  1. Very sad. I will pray for them.
  2. What is a banjo? :-? An illegal cup of coffee....... ;D
  3. I know, I know,....the banjo never made it this far north.......
  4. Cool cool. If I go Saturday it will be solo, considering hitting the surf since the new Loomis will be in on Tuesday. The urge to catch Stripers is strong again 8-) If I get you on the Bay for Sunday, then you're in? Fishous is at the dock and Rusty Hooks is coming out of the shop any day now. You can still bring the Loomis,...after yesterday, I would ;) ( that's "wink wink" for the smiley impaired, lol) Big-O, Thanks for the compliments but......That was SUPPOSED to be a safety video but it ended up being a safety video gone very wrong, lol. Lighting was terrible too, If I hadn't gone overboard, it would have never aired, lol. I will do one now though, any other suggestions? I hadn't thought about trebles overboard in "other' lakes. we are primarily fishin open water flats. Good heads up, thanks.
  5. You guys need to go to more CAST events......Spinnerbait on a bobber. Very common on the sloped beaches here in Narragansett bay, back in my grandpa's days. Lead filled wooden dowel homemade plugs on used clothes lines. Turn your back to the surf with the rope over shoulder and walk towards the parking lot, lol.
  6. Got one coming (and you have a phone call coming,...another "higher power" moment)
  7. Please limit replies to.... A. This tutorial helped you B. This tutorial DID NOT help you ;D
  8. Matty, maybe we should bury a survival kit over on Gilligans island, fill it with camera batteries, shear pin for t/m, extra clothes, extra raingear, etc.......lol If you can meet up with us, maybe we can all hit breakfast after
  9. "So you wanna be a ........rock star....."-Cypress Hill 3am, next Saturday, Dirk's dads house. 3 rod limit, Roll film
  10. Here we go ;D 8-) Episode II
  11. Hey Big O, Strike King hooked us up here in Providence the 1st yr. Chris Brown sent us a few cases of goodies, included bags that we used for the grab bags too. Soft plastics, spinner baits, etc etc, The stuff was a huge hit with the kids, especially the mini-kings, they produced a few fish that day. Very cool I sure would like to get them on board with us nationally. Partnerships with CAST are a win/win on both sides every time, ....any suggestions?
  12. FFD......I'm thinking you get beat up a lot, good guess?? ;D
  13. If you have questions, feel free to call me, PM for #. Feel free to pick my brain, all basic info but sometimes it's easier on the phone. Or, just PM me a list of questions.
  14. Please add me to the list KB- Look at the mojo thread, initial post. I add the pics to it as they come You could add the chart last and update it with each pic.
  15. I pretty much limit myself to all colors. I'm waiting for a rainbow worm to dispel every color myth there ever was, lol.
  16. So yes, you can tow it
  17. Yes, go to the site, there is a store. Thanks
  18. FF15- The Providence Fire Dept is a huge help here at our event in Providence. They even bring the canteen truck down to cook and serve all the food from. In fact, many dept's around the country help out at various events. You guys are awesome.
  19. Assuming this is your pond... feed the baitfish. Fat and plentiful baitfish=FAT BASS (buy a pellet feeder) Take out anything that competes with the bass. As for the snappers, I would PLEASE ask/suggest, you relocate them as opposed to the simple .22 method. A basketball sized turtle can be as old as 50-70 yrs and a manhole cover sized one as much as 150. Just would seem a shame to end such an enduring life with a gun, because they don't suit our needs. Just my opinion, it's your turtle
  20. Check out THESE KIDS, right on!! This one came from Gods' Country in Abilene, Texas. Jennifer Farrar and her group from the Betty Hardwick Center do a wonderful job each year at Lake Fort Phantom. The smiles say it all. Thank you all for being Special Thrill Makers! So help me spread the word and if you think you or someone you may know would be interested in changing a couple hundred lives one weekend,...let me know and we'll make it happen, as a team. Russ Thetonia-LBH Eastern Events Director For more info about The Foundation, please visit www.castforkids.org Thanks for reading
  21. A KEEPER!!! Congrats Randall!
  22. Check the video in THIS post and see what I will do for my STX 24(27?) lbs of drag with the STX. I also love the way the drag has click settings and they are METAL!, not plastic. Nice. Light baits-no issue,....and I'm not the most proficient with a baitcaster. I've used Robert's Pixy's (not sure if thats the same as a Sol) and really didn't catch enough on them to evaluate them but I will say that the small size is very conducive to my small hands. Palming the pixy iis easy and comfortable
