  2. Sorry, I don't know much about the Lew's reels.
  3. I would think he would show up at these stores if he comes to the hicago store!
  4. I did hear last year that someone bought them and they were going to put it back on the market. what happened?
  5. I think the Creme worm was out in the 60's I was hopeing someone would remember the hook worm!
  6. Back in the 70's there was a worm called the Hook worm. I am not sure who made it but, it had all these littls spikes coming out of the whole worm and it had alittle curl tail. It was a 6 in worm. My first bass came on that worm!
  7. I don't want to name names or get anyone in trouble! But I was told by a person that is wright on in the past! Maybe I am being buffed but I don't think so and I hope not. KVD may be doing some of the midwest stores this year! And I would think them plans would have to have been a done deal by now! Because the flyer's will be out in a week or so for the stores Spring Classic and they take time to print and mail and they contract the pro's and what stores they have to be at and the times!
  8. I was told this today from BPS. I don't have the dates yet that he will be there! But I will post them as soon as I find out! Now this is very cool to have a big name again at the Chicago store!! It has been along time coming!!
  9. I just found out that Bass Pro is doing the vendors the last weekend of the classic and Kevin Vandam is coming to the the Bass Pro Spring Classic in the Chicago store!!!!!
  10. This should happen at all the stores! I think this came down from the mother ship!
  11. Maybe, they will, they have about 4 weeks to do something.
  12. I have been doing seminars for Bass Pro for about 8 years now. And the old way they did there spring classic was to have all the tackle vendors in there boths with there products out for display. And the vendors would give out coupons and have 2 for one deals ect.! They had seminars tank demo's ( and they still do the seminars, tank demo's ). You could talk to all the reps for that tackle vendor. And some of the big name pro's would show up for a vendor that is a sponsor for them, it was great to be there. The crowds where big and it was elbow to elbow. But Bass Pro did get away from this format why, I don't know or understand, maybe it was a money thing for the vendors or Bass Pro! But it is good to see them going back to the old days,,now that was the fun times at the BP Spring Classic's! This IS great news!!
  13. I do seminars for Bass Pro at there Spring Classic and I did get a e-mail today that Bass Pro is going back to the old Classic's!! *They are going to move all the boats outside and have all the tackle vendors back on the floor! Smart move on there part! Now you can talk to all the reps again and they will have specals from the vendors again. This should bring back some bigger crowds? And bigger names!!
  14. Northstar have the best jigs that I have fished or ever seen!!!! I can't chip his heads. I guide, and I have turned many onto the Northstar jigs. They just catch fish and will last for along time.No chips on the heads, skirts will not fall a part.Top of the line hook, weed guards, colors, weights ect. You could not give me another jig! I just wish anyone who does fish a jig should place a small order with Northstar and take the jigs for a swim. You will buy more, that I know for sure!
  15. The Bass Pro Spring Classic starts Feb.24 to March 11. But the rod & reel trade in is the second weekend of the classic. Should be ( March ) 3 & 4 this year.
  16. Me too! :laugh5:
  17. I have a whole tackle box full of them yet! I would have to take a better look at what I have yet. Just send me a PM!
  18. This is the first year for a rod trade in. I do seminars at BPS during the Classic and I have brought in many reels to trade or just give a reel. It works the same as the reel program, bring in a rod that is in fishing condition ( no eyes missing ) and get up $ 100.00 off on a rod. Key word here is DEPENDING on how much the rod is that you are buying. If you buy a $250.oo rod you may get $100 off, if you but a $50 rod you may get $10 off. I am not sure how the brake down will be yet.
  19. The Classic is just a short 30 days away! Did anyone get theres yet? I can't wait to see the sales!
  20. You don't need to spend big bucks on a frog rod!My frog rods are 7' 3" and a 7 1/2 ft,one is H action with a fast tip.The other is a MH x fast tip. I have a Fenwick HMG and the other is a Bass Pro Extreme. Like I said a frog is not about being a sensitive rod but more about power! My other rods that I fish are more about being sensitive because I am fishing the bottom or swimming a jig or spinnerbait ect.And I will spend good money on a good rod for that kind of fishing. ( $ 100.00 to $ 250.0) per rod. Just my two cents worth, I hope I did help!
  21. I did retire last May and I now work part time at Gander MTN. So I get to see all the new fishing rods, reels, tackle, that come in. And i did get to see the new Rage rod from St. croix. And I must say I was inpressed with it. It was $139.99. Did anyone get handle one yet? Or did anyone get to fish one? That are your thoughts?
