pflueger patriarch
A few weeks ago I bought the WLP, and almost immediately switched it out for the LP. had a chance to go out with it yesterday, which was fairly windy, and it preformed beautifully with light baits into the wind, cross wind, and any other way I wanted to cast. I was more than impressed with the braking system.

Super, what a great day on the water for them. That trip should give them great fishing stories to tell when they get the time to relax from their daily duties. They are some nice fish you put them on! 8-)

4th Annual BassResource.com Roadtrip!!!
This road trip is my first, and I was confident that my tackle bags were more than enough for me. Wow, was I wrong. Everytime I read an update or go to the tackle board, it's back to the store. Today it's for a bigger bag. I want to do some panfishing down there. Up here it's small pinky type jigs or 1" soft baits (tubbies, twister tails) under a bobber, retreived slowly. Can anyone tell me what I would do better with down there? Thanks.

Pike Lakes in IL and Southern Wisconsin
Check out Geneva and Delavan, haven't been on them, but they get all the raves. Also look at Powers, was on Powers a few years ago and had a blast. It's not a real big lake, maybe 350-500 acres. Had a great day there with the bass also. If I remember, it's just east of Geneva a little ways.

First Bass of the new year!
Nope wasn't pegged. Probably would've had more results if it was tho! :-[ You got on the water, that's the main thing. I'm sure there will be many more to come. Good luck

First Bass of the new year!
Cool! Was that weight pegged? I got about 1-2 days yet before I have open water.

avids and mojos?
I have not compared the casting and spinning models, but I would venture to guess that the reel seat is located a bit differently between the two. I would also think that the difference between a 6'6" and a 7' would make something of a difference in balance. On the 7' mhf casting rod it is noticable, but it didn't stop me from buying one.

One heckuva shot
I don't know if they are goaded into charging or not, But here is a vid that was running hot and heavy a couple of years ago, and this lion basically does the same thing. I agree with the others, it is awesome footage, but is it hunting? :-/

avids and mojos?
No respect ;D

avids and mojos?
Francho, it's funny you should bring up the Gandar Mountain rods. I have a Pro-select split grip, and for split grips, it's the most well balanced rod I have.
-
avids and mojos?
I think the deception of being heavier, is that the split grip design makes it more forward heavy.

a few foreign reels and one for u.s.
Pulled on out of the mail on Monday. Definitely a reel to look at. I am a Revo fan, but they are on shaky ground now.

avids and mojos?
I agree, but also think they are a bit nose heavy. There's been an abundant reminder that they are built on the Premier blank, the point is that they are designed and look different. That's what intrigued me. They are more than functional and they look "sporty".
