  1. an etching primer will do the trick, just be sure the surface is clean and free of debris, Krylon rattle cans work well, do it all in several light thin coats and dont rush the job, it'll look better and last longer. I dont recommend bed liners for below water lines but a trailer may not be that bad, its an in and out thing...so it too may last. no experiance with it though.
  2. good luck with your build, lotsa fun and possibilities are endless, and there alot off good posts here about redo's, not to take anything away from BR but theres a site called www.tinboats.net worth a look too.
  3. Yankees n Red Sox.....go Yanks!!!!
  4. well there you have it....apparently those whom used the bed liner swear by it...good luck with it. And as far as drag goes...every little bit helps, but no need to tell you that, paddle away son ;D
  5. Times sure have changed: At the age of 9, 1973. I threw a snowball at a (new) neighbours picture window, he came out yelling, my response was "aaa shut up" and ran. Well he proceeded to chase me down and bury me face in the snow. So when my dad came home I told him. We jumped in the car and drove to the new neighbors house. Just so have it dad knew the new guy on the block, they shook hands a hugged liked old best friends, my heart went into my throat and felt sick and scared to my stomach..on the short drive back up the street dad didn't say a word. But when I got home....yup you know it. I got another beating. Try that nowadays, touch some one else's kid, or even threaten them and you'll end up in jail. Times have changed
  6. Major League "Someones Closer"
  7. I've been beating the boat scene for several months, and if you're comming up with 4K you can get yourself a REAL nice tin boat, and like others have mentioned newer then a glass boat. Im not a tourny fishermen so 14ft wide jon boat loaded will do the trick just fine for me. But theres always that G3, BassTracker, Lund or Lowe that pops up....keep looking you'll find it.
  8. I cant comment on how or why it broke but I fish 20 on my spinning gear with no trouble...the only time I seem to have any trouble with PP is if I fish an afternoon in the rocks, then I cut some back and retie.
  9. DO NOT put bedliner on the bottom of your boat, it will peel rather quickly, and it creates a great deal of drag. And if your rowing and or using a TM you want it as smooth as you can get it. SteelFlex is the way to go.
  10. I think we have a winner....K_Mac seemed to find the quote no one else can...hhmm
  11. sell the rod and buy a split grip. JMO. I thought about that, but it's a Loomis BCR803, I just bought a Kistler Helium LTA He69MH and love the split grip...I love that Loomis rod too but like the split better...
  12. what if you wanted to turn it into a split grip? what grit shud be used?

  14. come on, Dave, seriously. : i never did much like Queen...... I'm not either. Ehh, I guess you are young enough to be let off the hook. I lmao when I read this one Dan, Im figuring you were about 3 or 4 when Freddy died, now dont get me wrong, Im not saying you dont know who he is....but to remember him is something different.
  15. u grew up in foster, everybody had shotguns in high school back then
  16. I'll second that...but Freddy was talented for sure
  17. special scissors to cut braid? I think not, a pair of fiskars kids scissors at wal-mart will do the trick. maybe I'll jus go with a leader....nice fish J Francho
  18. I'll say this, I clicked the link before reading any posts. The first line hit me with a Queen flashback. Say what they, but Freddy was an incredible performer. I'll look into more of this band.
  19. I do own the Tierra 2500, and for the money it has to be one of the top reels in that range. ($110 shipped on eBay) I choose the Fuego over the SOL, so I cant comment on that. I've fished a Stradic early on in the season and wasnt impressed, but thats me. I wont dogged the Stradic its a fine reel, it just wasnt my style. I sold off all my She's this year and went to Daiwa spinning and Revo STX's for bc's. And havnt looked back.
  20. This is the answer your looking for here. The PGA has done it for years, your not going to Dicks Sporting Goods or the Golfers Warehouse and pic up the same set of irons that Tiger swings every week. They may say Nike on them, but they arnt his.
  21. Very nice RI Bass Shawn, well done
  22. Broken Arrow "It puts the lotion on its skin, or it gets the hose." Hahaha, Joe dirt.
