I fish big worms in the summer,and big baits don't always catch bigger fish.

I have no problems with the Paca's not lasting!! And when a claw does come off,keep fishing it!!!! Smallmouth love to tare a claw off and then eat the craw, so just help them out some!!!

I fish a 2/0 EWG and i have no problems. And if I get into any heavy weeds then I can change it over to a T-rigged without changing the hook out.

When the bass are on beds try throwing a Northstar Bull gill or any of his blue gill color of swim jigs! Or evan when the gills are on beds that will work.Bass can be hard to pick off of a bed,but the swim jigs helps that because it is a reaction bite. The bass get real mad at a Northstar gill colored swim jig coming into there nest!

That will happen now and then, it depends on the spring that we have. Like this year I too have seen this,but I think it has to do with the warm spring and how fast and early it did come. Up here in Wisconsin we are about 3 weeks ahead of a normal spring. Heck I did see my first June bug last week and they come out in late May early June on most years!

Any brown or greens work for me. But last year my HOT jig color was a green pumpkin/brown/blue football head. It was a Northstar jig and a Netbait chunk in Magic craw color.Just take a good look at the Northstar web site he has some great colors to pick from. They are the BEST jig I have ever fished! His Dirty water is very good, he has alot of colors that I like to fish so my list would be too long! But take a look at his magic craw color it too is a killer.

I have a 04 Merc.150 EFI and I want to pull the prop off to grease the shaft up. What is the nut size? And do I have to torc. wrench it at 55 lbs?

I have no problems with the Snag Proof frogs! And I like the Phat frog alot it will not SINK.

You can buy weedless pre-rigged worms also.

I bought the Carbon spinning reel and all I can say is JUNK! I could not evan turn the handle. My buddy also bought one and he got to use it two times B4 he had to take his back. Just buy a good reel like the President! Now I love my Carbonlite BC reel.

Bluegills will spawn just after the bass do. Not sure about Bowfins.

I fish them with a slit shot weight. They can be fished under a foot or as deep as you want,just add weight.And fish them slow.

I catch a good small mouth every year 6 lbs. or over in my lakes. And I am not braggin! So lake Fork for me, to have a chance at a 10lb'er or better.

I like a Netbait Baby Paca Craw as a trailer or a grub on a Northstar jig.

Here is another idea on the wacky rig. I like to use a Flick-It jig made by Buckeye Lures and Bass Pro has there brand also. It is a little football head with a wire weed guard and it is made for wacky rigging.With this jig I can now fish any worm as a wacky rig,( not just senko's )such as a trick worm,robo worm,french fry worm,fin.worm,ect. Another one I may try is a swimming jig. I think kids get bored with a bobber so keep them casting and when they do catch a fish there confidence will go sky high! That is why I like the wacky rig so much, it will teach kids how to feel; the bite,watch the line, and they will catch a ton of fish, from walleye,pike,rock bass,and evan a big gill now and then.And it will help them when you want to teach them how to fish the t-rig,jigs,C-rigs ect. And the BEST part of the wacky rig is that you CAN'T fish it wrong!!!!!

My vote would be the senko or a wacky rig. I have turned so many Dads onto this at my seminars for there kids. It is so easy to fish and not alot of over thinking for the kids. Anyone that can't catch a fish on this rig should take up golf.

I was out yesterday and I did fish Sun.+ Mon. on 3 lakes in SE Wisconsin and the one I did fish yesterday was a super clear lake and the bass were EARLY pre spawn! No males up shallow, but we did get some in the 8 to 12 ft.range that were males on weedlines. The other two lakes they were just a few beds with males up. And up in the North part of the state is often behind the south part of the state. We had the big warm up in March and that did kick everything ahead about 3 to 4 weeks. But then we had cold weather,rain and some very cold nights that cooled the water. By the end of March,some of the lakes that I was on were low 60's and now on the same lakes this week there were mid 50's to upper 50's so it became a normal spring. The bass that were on beds ( males ) came off with the change.I would say that maybe, a week maybe two weeks ahead now! You should hit them in the spawn period with some warm weather.
