What makes a Senko a Senko
Ahhh, this one again. I'll have to issue the challenge again but make it a little more "un-disputable". Anyone who wishes to fish any lake with a GYCB senko against an ***, say when. Same boat, same lake, different baits. Why are they better (there's our fav word again)? Marketing. But marketing doesn't catch fish,..just fishermen. Paying close to $1 per worm is just nuts to me. It's not a Low Budget thing, it's common sense. Watch the videos

New PB--In March and in New England, no less!
Welcome Home!!! lol I wonder if she is he same fish, 1 yr older?? We are struggling here, ice is finally out on the home lake but temps are still in the 40-44 degree range. 1 warming trend and the back cove will start spitting out some rewards for us. Way to break ground for '07 Norman!!

MOOKS GONE WILD TEAM SIGN UP
East, West, South and North, if you've ever felt Mooky, step on forth. I'm now a mook, a "mookmaster" at that, I eat meatballs with raisins and use a stick for a bat. (Disclaimer- I've never won a wet T-shirt contest) Mason-Dixon, Mississippi River, state lines, all irrelevant. Being a mook can mean alot of things but one thing it is not, is a geographical label.

YUM Buzzfrogs Sink?
Think again, lol. Many Yum products are made 9in some of the same factories as many of our other favorite plastics. LPT is good stuff. Without it, the bait is plain old soft plastic. These baits are supposed to sink. They are multi-purpose. Great for a topwater as a steady retrieve. AWESOME to pull across pads and let it drop into the holes If want a frog to start and stop, float, etc., these aren't the ones

STATE RECORD!!!!!!
That thing looks like it would go 14 all day,....I can't believe you released a state record...

your opinion, chatterbait an super glue?
Why are so many people having problems with this bait? Partycrasher just recently posted about his CB's falling apart and I have had the same experiences. Is it a design flaw? Are there certain ones that hold up better?

Trolling motor: 30 lb. vs. 55 lb. ?
First off, putting 500 lbs in a 10 ft jon is plain crazy. BUT,...IF you're that crazy dude we see every once in awhile on the water, go for the 55. Big difference in the wind and you'll need to keep that thing pointed into the wind with that much weight in it. Taking one broadside would surely put you in the drink. Are you sure it isn't a 12?

First Bass Thumb of the season!!!
I think YBM was talking about air temps going from 70 to 40, not water temp.

What kind are you using? I've noticed certain brands are made much cheaper than others also.

Jig and Pig HAWG
Man, those are a pretty fish. King of the jungle.

fat ika secret getting out
Forwards, it's a solid tube shaped bait,...backwards,...it's a freshwater squid, lol. seriously, this bait in an 8,10 or 12 inch version would be very nice for saltwater.

MOOK SIDE OF THE SAGA 100% The Truth

Cranks- Why trebles??
In relation to Ghost's recent post about changing out the hooks on your cranks, why do cranks always come with trebles?? In the saltwater world, we ALWAYS change the rear hook to a single hook, not a treble. The hookup ratio with the harder fighting fish (i.e.- bluefish, tuna, bonita) increases quite a bit when the rear hook is one big single hook. Sometimes adding a hook with a feather bunch or skirt is a huge plus also. I am primarily speaking about lipless cranks like a rat-l-trap. The ones we use are 3.5 ounce and up, could it be because of the size of the baits and the quarry, make the trebles ineffective? So I was just wondering if any of you freshwater folk switch out trebles for singles?

Exclusive Lake Fork trip report thread
Kudos to Mr. Stroman!! Now THAT's a class act Congrats to Glenn and Keri for their new PB's. Many other PB's were caught on Fork too. Cigarlover got his Triton21 got his Nboucher came real close Folks, this is a good place to thank and give mention to any guide services or help that was offered in catching your fish. I didn't know who went with who so I made no mention of the guides, please feel free to do so now.

NEW TO THE CAST AND REEL.
Because that's what they wanted, lol. They were probably feeding on baitfish at the time. DON'T GIVE UP ON THE JIG!! Welcome aboard. PS- kissing is one thing,...throwing some tongue in there is just plain questionable, lol. (be careful with that tongue, those sandpaper teeth can still do damage to soft tissue ; )

Alpster's story...VERY LONG....
Excellent story Ronnie. I think between the writings of yourself, nboucher, muddy,triton21,etc, that the members are getting a great feel for what the week was like but I'll be the one to say it....words just don't cut it, you had to be there, and hopefully, next year you will be!! Thanks for sharing!

Help with my knee.
Go see a doctor. Knees are full of cartilage, if you think it will be a bad situation at work now, remember, it will be worse later. Face it, tackle it, move on to the next dilemma.
