  1. I was up in the bwca in lake june and we caught some very nice smallmouth don't remember fishing that lake though. Senkos, and fat ikas are what I caught most on but I also used them the most. Soft plastics were tops worms, flukes, tubes, and grubs. Deep diving cranks, suspending jerks baits, floating rapalas, top waters, spinner baits and buzzbaits also caught alot of fish. Good luck and have fun.

  3. Both them grubs work good fished with a jig head and either worked straight in or bounced off structure. Could be used as a jig trailer or even texas rigged if weeds are a problem.
  4. Get some bullfrog spray it won't touch your hands and its not greasy. They also make a gel thats pretty nice.
  5. Black is the one I've used most and done good with. Any darker color would get the job done though.
  6. You could do fine with what you have but I'd add some fat ikas to the list.
  7. *** has them on there site now. Anyone have one in there hands yet.
  8. Went fishing/boating here in today. Nice breeze and 85 degrees and partly cloudy it was nice water temp of 79. Caught some nice bass, and did some swimming.
  9. Johnny Paycheck is one name I didn't see mentioned here but he's got some good songs.
  10. Its awful tempting to buy it now on that 7 foot mh.
  11. When rigged weedless and weightless which is the only way I've fished them they are more fragile then senkos or fat ikas. I can usually get 2-3 fish on a senko and more on a fat ika with flappin hogs they seem to be done one 1 maybe 2 fish. One other thing I don't like about them is the don't cast as far with all the wind catchers they have hanging off them. I still like using them cause they are just something different.
  12. I just use the flapping hog 2 rigged weightless and weedless on a ewg 3/0 hook and fish it slow like I would an ika or senko don't know if thats right but its worked. I bought them cause they looked crazy but they catch fish. I like taking them down to the crowded ponds here in town and see how many weird looks I can get.
  13. Cheap autos are like cheap baitcasters. They suck. Go with an 870.
  14. It all depends. If I know that I should be getting fish but I'm not I'm going to look for a reason why still might not change my lure though if I'm using something I have alot of confidence in like a senko, trick worm, or fat ika.
  15. Killing him wouldn't have been a bad thing.
  16. I've bought minnows and had them live for weeks just changing the water daily with cold water and not keeping them in to warm of place. So if done correctly they can be stored but getting them now for winter isn't going to work.
  17. Depending on your mind set it could certainly be worth the money. If ever one is throwing $10 lures at the water you fish and you start throwing $80 baits that are much better you are going to catch more and bigger fish than you did before throwing the cheaper baits if all else is equal. One big fish would be worth it to alot of guys. That said good lures aren't going to turn a bad fisherman into a good one.
  18. His bluegill baits are slightly heavier than I'm looking for. I have 2 of his baby bass and they are about my limit with my heaviest rod.
  19. Any company (besides storm) make a real nice realistic bluegill swimbait that weighs under an ounce or maybe slightly more. Its about as heavy as my current setup can handle. Soft or hard don't matter just as long as it looks good in the water and is light enough for me to throw.
  20. Depends on the swim baits. I can throw mattlures baby bass on a 7.5 foot medium heavy rod but I wouldn't want to go any heavier. I'm waiting on some hudd shad too they are only supposed to be .5 ounce and should easily be doable with your setup. Just buy baits your stuff can handle till you decide you want a new setup thats what I'm doing it hard to find good ones though under or around an ounce. If your going to use braid I'd go heavier though. If you are throwing heavy baits and you get a tangle theres no stretch so your line could break easier than a mono of equal breaking strength sending your expensive bait into the water never to be seen again.
  21. haven't fished there alot and not at all this year but I'd be putting weightless plastics like senkos around docks and weed edges.
  22. Dosen't know how to spell Copenhagen.
  23. to young to grow a beard or even drive for that matter.
  24. Still thinks superman is cool. ;D
