  1. Gander MTN. has a BIG sale ( First Cast ) on reels, rods, combos, lures.I still like the PQ alot,I thought I would just give you a heads up!
  2. X 2. and any black purple or grape!
  3. X 3= The PQ's are very good reels for the $$$$.
  4. Try the new Spin-Shot hooks by VMC. The new thing for Drop shot fisherman. I will change all my drop shot rigs over to this VMC hooks. No more line twist.Ya hoo!
  5. Yep spot-on Vinny! And like Riverrat said they are both reaction baits. I throw more swim jigs that I do spinners. But in windy days I will take the spinner. In the spring that Northstar New Gill is a KILLER in both baits! As for trailers try a Netbait Magic Craw color in the Kickin B,chunk, chunk SR.,or a baby Paca craw. In the summer try fish the Northstar football jigs ( 1/2 oz. to 1 oz. ) on deep weed lines==HANG-ON!
  6. I will be down there May 19-26. I will be in the Kimberling City area. I will be talking to some builders. If this warm weather keeps up, I would say they will be in there summer patterns. The spawn is over by late April or early May on a normal spring. As the other post said about trying drop shot ect.
  7. I have a slush fund too! I just wait untill she is sleeping and then I restock! LOL
  8. Is your wife there with you when you wrote this? LOL
  9. I will have to go with Fishes In trees on this one! I did get the Hibernet for Fathers Day two years ago,and I love it! It is easy to use and it stows away so nice and takes up no room. In the store it seems kind of hard to open but it will brake-in and will open with no problems once it is broke-in. Just remember to put the net in the open and let it air dry. Great net!!!!!
  10. I held back this year and I only spent $ 240.00. Two reels,line, and plastic's that I don't need,hooks. I had to load up on them spin-shot hooks.
  11. Ok I did it, I hope to get the free pack and give them a try. I always wanted to try them but they where too $$$$$ for my blood! But I will try them if they send a pack to me!
  12. Yep, This post was spot-on. A great rig to throw, and it is a big fish rig in the summer on deep weed lines. And you can fish ANYTHING on them. I know guys that fish crankbaits on them.
  13. I would not be without them! I bought mine at Gander and they work great in my rod lockers. With the Bass Pro rod socks, the strap would get caught in other reels ect. But the rod jackets come all the way ( or all most ) to the reel. I guide and I have like 27 rods in my two rod lockers ( I know I am crazy ) and the jackets help me out alot and alot less problems for sure. Like the one post said the worst thing is getting a hook in one of them!
  14. The ONLY two that I use are JJ's Magic and Mega-Strike. The Mega-Strike is a cream base so I sue that whem I am punching in heavy weeds. The JJ's I use when,T-rig,C-rig,ect.
  15. I would have to say these 3 for me too!
  16. Good job, I am happy for ya. That's what this site is all about helping each other out!
  17. How do you become a marshal?
  18. The sale will last untill March 31.
  19. I have seen all 3 and I would go Fenwick. But it is apple and oranges. But I like the Fenwick.
  20. With a 6'9" MH you can fish alot of different rigs. You could fish that rod for jigs,T-rigs,C-rig,senko's,swimming jigs, ect.! For a crank or spinnerbait rod I would perfer a rod like a 7 ' M action with a lite action tip. Now if frog fishing , that is a different story, then 7' To 71/2 ' H action and a EX fast tip. I hope that I did help.
  21. For me I like the Netbait C-Mac worms 7,12,15 in. and the Jelly worms. I use no weight and swim them slow on or over the weeds.
  22. Good deal! I have 3 of them and I like them alot. I work at Gander part time, so I can't look at them because I will end up buying one!
