The Beginings of a Jon Boat Conversion
shadeofgrey1031 theres alot of great advice here suggesting what you can and cant do to a 10ftr and I know this all first hand. A 10ftr is a nice craft to get you into fish, but has its limits. Seriously check the plate and boats capacity like stated, that motor and battery is going to add close to 100lbs right there, toss in you and a buddy at 150 to 175 and your in the 400 range. If I was going to do it over, I wouldnt do it to a 10ftr. jus my .02cents.

Daiwa Zillion 100PA for jigs?
all makes since to me now, thinking you do want to fire it right back into that hole if you miss a strike, was just thinking a slow crawl on the floor would make sense too, but your views make more. I have a Curado 200DHSV I use on my G Loomis rod as a multi-purpose set-up, topwater, spinnerbaits, rigged worming some smaller swimbaits. Im going to have a rod made for soley jigs and want to try a different reel this time. Revo's are on the list.

Daiwa Zillion 100PA for jigs?
I'm looking at the Zillion 100PA and noticed it was recommended for crankbait applications. I'm planning on using it exclusively for jig because I like the slow retrieve. Anyone have any experience with the 100PA? Thanks

The Beginings of a Jon Boat Conversion
A 10ftr can do alot of things but, but dont go over board with her. I know first hand of the conversion. I did a 10 last year and it's a great lil boat, but its just that "a little boat". It's perfect for what I use her for but she's heavy to load in and out of truck, and the 55lb motor lost some oomph with the added weight. Take a look in here theres alot tips http://www.tinboats.net/forum/viewforum.php?f=13&start=75 and heres mine. http://www.bassresource.com/bass_fishing_forums/YaBB.pl?num=1222436470/2#2

G-loomis
I have the BCR803 in XF, it's not Loomis higher end IMX or GLX, it's the MossyBack rod, but never the less I do like the rod alot for what I do with it, plastics, lighter jigs, and also topwater. I really like the XF tips. For me the XF requires a quick snapping hookset and its on.

My 1st smallies
I was finially able to land several nice smallies with the help of a very good fishermen and friend. The bite that night was insane and we doubled up a few times to land some keepers, nice smallies for RI waters. Had a blast. Thanks buddy!

Looking to Get Some new stuff.
I'd suggest spinning gear also, and agree with RW, a medium rod with extra fast tip will offer plenty to cover all bases on what your goals are. I myself like the xf tips, you'll feel every subtle lil tap. With names like Powell, GLoomis, St Croix, Shimano and my personal favorite a custom rod from GBlanks, all offer excellent choices for $200 and under. Spinning reels can be a dime a dozen so choose wisely, a $100 to $125 reel will provide you with years of service when properly taken care of. Simano, Abu Garcia and my choice Daiwa all offer great reels. To pair it up with a 6 or 6.6 rod a 2500 series reel would be perfect, look at the Daiwa Tierra 2500, you can score them on ebay for under $110 shipped, if you can ante up a few more bux, the Daiwa Fuego can be had for like $150, the all red body. All in all if you look around you'll find grrrreat deals in the flea market here and 99% of these guys are trustworthy, I've bought and sold with great success. Good Luck

Do Bass Care About the Visibility of Braid?
as a weekend warrior and not a tourney fishermen I use braid on every set-up I have, 15/20 on spin, 50 on bc. I've had the opportunity to fish all types of RI waters to crystal clear lakes and reservoirs, to the murkiest, nastiest stuff you seen, and my success rates are very very similar...just MO.

Powell Max or G-Blanks
Theres no actual truth to that statement, I'm not picking on you Senko77 but theres just waaaaay to many good rods under $200. Have you had the chance to fish a Rainshadow blank? The RX8 is under $200 and I'll put it up against any rod in that price range.

Powell Max or G-Blanks
Hey Dan, a buddy just talked to Larry and said maybe 2 weeks. If he has the blank onhand he gets them done in less then 3.
-
Powell Max or G-Blanks
for whats it worth I've had the chance to fish with the Cumara, I liked the rod. I found the GBlanks to be more sensitive and yes lighter. I have a friend I fish with who owns some real nice high-end rods, and when on Im his boat, I better not lay that GBlanks rod down, cause he's picking it up.

Bass Tracker fuse panel help. Pease!
Im sitting on a 97 Tracker and in need of some photo help or info, some of the wires have pulled off the connecters on the panel and before I go shorting things out, I'd like some help knowing where they go back. A pic of the panel would rock. Thankx Guys. Or if someone has a manual they can photo.
