  1. "Scrapple" ?? :-/
  2. My favorite would be a low budget sandwich, stuff one low budget hooker between 2 dancers and serve hot 8-)
  3. Don't feel dumb, many, many, many manufacturers are here watching. Most take advantage of the free market info here. They use the site for lots of reasons from monitoring the publics reaction to a certain products (tackle, rods, boating) to looking for guys to help move business along (resume's) BassResource is the pulse of the industry,.......They are here, and they are reading.
  4. And you probably won't. The boss spent a good chunk of change and spent quite a few hours getting this site to perform at this level.
  5. How big is your hard drive? : The raw is all .avi files, very large and literally over a thousand of them. My suggestion would be to note certain shots from the vids that you want and I can isolate those specific avi.'s. Convert them and send.
  6. So today, I'm out with Eric. 38-40 degree water, ice is JUST out, still lots around. I usually don't catch this early in the year. I have a good "back cove" pattern once the water hits that magic 50 degree mark but...before that, I'm weak. Chris told me a few yrs back that traps and cranks are what I'm lacking in,....something I've always known, they just don't appeal to me. I've caught on them, it's not that but.... well, today I found their nich. Back in Dec., Bighead sent me some stuff for the xmas exchange. One was a gold ratltrap type and the other is a blue/silver slash bait type. I didn't know but a few of my friends told me they were nice ones, the team diawa one especially,....cool,....still,...remember, I'm not a cranker, I don't own any, my partner Eric is loaded with them so if I want one, I use his supply. So ,...today I told myself I would stick with the c-bait, why not, ....not gonna catch anyway.....39 degree water.....I showed up with 2 baits I've never used.... So we get out to the deeper water, no wind, and Eric and I are goofing around saying how the bass are probably looking at our lures going by and saying "geez fella's we'd love to eat that for ya but it's 39 friggin degrees and that would take waaaay too much energy",....and then WHAM,...my rod loaded up. Slow creeping the team Diawa bait, and I had a fish on,.....I'm stoked!! Eric is dumbfounded,...I'm dancing,.... Next cast......WHAM!! Another one. Now, these are nothing special size wise but they are very special pattern/versatility/ growth as an angler wise, and I owe it all to 2 members, Chris and Bighead. Thanks guys! Watch this quick vid and you'll see both my Christmas presents catch. One catches a bass, the other catches me! Back out this weekend with Senko77, Tin and Matt 5.0 First of '08
  7. Now that you've gotten a few replies, you'll probably notice that the question should now be HOW, instead of WHEN. the colder the water,....the slower you work it, if at all.
  8. Biggest thing to learning a jig is to be relentless. Do not stop, do now waiver. STICK TO IT and IT will teach YOU how it works. This is one of the few baits that really take some time to "get", but once you do, you will thank the world. Persistence + patience = Jigged up fish, and some BIG ones. For those that don't have the discipline for this yet, follow Flukes advice and use FORCED versatility and only bring the jig next time.
  9. Big momma is right! Especially if "coveside" is deeper than up on the tapering point. I think the fish you may be finding in the coves are not necessarily the same fish. If they are, and this repeats itself with consistency, then maybe those fish are using the point to hold or stage before moving into the cove. Like today, I know the fish will be outside out back coves, waiting for them to warm a couple degrees before they move in there. There could be, in the case of the Chunk, 2 different bites, also. If so, I would venture to guess that the fish in the cove are a smaller class than those out on the point.
  10. By definition.... DINK: See "Tin's" livewell.... ;D
  11. Yup same up here, it must be a north vs south thing. Most of the craws can be found in areas with rocks. A little off topic but do you guys down south ever see bass spawning on very muddy flats? In a few lakes up here bass will spawn in a swamp-like portion of the lake where you can go up to your middle thigh with mud (long story how we found that out) and it appears to be where most of the largies in these lakes spawn. Rumor has it they spawn there because the mud does something for their eggs. :-/ They are going to use the "best" real estate possible. Some small ponds, etc, are only a featureless mud bowl, maybe some leaves. If that's all they have, that's what they use. If they have the option of some of that beautiful, golden, pea gravel at Lake X, surely they would opt for it but you gotta make due with what you got. Like the 3 little pigs houses. If you have brick, you use brick, if not, you use wood, if not, you use straw,...they are all still houses but one is preferable over the other. (I'm having pork for dinner,....got Barb-B-Que on the brain.... ;D )
  12. Black-hard grey/pixilated-soft
  13. Yes, something I learned at fork. A curving line of trees often marked the edge of a creek channel. Only the hardwoods would grow there so they are the only trees left standing. It's cool, in some places, it's like a road was carved out with hardwoods lining the sides. Matt Fly pointed this out on day 1 and I knew I was in a different world, lol.
  14. Mike, Not sure what you're looking for. If you need raw footage for something, I have gig upon gig of it. You've seen my videos i mix to music, if those can be of assistance, let me know. Just not sure what your overall goal/needs are.
  15. You'd be better served if you pour a little water into the actual stereo, harder to replace than the speakers. Next time it is on, bring them down to hear for themselves. Most people are reasonable.
  16. Do your sponsor a favor and SPELL CHECK !!!!
  17. Add temperature breaks and current breaks. You call it staging, I'll called migrating, schooling and holding...and agree to disagree on staging. WRB ok, my "staging", would be your "holding",lol You say to-ma-to...
  18. For the best reply to this, sign up at sounddomain and post in "Speakertalk, components, satellite...." Those guys know where the deals are hiding. (Be prepared though, the AmpMonkey lurks in the car audio domain,....you'll end up with another amp, head unit and dual subs.. ) This guy came in asking if there was anything made to make the FM signal stronger on his factory head unit. This poor guy came in the shop asking for directions!! AmpMonkey met him in the parking lot for a little talk, lol
  19. I plugged in and got nothing. Tried it backwards and it said something about the devil eating cheese.... What gives Mr. Code Writer?..... ;D
  20. Yea, it was never hidden that the big G and Mary Ann were big burners on the set. Thurston made all his loot in the coke rush of the 80's. He was only on that boat to make a drop....bad timing. No, he never made it to the drop. No food, but they had 966 pounds of grade "A" Pink Peruvian. This is where crack was invented,....the professor had too much time on his hands. C'mon though, in all seriousness..........who wouldn't want to fish with Gilligan??? or Mary Ann no less ;D
  21. Neither, for me, it's a mindset. I'd like to think I try to embody the ethics, morality and conservation awareness that fishing brings to the table. That makes it a "way of life" for me.
