G Blanks RX8+ purchase
matthewj52001, thanx for the reply, I think thats what Larry said the RX8+ was thier top of the line blank, I fish with Loomis rods but I wanted a custom look and this was the only way to get it. Although I did seek out several builders using a Loomis blank, and the price was over $300, that was the IMX blank, heck I can get GLX spinning rod for around $200 used if I wait it out, I just wanted to go for a certin look. I bought the reel already on the flea and just waiting for the rod. I told Larry no hurry tho, Im in the same boat as you. ICE!

thanks DD, from what I've read these are supose to be some real nice rods, I think yours was the black on black in which inspired me to have 1 built. I was kinda hoping that someone in here was familiar with them.

Daiwa Tierra 2500/3000
ok Daiwa guys, I've received some great advice on the Tierra from a fellow BR member, I'm looking to hook it up to a 6'6" MXF rod, throwing weightless plastices(Senkos) with PowerPro Braid 15lb, should I go 2500 or 3000. I love my Pflueger Supreme, but Im not brand loyal, I'll try anything.

Got my new GBlank rod
theres truth to that statement, I was a lil fired up when I saw it, like I mentioned earlier I may very well give one a try. I'll look into some of the other blanks as well to see whats offered. Black on black is a must, that is very nice looking, and from what I've read these are nice rods.

Got my new GBlank rod
I agree with you there, a couple snapshots at best isnt enough. I've been emailing him so I think Im going to give 1 a try. He said he'd get back to me after the show with different rod blank options.

Barlows Tackle Bulk Plastics
I would tend to agree as well, working for Stanley Bostitch for several years, you'd be surprised at the products WE make and rebadge right in our factory. The pnuematic tackers, nailers, and industrial staplers were all made there before shipping it all to China of course. So I'm willing to bet plastics arent much different. I was looking through the catolog last night and need some new stuff.

Got my new GBlank rod
I think Larry picked up a couple sales off this post, he's at a show in Texas now and will be back on Mon, how do I know you ask? I just emailed the day this post came about and Im looking into a spinning set-up. Dressed in black of course. Nice looking rod, and for the $$$ I think it's worth a go.

what size trolling motor?
I highly recommended a 55lb, I have a 10ft JB and with 2 guys n gear it rolls over the top all day with out breaking a sweat, and we've come back into a head wind and it pushed us threw it just as easy. It would be in your best interest to save a little extra and get the big dog. for your viewing pleasure take a look here, this is where I got mine, shipping was super fast and the price was the cheapest when I was looking. http://cgi.ebay.com/NEW-Minn-Kota-Endura-55-Freshwater-Transom-Trolling_W0QQitemZ380094950644QQcmdZViewItemQQptZLH_DefaultDomain_0?hash=item380094950644&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14&_trkparms=72%3A1209%7C66%3A2%7C65%3A12%7C39%3A1%7C240%3A1318%7C301%3A1%7C293%3A1%7C294%3A50

Curado 200DHSV or E7
What's the question? These thoughts are symptomatic of a serious case of cabin fever. Buy a new rod or some lures, that will temporarily relieve what ails you. ;D ;D ;D lol....you're probably right RW, and I did just buy a Cardiff 300 & Okuma Swim Bait rod...and I need a new spinning rod & reel as well darn u bait monkey
