  1. I just want to thank everyone for all there input. It did help alot on what reel I did end up buying ( President ).
  2. What size are you guys fishing?
  3. Anyone fishing this yet? VMC has all ways had good hooks so I can't wait to try this new drop shot rig.
  4. The nice thing about the bobber stops is that you can slide the bobber stop up your line if you change your mind and want the weight move up and down the line. Another cool thing that I do on most of my T-rigs is to put a bobber stop on first then the weight, then the beads and then another bobber stop. What this does for me,is now I can make into a C-rig by just pushing both bobber stops up the line about 12 to 18 in.'s and peg it there. And if you want your T-rig again just push the bobber stops back down onto the head of the bait! The last bobber stop also helps protect the knot.
  5. Give the Netbait Dirt Dog a try as a spinnerbait trailer. It works great! The paddle ends give off some cool action.
  6. I started fishing the Dirt Dog as a trailer late last year and it turned out VERY well. Just slide the main body up backwards on the shank of the jig and let the long little legs bend backwards throught the skirt. It gives the jig a whole new look.It was a killer for me! And the little paddel ends just go crazy. Also make for a great spinnerbait trailer!
  7. Go to Bass Pro and get there rubber bobber stops,I think they are like $ 2.00.
  8. Yep, I did it today! I took the Carbonlite back and I bought the 6730 President!
  9. Check another site.com but TW is not a bad price.
  10. I agree, go check out all the great reviews on the PQ. I did pick up another one last weekend.
  11. I would go 6.3. for general use. Now if you want to fish frogs also then 7.1. Remember it is easy to slow down when reeling, and alot harder on you to speed up,when doing it alot!
  12. Ok, I am back with the President! Thank you for this info! And 1213 is wright about the corny infomerical. I was about to jump in the water with no life vest, thanks for saving me! LOL
  13. Ok what do you know of the wavespin Farmer? I would like your input.
  14. Just as I was ready to pull the pin on the President something happened! A rep for another reel company and I started talking about reels and he told me about this great reel ( not from his reel sponsor ) called the Wavespin. So I checked it out and he sold me. But the bad thing BPS did not have the model I want so I may have to order one!
  15. I have two and I fish them hard. good rods!
  16. I will take the Paca's any day! As for jig trailers try the Paca chunks or the new Kickin B by Netbait. Great trailers for jigs and they are a solid body.
  17. I agree, and the Veritas is very lite, the Vendetta is a tad bit more heavy. I have both rods and and I like them but I would take the Veritas every time! You could fish both rods with jigs/T-rig's but the think the Veritas has more sensitivity. If you want a crankbait rod I would look into a glass rod or glass/graphite rod. I think that these two rods are too stiff of a tip for cranks.
  18. I did have another post on here about a spinning reel for about $ 80.00. But I think I have it down to these 3 reels. I know that the Symetre is a bit more money but what the heck! What do you guys think of these 3 ??? The Abu-Garca Orra feels good and looks like a nice reel. And the Symetre and the President have a long track record. What one would you pick now?
  19. Both are nice rods. But I think the Black carrot Stix is very lite. Of the two I would take the Black!!!!
  20. The extra $20.00 I think would go towards hooks and weights. This is my slush found we are taliking about.LOL I will take her to the movies !
  21. I did mean the Ol-Monster that I have fished alot, so sorry about that. it is a good worm. I will take a look at them. The thing I like so much about the Netbait C-Mac is it has alot of tail and a shorter body.
  22. Great worm, I have fished these for alot of years. I am on board with the colors, but I will add a few that I like.red shad, watermelon red,! Oh by the way if you like this Zoom worm, check out the Netbait C-Mac worm in the Bass Pro Catalog.Another great worm.
  23. I fish this rig alot from spring to fall. I like the Mustad because you can slid the weight up and down the shank of the hook to get it to fall head first or flutter down. I fish there 1/0 to the 5/0 hook. The 1/0 I fish on a Tiny Paca craw, French Fry worm, and then I go up to the 3/0 or 4/0 for bigger worms, lizards, flukes, this is a killer rig for sure!
  24. I agree with you! And i always close my bail by hand but, this reel should not preform like this ! So I did get a lemon, and maybe the next one will be better. I was jusk checking all other reels in case they were out of stock and if I could find a better reel. I have the Carbon lite BC reel and I like that alot.
