Weirdest Thing You've Reeled In
Not entirely weird things but interesting things. I had lost a few crank baits in the same spot over a period of a few months. I was using 12lb Sufix Deep Crank line and just breaking off for really no reason, switched to 10 lb CXX and pulled a tree branch with my cranks still on hung on some braid that was around the limbs. pulled the rest of the braid out of the water and pulled up an underspin reel. changed the hooks and spilt rings and still fish the cranks today I've also caught what I call the redneck dropshot which was a gold aberdean hook with a crappie tube that had a nut tied below it

Which reel for dropshotting..
I have a Trio 20, standard, not the orange high speed. Its a pretty small reel, I'd say get the 30 if you are dead set on the high speed. I would only fill the spool about 3/4 of the way full anyways.

Which rod maker is it that you can buy
I believe if you travel up to Park Falls, WI and you go in there in store shop there are some prettty cheap rods. Yep, St. Croix. Park falls, WI. In-store only. I don't know of any rod company that makes an effort to sell their "cosmetic defective" rods online. I would imagine that creating an online catalog of single rods with different defects would be more trouble than it's worth. Each listing would have to describe the specific flaws, alot harder than putting it on a shelf and letting the customer sort through.

6" zipper worms
I just bought some 5" zipper worms. I plan on pretty well using them on a texas rig or shakey head

Quantum Flipping stick?

Sending a rod back???
I tried to ship a 7'6" rod tube via USPS and the charge was $85. Took it home and cut off 2" and mailed it for $21.

Bluegill swimbait
I would say stay away from the reaction strike baits...everyone I have is junk, they swimm on their side and the paint sucks. The Giron seems like a nice bait but have never fished it.

Reel foot paint fading
Electrical tape would work. Thats something i noticed on a few different rods when I first started but I was over tightening I think

Browning rods and reels
I've fished th older silver citori bc reels, they were good reels

universal line??
You can use any line for any technique...if your satisfied with one line, why consider another line. It's kinda like fishing a vendetta, liking it, and switching all your rods to them. Then the next year, the veritas comes out, you try one, like it, now all your vendettas are on sale in the flea market so you can buy all new veritas. It seems alot of people have this complex of keeping everything the same. I personally have a wide assortment of reels, rods, and line that are all used for specific purposes. Sorry bought the little rant...you know what they say about opinions.... :

My new sissy stick is on the way
I have really considered the 7'2"L River Runner as a Crappie, Bream, and small bait rod, just haven't pulled the trigger yet.

Going against the grain??
How do you think Skeet won Gunterville....his spots died...Davy was catching them on a mop jig....2+2=$100,000 ;D . But sometimes it helps to go against the grain, i.e. Skeet again at SML with a swimbait. I guess you have to know when to hold and when to fold em. I uswually try to fish a bit different when fish with buddis in the same boat but you can bet that someone else starts catching them and I'm not, I'm gonna make a little switch.

Is there a bigger product sleeper than Roland Martin???
Let me drop my powerpole here into Lake Okeechobee, just down the lake form Roland Martin Marina, cause I can see a good spot out there with my Ono's Polarized Sunglasses. See there...looks like a good 4-5lber...oh son....oh son....that's a good fish. that's a 6..7..8lber on the Gary Yamamoto senko. I just took a turbopower energy shot and it gave me the strength to pull in that 9lber with my 50lb Diamond Braid on my Johnny Morris Gold Series reel. You see how that 10lber was pulling, it's important to have a stout rod like this 6'6''MH Roland Martin Signature rod. Oh son, what a deal. ;D ;D ;D I'll tell you one thing right now...if I believed in a product and they helped pay the bills....I'd pimp 'em all day long

Tin's favorite Joke.
Definitely a WV sentence.

Loomis CBR Experience
I had an 843 and didn't like it a bit...felt very underpowered and whippy...handled baits fine but had a hard time casting most cranks. I just couldn't get any distance. I would suggest a more powerful rod than a 3

soft stick baits
I like the SK Zero, Shimmy Stick, ***, and YUM Dinger

NEW GEARS
pm cart7t I remember him venturing into swapping revo and patriarch gears when the patriarchs first came out. I think he still is on here....there was someone else trying it as well but I don't remember who.

Ever have a lure that just "quit working"??
sounds like you were using flourocarbon....I bought a mattlures jitterfish that I could not get any action out of the first time I used it, it just pushed water to one side. Didn't think about it at first but quickly realized the line was the culprit when I fished it again on different line (80lb braid for muskie)

Favorite Prop bait
heddon torpedo and wounded zara

what is your favorite copolymer
I really like P-Line, I fish mostly CXX and some Floroclear.

Kistler Helium
I had two Magnesiums, 7'MH and H, and replaced them with Dobyns Savvy rods of the same. They were good rods but the Savvys are better. I just got a 7'H Helium II on sale and it honestly feels exactly like the Mag, just slightly lighter. They have the same slight tip heaviness, doesn't feel like a $290 rod, especially when compared to the Dobyns Champion, which is $50 in the same specs. For a discount, they're great, my Helium II was $150 and I got my Mags for around the $100 mark.

What 5?
I have never tournament fished but take 5 setups regularly when fishing. 7'M-F Spinning - dropshot & shakey head 7'M-XF Casting - tubes, jerkbaits, weightless, small t-rigs, topwater 7'MH-F Casting - spinnerbaits, t-rigs, jigs, weightless plastics, topwater 7'H-F Casting - t-rigs, jigs, c-rigs 7'10"M-F Casting - all cranks shallow - deep
-
What have you purchased recently????? 2010
Bought a Revo Premier and a Kistler Helium II LTX right before Christmas

Rod for Jerkbaits
I use two rods, a 7'M-XF Daiwa Zillion and a 6'10''MH-F Carrot Stix Gold. I like a stiffer rod for working smaller jerkbaits with a quicker, more erratic action.
