I purchased Plano Line Box Red Eye Shad 3 Bags of Zoom Ol' Monster 2 Rolls of Sufix Line Waiting until the 3/14 to get a Quantum Accurist PT for $ 49.95. It will be become my new frog rod setup reel. Got my son some more BPS type baby clothes. Can't start them too early ya know.

I caught several of bass using an 5/0 EWG on these bad boys last summer. Usually at almost dusk they would bite and hit these guys.

I fished the same bait quite often last summer. Usually if bass are short striking the toads, then you should switch the color. That should help. I made the mistake of hooking these guys up on a 3/0 EWG and should have been a 5/0 EWG. It made a big difference in how many I caught and how many I lost. The bait is tough though, I did have the same happen to me quite often. Hopefully by switching to a Heavy Fast pole it's help as well. Good luck, I prefered the all white color as well.

Greetings, I've wondered over from the other side of the house and have began an interest in Smallmouths. I was wondering a couple of things. 1.) Will my current setup mostly work? Pflueger President 6735, w/7'MF St. Croix Mojo Bass Spinning 2.) I live in Maryland, southern that is, but originally from West Virginia near the New River, I was wondering if there were any close places to catch smallies or should i just plan on driving home and catching them on the New? I prefer a braid for jigs. It is sensitve but more important is using the right sized rod. 7' Heavy will make a big difference. I say go big and go braid.

x2 Ghost minnow with red hook and red blade can't be beat. I've personally seen it outfish many a buzzbait.

The only problem I'm having right now is finding them in stock. I can't seem to find them anywhere, without paying for shipping of course. TW has them but their on bo till the 4/30. I would like to catch some fish before then. Anyone know of anywhere else to check?

Well I have the burner model of the Quantum engergy pt 7:0:1 I think that's the great ratio. I also have a Abu Revo S as well, but I have no idea what this reel is good for. I actually don't care for it that much. I have no idea what line to use on it for all types of bass fishing as well as what the reel is good for. Plan on buying a quantum acurrist pt new model this weekend.

I have selected the Mojo as my first quality rod to go with some of my new quality reels. Baitcasting is my preferred method. My question is, I have always paired my reels with cheap rods and I am looking to get away from that, the thing I'm struggling with is I really don't know the difference between Fast and MF tips. And I've never owned a Medium action pole only MHeavy. I fish mostly plastic worms, tubes, jigs, buzzbaits, spinnerbaits, and IKAs, and small rat l' traps and frogs. I want a good all around rod for these applications. What model of the mojo do you recommend? Thanks,

OK so here it goes, I was fishing my usually pond. And it was almost dark. Fishing a Rage Tail Shad in Smokey Shad. I hate a bite earlier but missed it. So my next bite I hear and see the bass come up and take the bait. I lower the rod tip, wait feel weight and set the hook, next the bass starts swimming at 45 degree angel from me towards the bank, I was like sweet he's on and coming in , then we he reaches the bank he takes off and my reel and rod start bending like crazy, 2 seconds later he jumps in the air and my bait comes out. Questions, My drag was set on full. I relined it earlier and never backed it down. Could this be a reason I lost the fish. Second the fish never felt "hooked" is it possible he had a piece in his mouth and not the hook? and when he went up he spit it out? Or, since I've only caught small ones, 2lb and under, perhaps this was a larger bass, I haven't caught many of those, 1 actually above 3 lbs. And I didn't know how to react? I'm shocked and dissapointed, any help is good.

What colors were working for you. I oringally went with the Watermelon/Red and had good success, but I tell you I switched to GREEN PUMPKIN PEARL LAMINATE WOW , a hundred percent better. Also try the Rage Tail Shad in Smokey Shad, Great baits all around. I haven't used the Craw or Chunk.

I know that my Tour Edition did the same and I changed lines and it stopeed. I was using 12lb P-Line Fluro, now I use 12lb Yo-Zuri Hybird Smoke/Purple and it seemed to stop. Could be lubrication as well.

I fished in my local pond that nobody fishes and I got a nice one, I usually catch three or four this big but no big ones yet, cavitron buzzbaits in white/ghost minnow and rage tail shad, produce best, anyways,, The rage tail shad in the smokey shad color was on point a nice 2lb bass nailed it and you can see it sticking out of the bass's mouth, also a closeup of the Yo-Zuri 12lb Smoke Purple, I like it, I was used to P-Line Flurocarbon, and this line casts farther and has much more strength, What is a good easy "walk the dog" topwater, I can't do it very well, maybe a spook, what is the easiest of easy ones?? This is my first higher class of a baitcaster and I"m coming up from a Revo S and my question is, I'm used to the knob on the right side of spool that controls backlashing and such. The tighter the knob the shortest the casting distance and vice versa, so Now there is a new knob on the side with the Infinite Casting System, with another knob control on the left side. What's the difference and how do u control it? Should I just turn it off and use the knob on the right side. Thanks for any help !!! :

Yeah these are great, I've caught quite a few bass on buzzbaits but have been reaching for this instead, it doesn't get tangled and is virutally weedless, I would definately go with a EWG 5/0 hook, I was fishing this with 3/0 and missing a lot of fish, go by the directions and hooke these bad boys onto a 5/0. I like the smokey shad, and for the toads I like the Watermelon.Red.

The colors I received where Green Pumpkin, Watermelon Candy, x2 of Watermelon Gold, and Black and Blue Hopefully these will work.

I recently purchased a few of these I was thinking of using them as Jig Trailers. My question is I am fishing a clear water pond with tons of grass cllumps throughout. Where is the ideal to pitch these jigs and expect a bite? Thanks, I've had success in the pond off of buzzbaits, chatterfrogs, worms, and spinnerbaits, but not a lot of jigs bites. I'm looking for some size.

I was wondering for all you guys out there who have one of these what types of lines do you all prefer on it. I had Yo Zuri Hybrid on it, and I like it, but I switched today to P-Line Flurocarbon and wow how smooth the P-Line was. Wow, but it seems fragile compared to the Yo Zuri. What do you guys prefer and have tested. Thanks !!!

No it's nothing like a buzzbait. It doesn't even break the surface. You reel it pretty much just like a Rat'L Trap but let it sink and move around like a jig. It vibrates a lot and when I quit reeling and let it sink is when the bite happened for me. I think there is misconception out there that this baits are like buzzbaits they are totally different.
