When I was a kid in the real early seventies, we bought a cabin with all the accoutrements. Grabbed the first fishing rig I saw, which was an old Shakespeare baitcaster with a 5'6" steel rod and never looked back.

Is that crack in bottom pic where the leak is up front? Once fixed, how will it do wave hopping? I am by no means an expert in fiberglass repair, but would it need a fare amount of backing when it is patched.

I used Tracfone for about 3 years, but didn't give out my number to many people in an effort to keep my minutes down. Worked well for a while but I recently switched to an Alltel contract. By the end of 3 years I was constantly loading minutes, and by then the contract phone ended up making more sense. Got rid of land line, and went with a 500 minute nationwide account for $46/mon. Dealer prep and option included (taxes and surcharges).

How many years did it take before the word "ain't" appeared in the dictionaries. It is now accepted. Irregardless does appear in some dictionaries, but is not recommended as common verbiage. I would say that in time to come the word irregardless will come to be accepted just as every other word does when it is invented. I don't remember what the number is, but I do know that there are many new words that get accepted into common use every year. Some are real humdingers (originated in late 1800's). BTW, I hate the word irregardless also.

I'm with RW, except I like the 8#. You got 2 spools, get both the 6 and the 8 work 'em and see what you like better. Either one, your gonna like the Ultra soft.

Round reels are all I ever fished until about three years ago. Bought my first lp and never looked back. Sold all my round reels except a pet 2500c and my pa's '73 6500 BigA. Now it's all lopro. The less top heavy the better.

I picked one up here on the flea market late last fall and didn't get a chance to fish it much. It's a 7' and it feels to me like it's probably a mhf. The only real identifying mark on the blank is sb822.5 Is there a way of telling what blank is actually used? Other than the Gblanks logo and the lure/line weight there is no other markings.

I just looked around myself a little. Looks like your gonna have to poke around to find stuff. Most of the stuff I found other than ball caps seemed to be from european addresses. Anything I have ever seen was on store shelves and so forth. It don't look like any one retailer carries a full range of Garcia stuff. Welcome to BR.

If your gonna stick with Abu Garcia, for between 80-100 dollars shipped I would go with a Revo S model. FWIW, I was thinking about getting a Pro Max just for the heck of it but have several S models. In the end I decided for that extra couple of dollars to stay with what I trusted.

Was he on the end of you stringer or did you just find him wandering around the ramp?
