  1. Anyone? Anyone? bring it Mass ;D
  2. Yeah, I'm not buying it.
  3. once you hold that GBlanks and knowing it was made for you and not to sit on some rack for everyone to finger print you'll be happy you did.
  4. like I said I cant speak for the Powell, but dollar for dollar you'll have a hard time beating out a GBlanks rod. Or a quality rod built on a quality blank from any builder. I use to be avid in the surf and all my surfcasters were custom, theres just somthing about a custom rod being built for you to your specifications, other then some rod built in a factory by a 12yr ol kid. Huh, go figure, I'll take the guy who's been building rods long before half the people that work in these places have been born...Go GBlanks you wont regret it.
  5. False The Rainshadow & Forecast blanks used by GBlanks carry a lifetime warranty, so your blank is covered. I'll bet no custom builder will offer a lifetime warranty on thier custom rods as well. Call Larry and talk to him. Make your own decission. Phone: 918-341-4523
  6. how long do they take? i only have 8 days. they will take a little longer then 8 days, but you can have them shipped to a buddy's house, GBlanks are getting alot of recognition around here lately and its for a good reason, the quality of the build is amazing and the support and service provided by Larry is second to none, alot more then you'll get from the big chains. Take a look, its worth your time. Another vote for GBlanks.
  7. Jr., Maddux, Jeter, Puhols.... I seriously doubt Jeter, although Im a Yankee fan (not A-Rod) and have been as long as I remember, I hate the fact of PED's in any sport, take the Giam's,A-Rods,Petites and the rest of the friggen cheaters and ban them from the game. These guys are the best of the best, the elite and idolized by young american boys with a dream of becoming a baseball player, all they're doing is teaching them how to cheat.
  8. like I said, I've never fished a Powell, but I cant tell you how many times I almost pulled the trigger on one over at ***. But I certinally wouldnt flip a coin on a fishing rod. Call Larry, talk to him, give him your budget, tell him you heard about GBlanks here on BR. http://www.imaginationbassin.com/gblankscontact.htm
  9. pgersumky is correct, you WILL NOT be dissappointed with a GBlanks rod, I own 2 and will buy more, although I can not comment on the Powells I've read good things. But like mentioned the GBlanks is fully custom and can be made to order. Well worth thier price.
  10. Hey Uncle Leo, I cant rember to well but I think I bought one of your Curado 200D's las summer....and often thought of upgrading to the E7, but everywhere I turn makes me point back to the D I currently throw, is there that much of a difference? thnks. Yes you did it was the 5.1-1 have you a good deal as I recall. The E is much lighter and sets lower in the seat that 200D does not compare when casting Light baits. Thanks, I thought I grabbed one from you, yeah it was great deal now that I think of it I dont throw light bait with that set-up and no issues with its size, so I guess I'll just stick with her. Thanks Uncle Leo

  12. Prayers Matt, hope all goes well for your pop. I agree Tin, crazee lil town we live in sometimes....Rt3 is'a friggn mess
  13. she's definitly crazee, lol. and starting to look a lil ragged these days. But never the less hot.
  14. well, I've a 5ft custom lamiglass spinning rod that I use for dock skipping, throwing under brush, and just punching threw holes where need be. Now, I cant and I quote "pop a gnat's *** at 40 paces" but I'll sure n heck "pop" a turtle off his perch on a bet. My new 6.6 & 6.8 GBlanks customs I may not be as accurate with them but I know Im alot better with practice and time spent with them in my hand, and will be as accurate and proficient as my 5ftr. So Im guessing the shorter lenght may be a myth.
  15. I like that The 8's are alot lighter and the +'s a little lighter then that. But not enough to really feel it. Either way you'll love it.
  16. I agree, Im surprised her name was even left up here....I posted Penny Bakers name as my childhood sweetheart, and presto...she dissapeared from the site :'(
  17. Congrats. Agreed, those are incredible, I got a chill just looking at them, then walked over to the fridge and looked at the ones taken of my daughter 8yrs ago. Good Luck and Best Wishes.
  18. fishntime, post up a pic or 2 and fill us in on what you had made, lenght, action, spin/bc? Love to hear it, and glad you liked it, I had a feeling you would.
  19. it amazes me that all the talk of backward masking and no one has mentioned the great Led Zepplin, it was beleived that Jimmy Page was a master of the art, Page owned and lived in Aleister Crowley's home, the most infamous satanist. Page a devoted follower turned the Zepplin empire into a backwards masking nightmare, and Stairway To Heaven was born. Along with several others.
  20. lol, I certinally wish I did, I know I push thier rods alot, no more then guys pushing Loomis, Kistler, Shimano, you get the picture, but I DO NOT gain any royalties from it. I own Loomis n STC's as well and fished with some other higher end rods, but I do like the Rainshadow blanks alot, and GBlanks puts togather a nice rod.
  21. You can always have one or two custom made exactly the way you like it, GBlanks Customs will be more then happy to help you out, theres several guys in here that own them and love them. http://www.imaginationbassin.com/gblankscontact.htm
  22. wow, I was 9 when it came out, "I know it by wrote" older brother so I grew up listening to it all. but I dont remeber ever hearing about this. maybe it just slipped my brain, whats left of it, dam 70s n 80s.
  23. I'll bet your 5:00 started hours ago
  24. I use my GLoomis MossyBack BCR803 and Curado 200DHSV, 50lb PowerPro braid, the extra fast provides a no feel hit for bass and the stopping power of the MH & braid combined is enough to turn them.
  25. lucky for him he asked about Daiwa's, like fore mentioned I own and still fish with both the Shimano & Pflueger, but I'll take my Daiwa's in spinning over both of those. jus my 2cents
