SICK OF THIS bull
The company I work for is in the process of installing and automated system (small scale). We have had to tighten our belts and many in the office are multi tasking to the point that data entry is lagging. On the lighter note, anytime you push zero the call will be directed to an honest to goodness live person who can actually answer questions. 8-)

Fishing Ban???
Your right, it may end up locked but it is well worth the read. Not for the political aspect but for the possible end result.

New year, New equipment, New bass.
Wayda get out there Simp! My hardwater is going fast this year with all this nice weather. It looks like it may be one of the earliest springs we've had in a long while. Gettin' kinda antsy, but we're almost there.

Get a scale!
Sorry J, I'm with Burley on this one too. ;D As far as the fish, my guess would be that it is the same fish or the weights are close. On second look I don't think they are the same fish but I still think the weights are close.

Help me understand A.D.D
By five or six my nephew was memorizing different drugs and there usages off of the TV. Any time a medical subject would come up he would start listing the corresponding drug and what it would do along with all it's side effects. This is before we understood what was going on with him.

You're Invited to the 5th Annual BassResource.com Roadtrip!!!
To those with the ability to go on the Road Trip, GO! Your going to have so much more than just fishing. Meeting the people you only know of from the board, the evening get togethers, the bull sessions that you pick little things up from that you never would have thought about otherwise. Sittin' around with a beer and shootin' the bull for a couple of hours in the evening was the best part for me last year. Steve Parks (Big O), JJ, Bob lusk, and others were willing to go one on one with anyone who wanted to learn. Don Barone (ESPN writer) even sat and talked with me one on one for and hour or better. I'm sure it was the longest hour of his life, but he did it. Too cool! And the laughs, too many to be told! ;D Come on guys, lets go, off the fence and sign up

Pickwick Road Trip
Tin, next year I think is gonna be huge! This has been a bad year for everyone, but I for one will not be missing two in a row and I would bet that anyone missing this year will try doubly hard for next. If you could make it this year it would be time and money well spent to meet this crew. Brian, thanks for making room for Procrafter. This will help everyone out. 8-)

Help reading my scale.
I don't know if your in school or not, but what about taking it to a chem/sci class or even a local mom and pop grocery with a certified scale and see about comparing weights?

Help reading my scale.
It's a cheap little BPS brand. I'd probably go ahead and take it back but it's an hour away. So taking it back would only pay for the gas. But yeah you can have 2 modes. One will measure in lbs and ounces it says and one is in kgs. Well the tackle bag on your moms scales doesn't add up but if your bass scaled at 1:14 that's close to your guessed weight 1:14kg=2lb8oz. idk, weird.

What does it weigh?
It's 4.25#, what do I win?

Help me understand A.D.D
Advice? If your not a patient man, learn. Not trying to be a sour apple but sometimes it can be a real trial. My nephew has it bad and all bets are off with him. He's also very smart as far as being manipulative but problem solving that involves something that doesn't immediately interest him or if it doesn't benefit him is out of the equation. Fishing when he was very young held water long enough to get a couple of hours in, but as he got older taking him in the boat could last as little as 10 minutes before he had enough. Until he was diagnosed and understood by us what was happening, everyone was always at wits end. As he grew older (18 and up)things got a little better, but even living on his own is a crap shoot. No money management skills what so ever. Insurance due tomorrow?.....Wait, that widget looks cool; I want it now. Then, with the widget never to be used and probably traded for a thingydo, he needs to find insurance money. At 21(?) he is able to hold a job but loses focus easily. Not to worry you, but we worried for Michael for several years wondering how he would be able to make it in the world. As a child they pumped him full of Ritalin and we always kinda thought this made him worse, IDK :-/ One time after my dad died he wanted something to remember grandpa by so mom gave him one of dad's favorite Suicks. We found out he traded it for candy of all things. ;D Maybe not much help grimlin but that's my story.

Help reading my scale.
Nick, what kind of scale is it? Is there a chance that you can have 2 or 3 different modes? Standard/metric type stuff going on?

My apologies Burley

Fishing stock ponds for T.V. shows....
Not really, you still got yourself to apply the 3rd tap rule. I learned it from Fluke via Kelley. 8-)

My apologies Burley
I was thinkin' bad thoughts about you after you ripped on me for having a yah hey dar accent. Now I sit here watching a fishing show and making fun of these yahoos only to find out they are my northern brethren. ;D Your right, I must have marbles in my mouth talk funny.

Fishing stock ponds for T.V. shows....
When I go into a fishing show the more they catch the better. Sometimes it may be a little unrealistic with all the fish catches but that is what I am there to watch. Who is hosting and a lot of what they are saying is secondary to me. I'm not sure how many of you are like me, but a lot of what I learn is from watching and then listening; in that order. The tap, tap, tap rule for example. Most would know what the third tap is , but learning the first and second tap was easier for me to understand by watching for it and the subsequent hook sets on video. Same with flipping and pitching, I don't care who is doing it, watching them go through the motion is what I am looking for during the show. If they offer explanations and advice while they are doing it is always the bonus for me. I used to laugh at stuff like this as a kid while watching Virgil Ward, but now I just absorb what I can. For those who are not familiar with the 3 tap rule, when fishing alone the third tap is a very rare occurrence. ;D
