  1. Dry rot tires. Easy one. Next time you pull a rotted or old tire off your trailer, keep it. Make sure you give it some terminal damage before storing in your truck. You are about to have a trailer blowout on youir way HOME from fishing. Very important not to say it happened on the way TOfishing because then you could have fixed it and come home. Luckily enough, some friendly redneck named Cletus is going to happen to have a tire at his house that you can borrow to get home. He lives 5,10 or up to 25 miles away depending on how much time you need. DOUBLE BENEFIT- After returning the tire to your newfound friend, you will need to withdraw $50 from the checking account to get another one at your local boating store. This money can now be used to pay for somthing you've been wanting for your boat. Be sure not to get the great idea of getting a spare tire on this trip to the store. This will null and void the use of this whopper in the future with the next girlfriend. Good luck. There are 457 more where that came from. I have them categorized by season on my computer. File will be for sale @ www.bassproshops.com in late November. Makes a great gift for any fishing partner , father, brother , or in-law. Book comes with a false cover titled "How to treat your woman better" retail $24.99
  2. Got anyone you don't like? Soak a rag with scent and leave in car during a hot day,...practical jokes are non-stop between UPS drivers and this one never fails,...I like to tuck it up under the heater box,lol
  3. Nice rig! I'm not a big bass boat afficionado, so without offending you, is that an old boat? It looks (style-wise) to be a bit older and if so,...that thing is immaculate!

  5. I use a single switchable/tiltable headlamp. $13.99
  6. senko77,......... We'll see,...Sun, 3am, be ready! Lookin' forward to learnin' from a 9!!!
  7. Tell her you were fishing. Tell her you love her too much to make up some lie. She'll never see it coming and in her confusion, will not know which reaction to spit at you therefor leaving her to ponder and you to escape.
  8. I agree with Brad. In our lake , we start the night off fishing all humps that have 4-6' of water on them. The deeper the nearby water, they better these places hold fish. Our lake offers lots of these so we are lucky. Also,.If a small grass island or island has a "tongue" coming off one side, those are also awesome spots. Once in a while however, a biggin' can be picked up cruising the banks and weed edges in shallower water. Fun stuff!
  9. After reading earthworms post, I have re-thought this and he is absolutely right. Changing my rank to a 6.
  10. Nick_Culver, you're on the right track. Lures are just tools to do a job and nothing more. I buy baits to do certain things. If there is only one bait that will do it and it's $15, so be it.[ SO are you saying that at certain times, and certain situation, water clarity, fish location, etc that you would only have the level of confidence you are comfortable with if the bait was a yamamoto? If that's the case then I guess I can understand but for the 99.4 % of the rest of the season, when any senko will do, do you still pay $6 for 10? I'm not trying to be a punk or a wize-azz, I just don't get the logic.
  11. Acstech, no need to validate anything. I would never put down anyone for using or not using one bait or the other either. Just stating my opinion, didn't mean to offend anyone other than Gary because frankly, I wouldn't have started this post if he hadn't offended me with his prices first.
  12. yes, boring but deadly
  13. herculiner isn't as good IMO. Has a rubbery-er texture
  14. We are reffered to as "foul weather fishermen" Somthing about being hunkered down in gore-tex, all protected, .................................with the place to yourself!! LOVE IT!!!
  15. priorities,....he's buyin hilfigers to get the chick (priority 1 ) with that said, he just dropped $65 on 1 pair of jeans so he can't afford GY senkos for his fishin (priority 2) and ends up buyin yum dingers. My point is,..will he catch less??? Doubt it.
  16. definately got a pulse and a heartbeat
  17. Don't expect anything from anyone. Don't know why you would think that. If people want to pay twice as much for the same results,...like it says,...it's a free country. I'm not criticizing people who swear by Gary, just my opinion. I will have the same opinion if someone paid $40,000 for a Mazda Navajo when they could buy a ford explorer (same car) for 10k less. Mazda , however, doesn't charge twice as much as ford because everyone knows it's the same car. Now that there are baits that perform equally, I think Gary should show some support for his customer base and not rape the people who support him so steadfastly.
  18. you can,...but I wouldn't Why would you want to?
  19. I'm starting my own personal boycott. Gary yamamoto baits are as greedy as the company I work for (UPS). Beelieve me, that's saying quite a bit. I could understand setting a minimum price when you have a product that is deadly, new, and when it's the only one made. However, now that other bait companies have produced senko look-alikes, I think it would be nice to see their prices come back to earth. Even if it was just 50 cents a bag, a show of good intent. Now we have yum dingers, tiki sticks, etc etc etc and they work just fine. In the last 2 weeks we did a small experiment. My partner used gary y exclusively and I used yum exclusively. He is by far a better fisherman than myself but I still outfished him by 4 fish (close one) and 2 lunkers (over 3 lbs). The fact that I won doesn't mean that I think dingers are better than senkos but to me it illustrates that they perform every bit as well. Some guys will have an opinion that when one works, the other doesn't and vise versa. Sorry, I'm not a believer. If both people are throwing the ssame color, I believe it comes down to where the cast lands. I track every fish, weather trait, bait, etc on an excel spreadsheet and I am about 9% better than I was last year and I have not bought 1 bag of yam. baits. Sorry, but I think it's rude to charge $7 for a bait that does no better than one that costs $3.50. The problem is that anglers keep paying it!!! Gary must be sitting back chuckling allllll the way to the bank with YOUR money! I'm all about the companies that appreciate their customer base. In my opinion, Yamamoto baits is not one of them. I'll be fishing just fine without his product ok guys, lemme have it!
  20. the tuna's we catch using live bait jigged up just south of the tuna grounds. Usually live Whitting or Hake but a small bluefish also gets it done. The LM was caught on a jig
  21. mudpuppy, true about the swim bladder. WHen we jig up bait for tuna fishing , they come from about 180 ft and sure enough the swim bladders protrude out of their mouths. A simple ***** w/ the rigging needle and into the "livey basket" they go., unhurt.
  22. many depthfinders show the bottom "density" in different color greygraph. solid black at the bottom of your screen means hard bottom as opposed to weedbeds which may show up as spotty grey.
