  1. Ya, these lakes get pounded bad to the point that you can't fish them on weekends! You have to be on the lake early or late in the day. That is why I have been guideing at night for the last ten years. If you get a chance to get down here and fish. Go to Delavan Lake! I had 13 fish that were 6 lbs or over 6. Good luck on your trip. PS I will be talking on the Cutting Edge radio show in May or June, talking about bass fishing at night!
  2. X 2 = I like mine also.Good tool for the money!
  3. Ok, I am in Milwaukee and i fish lake Delavan and Lake Geneva. I guide on both and Delavan is my baby. I had 13 fish over 6 lbs. last year but I guide at night! There are other good lake in my area also.I will be on the Cutting Edge radio show in May or June talking about night bassin.
  4. I don't see a problem if you put it on another spool. IMHO.
  5. I think the new Sufix comes in a 125 yd spool for like $13.00 and the Seaguar comes in a 200 yd spool for $ 20.00.
  6. If I were you I would buy her a brand new BASS BOAT!
  7. I had been fishing 5 in. grubs. What brand and what bait are you fishing on the A-rig? When the bass get into there summer patterns I was thinking of swim jigs, small spinnerbaits.Anymore?
  8. Good idea and some reels have on the spools little rubber strips built into the spool. But for me to put all braid on my reels would be very $$$$$. I will stick with the backing. SirSnookalot I am not saying you are wrong or attacking you at all so don't take it that way. I am just say for my bass fishing that backing works for me.
  9. I like the 25's in Shimano's andin the Pflueger I like the 30's.
  10. Just would like to know what knot you guys are fishing on the A-rig. I did use the SD jam knot and it worked good on 65 lb. braid. Is there a better knot for this rig?
  11. Use some mono backing first on the spool, and then put your braid on. If you don't do the mono backing the braid will spin on the spool!
  12. I will go with the drop shot for now, but when they get into there summer patterns I would pick a 1/2 oz. to 1 oz. football jig and swim them!
  13. I too like the Northstar, Best made that I have fished. I like the new gill and perch.
  14. I would not use braid with spinnerbaits and cranks,I would use mono for them and fluorocarbon/braid with the T-rig.
  15. I am with bird dog! I don't like them, I like to set my own up.
  16. If I fish a 4 in. to 6 in. worm I use a 2/0 or 3/0, on worms from 7 in. up to 10 in. I fish a 3/0 up to a 5/0, on worms 10 in. up to 15 in. I use a 5/0 up to a 11/0.
  17. It does not come to hook size for Lm or Sm for me. It depends on the size of the worm and how thick of plastic you want to fish.
  18. For me I fish braid in the Hydrilla or any kind of weeds. For open water like, deep weeds lines I like flourcarbon.
  19. I did see a video that shows how to do this! I can't remember where I did see it , just google removing fishing hook. That should work.
  20. KVD hooks another big one!
  21. I agree 100% for the haters=just take your ball and go home ,don't go away mad just go away!

On Delavan there is a place called Lake Lawn Resort it has a golf, and is wright on the lake,it is a nice place to stay with great fishing. But up north is alot less people and some very good fishing and alot more trees on the shore line. There are so many places to stay. Just google upper wis. Dan PS I did send you a PM with more info.
