  1. I agree with RW here! You can't go wrong with these two reels.
  2. It is alot more easy to slow down than to speed up with any reel.I would go with a high speed in case to want to burn buzzbaits, frog fishing, cranks, spinnerbaits ect. ! There is nothing wrong with 6;4 reel but I can do more with a high speed reel and, if I need to I can slow down!
  3. If I were in your shoes I would pick the lighting rod every time over the Ulgy stick .I would fish a tree branch before a Ugly stick!!
  4. I do understand what farmer is saying, because that has happened to me on a few lakes that I fish. But I do think if a BIG pike comes into a bass feeding area that the bass will leave that area or hunker into the weeds. I guide on Delavan and lake Geneva alot and Delavan has big bass and trophy pike. But I guide at night most of the time and I don.t run into many pike at night! Maybe because I fish deep water but, I do run across some good walleye. We get pike on Delavan that are pushing the high 40 in.range and a few over 50 in. and I would hate to think what they would do to that A-rig no matter who made it.
  5. I agree about fishing the the wrong spot. But them pike seem to show up when you don't want them too! Pike will chase bass off of a spot that you were catching the bass on.
  6. My big concern would be fishing the A-rig and all the pike and musky we have up here in the midwest ( Wisconsin ). I would think bass fishing with this rig and paying $ 15 to $25 and then a pike comes along and tares this to bits?? The rig looks very cool and I would like to try one! I gude up here in Wisconsin and I don't think I can aford this on guide trips. What do you guys think?
  7. Where did you buy one that had the 3 hooks??
  8. The Bass Pro Spring Classic starts Feb. 24 1 Do you any of you know what Pro's will be at your BPS or who will speak yet????
  9. I don't see what the big deal is with this rig! Look, some top water baits have 3 treble hooks, there is a donkey rig which is two flukes on one line! I fish a double drop shot rig. And there is the crappie rig that has 3 or 4 hooks on one line! In Wisconsin we can have 3 hooks in any combo( 3 rods or 3 hooks one one line. So if you think the A-rig is unfair or unsports like, than all these other set up have been unfair and unsportsman like for a very long time. I am not trying to anyone mad just my 2 cents worth!
  10. For me i have to go with the Netbait C-mac and the T-mac. I fish big worms after the spawn. I fish 10 to 15 in. C-Mac's because have alot more tail than body! And that is what I am looking for in a ribbon tail< MORE ACTION. And I have fished them all and I love the Netbait ribbons!!!!
  11. I did get mine about a week ago! I am getting the bug! Just like every year!
  12. Just to let everyone know, that it starts Feb. 24 to March 12. I will be at the Chicago store doing some seminars! Start thinking SPRING!

Just go out and just fish the jigs and change things up! But most of all leave ALL you other baits at home! Jigs are a big bass bait as well as numbers. And by the way check out Northstar jigs, they are the best jig out there for me! Good luck! Dan

Do they make the A rig with 3 hooks? In Wisconsin you can have any combo of 3 hooks.! Where are you buying them?
  15. Did anyone get there Catalog yet? I would think they should be out soon!
  16. There is only one for me NorthStar jigs, hands down!
  17. Try NorthStar! At Northstarcustombaits.com Great jigs with eyes and rattles!
  18. Yes, NetBait came out with a bunch of new baits for this year. The Dirtdog,Kickin B,Mini Kickin B,Hardytack craw,Kickin chunk,! I did well in the spring on the Kickin B but now the HardyTack Craw is killin them. I am sure the Kickin B and the Dirt dog will have there place this summer.
  19. I have been fishing this since last fall. And they are killing this new craw bait!I have been on deep weed lines and they are taking it over a jig wright now.. Just wondering if any of you were too?
  20. What kind of hook are you guys using? Any drop shot hook? I tryed a shinner hook and it was ok.I picked alot of weeds with it.
  21. I use a 1/8 to a 3/4 oz. But I have 4 rods that I fish the T rig so I never have to change weights.
  22. Dead on with the 3/4 to 1 oz.weight. I fish NorthStar football jigs in them weights. Also a T-rig. The drop shot is a killer too in deep water.Don;t forget BIG worms like a 15in.Netbait C-Mac DEADLY!
  23. Am I the only one that has this net? I just wanted some feed back. Or maybe you guys are trying to spare my feelings that it is a crap net? LOL
