  4. OK, no arrests, no accidents, no problems. No Avid either but he's on the bus occupants minds. Bass bus has arrived at checkpoint 1 and the boys have settled in for the night. They fought some ugly weather but managed to weave in and out of all the rookie drivers who aren't accustomed to foul weather driving. Great job Captain!! I will post when they are up and rolling again, they plan for an early start tomorrow. Keep it safe guys. No word from triton21 yet but I believe he arrived at Fork today.

  10. Burley, I have a feeling that tilling your garden could get me arrested. (When can I start? hehe)
  11. Craig, be a wussy for Blue eyes and the little one, noone will make fun of you, I promise
  12. No offence towards guides intended at all. I am saying it is understandable . Clients are food on the table for these guys families and another hand in the pot isn't alwyas "welcome". That's all I'm saying. If I were to do it in another state, I would surely establish myself in the community for a few years first. Minimum.

  14. One of my all time easter favorites
  15. I'm not quitting UPS, by any means just yet. Things will pick up. This down time though is making me realize I don't want to do this forever, especially if it's going to be a rollercoaster. I'd like to set up somthing online that could also keep me free enough to pursue other part-time endeavors. That would be ideal.
  16. Hmmm,...maybe I should ban you now then.......Glenn? (we could always let him back on at the end of the week if he behaves) Hmmm......which button should I press....(thinking)
  17. Starting the year off right, holy cow!!
  18. He is definately Florida oriented, it looks like a mix between a bass and a snook.
  19. The main thing keeping me here right now is I have a really great set-up. I pay $425/mo for rent in a place that could easily pull 900-1000 on location alone. I would never find another place like this. But if I made enough where it were all relative.......bon voyage.
  20. I have but there are many variables. A. Rhode Island has a short season and I would guide for both fresh and salt and THOSE seasons overlap as well. B. 1/2 yr season in RI C. Not enough demand here. If I were to do it, I would do it down south. This is somthing that is more and more appealing, the more I get involved with freshwater fishing. To do this, in the south, as a yankee,....I risk being shot. I assume. Up here a few of my friends guide and have been trying to get me to do it too, it's not so hostile because I worked side by side with these guys often putting them and their clients on fish with my knowledge of the bay from digging clams so long. I learned the fish routes and haunts by accidental observation. Anyway, if someone from the south came up here and tried to take biz from these guys, let's just say it's a dirty game. Your boat can sink at the dock overnight, or get stripped clean in an hour, stuff like that. I can't imagine it would be any different ifg I went and did that insomeone elses neighborhood. I wouldn't do that to another guide anyway. I'm not cutthroat enough to play those games. So.....now what? The next few years could prove to be very interesting for me.
  21. I just don't understand why many of the craw imitation makers have it so the craw walks forward????? I'd love the hudbug if it pulled backwards like a real craw travels. (I know they CAN walk forward but you'll only see that if there are no bass around.)
  22. Man, the last few weeks at UPS have been sucking wind. Volume is down and we just lost Dell as an account. I am a cover driver and there are way too many of us right now. I've gotten 6 hrs this week. That's not gonna cut it. So, anyone need their boat unwinterized? Car washed? Guided "ice-out" lesson? Dog walked? I have also been throwing around the idea of starting an internet tackle biz or somthing internet related. Anyone?? It's snowing, need your driveway shoveled?
