I will have to give it a try,I am a sucker for new baits!
  11. NorthStar who is also a sponser on this site makes the best punch skirt that I have seen yet!!! He has them with rattles in the collar and without. If it is not on his site just ask him or e-mail him. Dan
  12. I have had Rangers,a Skeeter, and now a Triton and I can go into some pretty skinny water with them. Bass boats are made for speed, control, and shallow water.I don;t think a bass tracker can do anymore than the bass boats that I listed!!! I am not calling you out but to just state a fact.
  13. That is the time table that I was thinking!
  14. I don't know much about the rod! But the Lews reels are very nice but,if I where you I would get the Lews Mg model, they have a Lazer but I like the MG much better and i think it sells for about $119.
  15. They are nice jigs and they make a nice looking swim jig.
  16. I did see these Flu-Flu jigs AT Gander MTN.in 1/16 oz.and I was wondering if anyone fished these on a float-N-Fly? Or should I stay with them Punisher jigs?
  17. My vote is for the VMC spinshot also. Very sharp and not many fish get off.
  18. That darn kid comes by my house every year too! I can't catch him, VERY FAST!
  19. Yes the VMC hooks are very cool! Another way I fish the drop-shot is a double hook DS. And with the VMC hooks this is very easy to do. I set one hook/bait at say,10 in.from the weight and then the other hook/bait at maybe 15 to 20 in. from the weight. This way you get to cover two depths. And when you do get a double it is a blast because one wants to go south and the other wants to go north. The hardest part is getting them into the net.And you can set the baits at any depth you want. And you can change and put different baits on and different colors and see what the bass want that day.
  20. I did get to meet Bill more that a few times as I do some work for BPS and some of my sponsers. Bill is a CLASS ACT and then some! When you meet him you start to think is this a act! And I can tell you it is not, that is the way he is! Bill and KVD are my top two of the pro's that I did get to be with and Jimmy Houston at # 3.
  21. A C-rig you can cover alot of water and get a feel of what kind of bottom you are fishing. With a drop -shot is more of a finesse tech.
  22. Check out Lake-Link.com for Milwaukee reports.
  23. Yes bring your gear! The browns will be feeding. And it all depends on our winter here. In the river downtown Milwaukee the walleyes can be caught wright by Erie street. And there are some sm there too.Another good spot is under the Hoan Bridge where the river enters the lake. You can fish from shore in alot of areas.
  24. I get my flyer like two weeks before the classic. But in years past some people get them two weeks before me!What's up with that!
  25. It all depends on how much you want to spend. You can get some nice bass boats that have a few years on them.Just do your home work and if you buy used make sure to ask how many hours on the motor and if the lower unit has very been rebuilt! I myself like fiberglass, I have a Triton and I love it almost as much as my wife! But if you never have had a boat before I would tend to stay away from a fiberglass boat.If you never had your own boat you will bang it up some when you do get one( we all do it )and you don'y want to learn on a fiberglass boat you can do alot more damage that would be $$$$$$. Hope this did help.
