  1. I guess it WOULD be an issue if he went out with you. His fans might see a real 8 lbr and wonder why he's been calling all those smaller fish "Hawgz",lol.
  2. There are many brands of through hull transducers. If they have issues shooting through Alum, contact the company, I'm sure there is a solution. I've only mounted 2 in my life and both were on Glass hulls so I'm not sure about the aluminum issue.
  3. I got that out of the way last night, lol. I called Mr. Corkran (yes, those phone numbers are real,...but I would bet $ they get changed soon. This letter is on multiple boards), emailed B.A.S.S. and ESPN. Just a note that if anyone wishes to voice their opinion that you do it in your own name, this is not a BassResource sponsored "rally" (we need to keep Glenn protected and out of this) Other than that, it's our right to voice our concerns reminder- If you want to be heard, keep it professional
  4. They said that back in the 90's too,....didn't happen Good luck with the snowman Tin- I'm one of the drivers that doesn't get a helper But I did gain 2 pounds this yr (so far anyway, the yr isn't over,.....I could still lose it again, lol.)
  5. Good points George. I think that even through all these slams here, we all recognize what he has done for the sport. Hard to deny. So,....You gonna be a guest on the new show?
  6. I don't understand? Rotflmao ;D C'mon Mike (Come on Mike) Lighten up man. I too get my panties in a bunch over this sometimes but it's more of a sorry feeling for the newer generation than something I think they are doing to annoy me. SOMEONE needs to wear the helmet soon, that always seems to lighten things up
  7. Oh man...... ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

  9. this is a copy I found on another site, of the email the Jr Directors got today. "Attached please find a Press Release announcing the move of the JWC from the 2008 Bassmaster Classic in February to the 2008 BASS Federation Nation Championship in November. This issue was discussed with groups of Presidents during the recent Presidents meetings and is being done to align our youth programs with the premier BFN events. We realize that this is short notice and for that I apologize, but I have been reviewing all of our youth programs (as well as all BFN programs) since my return to BASS in May. I believe that this is the right move for the overall Junior Bassmaster program and there is no reason to delay implementation of the decision. Without going into all of the details, I believe that most of you will be very pleased with the youth initiative that is currently in the planning stages. We should have that finalized and out to you right after the first of the year. This was a tough decision, but one that will ultimately help all of us strengthen our youth programs and provide a youth initiative that directly leads to an increase in BFN membership. If you have any questions, please feel free to email or call me. Thanks and have a great holiday season, Don Don Corkran BASS/ESPN Outdoors Director, BASS Federation Nation Office: 407-566-2075 Cell: 407-973-5971 Fax: 407-566-2072" ok, not sure what the name of the event is but when all the state champs compete for the extra spots at the classic, this is where the Jr world champs will be. Instead of going to THE classic, fishing with the pro's, etc, they will be fishing with the state champs. No disrespect for towards these guys intended but how lame is that? MY OPINION (same opinion that has kept me from joining a club all these yrs)
  10. Yes, that's true,..... X 14 kids....... This will cost the kids no less than $1400, just in Airfare Let's remember the vacation weeks parents took, hotels, etc etc. A few of these kids have sponsorships that also pivot on them being there. But most of all, what kind of message does this send the kids of our sport?
  11. Tin's dad called me today, I can't tell you how bad I feel for these guys. I think they are out like 5k, just in non-transferrable airline tickets,....un be lievable. I just lost ALL respect for that organization. Luckily, the TBF-RI just got an ACES president, I can see him recovering this fumble and seeing the whole RI jr team go their way. I hope they do,..the $$ they just cost their members is a slap in the face, the fact that they just left asll these great kids hanging,....well, that's a kick in the privates. I'm extremely let down. Way to go ESPN > > > >
  12. lol, old pic from the last Harry book launch
  13. Here's our playground till January! Matt's truck was packed wall to wall, ceiling to floor, door to door this morning. It was sad. lol
  14. I said "bigfoot",...not Rosie Odonnell,....geeez,...gimme a LITTLE credit ;D ;D
  15. Eric, don't forget the 25 mph winds. Brings us to a Balmy "feels like" 7 degrees. Personally, I love it. (aside from the dead battery, lol) I NEED a break each year, the winter keeps me hungry. This is why I know I couldn't cut it as a guide, so many people think it's "the high life" but there is so much more to it than just fishing every day. I know I couldn't fish every day and still love the sport the way I do. Kudos to the guides that never stop. Catch 'em up guys!!!
  16. So if bigfoot isn't real, who did I kick out of here this morning?? ;D :
  17. By February? I KNOW I could make a SICK video of one of these things. I have specific "shots" in mind, etc. Robert, if the Pagnini isn't in the garage by my trip in Feb, can we borrow a friends super car for 1/2 a day? Nope, not kidding. If not, let's get one of your buds to participate himself. I really, really want to film one of these. (maybe Chris D?)
  18. He ain't lyin'! I could hear that stupid 'PLOP.....PLOP" from the other side of the lake! The pictures they showed us on the bank weren't so stupid though I prefer the dying flutter over the devil's horse, Heddon's version, better hooks, sturdier bait, etc. I have been giving my lake a break from these, we were deadly with them in years past. It seems on our lake, the fish become accustomed to baits that make a very specific noise, over time. The flutter will be back in the line up this yr. Stay tuned
  19. If you are building from the ground up, check out the Ranger handicapped version boat. The front deck has a "lazy susan" type configuration. There is a big circle with the pedestal in the middle. The circle can "lock" in place for when YOU are using it. Remove the ped/seat, unlock the deck and the wheelchair locks right into it. Something to look at.
  20. That's awesome dude!!! (Does this mean the guys won't be getting any cake at Gville? )
  21. Don't insult my senkos! > ;D
  22. GO ZEL!!! If they had a fat tax, I would get money back!!! (then I could buy more smokes, lol)
