  1. Thanks guys,I found the nut.
  2. It has been at least that long for me!
  3. You may be ok in deeper water with the jig. The water is still pretty cold in the deeper water. So I would still at least slow down. Good luck!
  4. I would down size my bait and slow way down !

I would hate to see that fine!
  6. It can make a fishing trip alot more fun and a bit more easy if you have more than one rod. I make my trips real easy,I have 26 rods in my boat. But that is just what I like to do. I am not saying YOU need that many! I guide and fish a few tournaments so I feel I need that many.. To answer your question yes, I agree that is a good all around rod.

    Flukes, 5 in. grubs,spinnerbaits,paddle tails,beavers,swim jigs.
  8. Nice thing you did! it is all about the kids!
  9. Rod companys rate there rods different! You can have one rod company's rod and it will be a 7 ft. MH and have another rod company's rod 7 ft. mh and they are different rod action, different tip! Abu Garca's Veritas rod is a very lite rod but has a stiff tip to it in 7 ft.MH. I can go to a St.Croix Avid 7 ft. MH and the tip is a soft tip compares to the Garca. If you caught a few 4 LBS.fish on that rod than I would think it may be you are the problem ( Sorry not trying to get you upset ). But I don't think it is your line, I have a CL in Mh and I have no problems. As for Fluro. I think it will help you more that it will hurt you.
  10. My buddy bought a Revo S combo ( Allstar rod ) and how does the cover come off to set the brakes? I tryed and I could not get it to open or come off. Is there a trick?
  11. Can anyone tell me the rules for fishing the A-rig in Wisconsin? I know any combo of 3 hooks. Can you run a two with baits with no hook. I was told by someone that you can't run a 4 and 5 bait with no hook. I have tryed to call the DNR and that is a joke, all I get are recordings and leave a number that they never call back.
  12. I like a bit faster reel to pick up line when they run at you! And it is harder to speed up on a slower reel than it is to slow down on a faster reel.
  13. Good job.
  14. I am not sure if it works that way with a hook or not. I am sure, that I catch ALOT of bass on a brush hog and the baby also. Maybe if you have fish tank you could see if that is true or not. I don't worry too much about them things. I think it has to do more with the speed of the bait, color, and motion of the bait. And where you are putting the bait. JMHO.
  15. Welcome to the site.good to have another fisherman come on.
  16. Try the San Diego Jam knot, which is a improved clinch knot tied backwards. It is a very strong knot that will not slip!
  17. I myself would go 12 or 15.Because now you can fish both open water and docks, wood ect. and not have to worry!
  18. Look up fishing knots.com for all knots and how to tie them!
  19. Seaguar Invizx or Seaguar Arazx!
  20. Brush hogs and 8 in. to 15 in. ribbon tails worms. June bug, candy bug, tequila sunrise, black, any form of grape.
  21. I have 1,717 on my boat! LOL My colors are= black,grape,black grape,june bug, greenpumpkin,black blue flake,tequila sunrise,red shad,!
  22. The bad thing about this rig up in the Midwest is them darn Pike that may tare it up!
  23. I think it comes down to how much time you spend on the water! If a guy can fish 2 days a week to 5 days he can do this leave it at home. But the guy that only can fish one time a week or less, that would be a hard thing to do to learn some new tech. or lure!
