  1. Can't help alot, but check out Lake-Link, it may give you a heads up: http://www.lake-link.com/fishreports/viewposts.cfm?Thread_ID=4467 Good luck!
  2. Had it not been for the local media, I believe it may have gone thru under the radar, it definately was not on the PR list for the water rights holders. There's debate over the actual numbers and the time frame for recovery, but to me its the principal.
  3. Guys, this road trip thing is the bomb! Glad I made it, this group is great and a pleasure to rub elbows with. Putting names and fsces together has been awesome.
  4. Now I'm tweaked. From Stratford, glad to have you on the forum, you'll like it here.
  5. Sorry to here about the little one cart7t, hope the new addition makes things a bit easier.
  6. Any one see the extended forecast for the area? Make sure to bring the raingear: http://www.weather.com/weather/tenday/42002 I guess AccuWeather doesn't show as much rain: http://www.accuweather.com/us/ky/paducah/42001/forecast-15day.asp?partner=netweather&traveler=0&zipchg=1&metric=0 Couple of hours and I'm outta here, see ya down there!
  7. Sorry man, after seeing the fish, I had to try. ;D
  8. How often are you going to use it, what are you going to use is for, and how well are you going to take care of it would be my first three questions. If your not going to get into a lot of fishing marathons, and are going to use it primarily for bass fishing, and you are going to keep it maintained it should serve you very well. If this is what you want to spend on a baitcaster, the reel will give you your monies worth. Good luck.
  9. Greg, sorry, but I have to ask for dibs on Deb when I get down there!
  10. In the last pic posted, the fish was crapping. I like the color on this one, looks cool.
  11. It was me Last time, If I remember correctly, she was a tad over 11lbs 2 ounces. I'm cool with it, next year I get a free DT out of it. 8-)
  12. Man, that's one bad deal. Looks like you at least made up for it with some other good fishin' though. 8-)
  13. We are part of a 4 or 5 reservoir system that is privately held by the Wisconsin Valley Improvement Co. And they basically can take the water anytime they wish. This water can, at any time, be relocated to another system which may want/need more water for sports events such as kayak racing. They will also take it further down the Wisconsin River the the famous Wisconsin Dells Theme Park. Ya know all the vacationers need that water for the water rides. They do this knowing full well that the unchecked agricultural runoff is eating up the oxygen supplies. What I don't understand is how even though the flowages are privately held, the DNR seems to be helpless in correcting any of this. I buy a fishing license, am conservation minded, into C/R, obey limits, etc. And then this is allowed to happen with no regard for the fish. It all seems pointless to me now. Why even bother when industry and the DNR can't/won't acknowledge the problem until the damage is done. The real kick in the kahunas is that this is an annual fight. It is not as if this was unforseen or unexpected. Sorry Francho, didn't mean to rant, it's just very upsetting.
  14. I'm just happy to see your kickin'
  15. I just spent 2 minutes picturing this in my head. I cold have been packing for Kenlake. Now I've been owned! :-[
  16. BTW, while I was there, I watched the banjo solo. Sweet, nice job!
  17. Here's some pics from the kill off:
  18. I have nothing holding me back up here. I migh split early and trash around down there Friday and am gonna hook up with Kelley on Saturday morning sometime.
  19. Pitchin, have you heard if anyone is going to be there or around the area on Friday already?
  20. Cool video. I have two questions though. What kind of baitcaster is that, and how did you splice the video of your buddy in backwards? BTW, that one bass was pretty nice size.
  21. 6 lbs. isn't too shabby, congrats to your buddy. 8-)
  22. Sounds like overall you guys had a full day. Great job getting that musky in. The 51"er is well worth a bent up spinner. Congratulations on you pb smallie too. A stellar day of fishing. 8-)
  23. Ebay. $130-140 shipped 8-)
  24. Nah, I fish 'em but have never done any tournament fishing. Have you fished Wisconsin much? We definately have the water for musky. I don't know exactly when, but probably in the late fall I will take a long weekend and get over to the Chippewa Flowage and see if I can pull out one of them monsters over there. Other than that, I will hit my local waters around central Wisconsin thru the summer. Mostly I will wait for the late fall musky fishing. This EauPleine thing really has me jerked though. Completely foreseeable, but once again, money outweighs conservation and common sense.
