  1. Tin would talk smack to KVD, don't let him get under your skin, I'm the one to worry about, lol. I'm tough on folks looking to get sponsored, probably where Tin gets some of it from, but both of us have been in this game and we just want you to know that this is how it is. You need thick skin and open ears,...so far the ears are open, that's a good start. Next, check out a few of the sticky's in this section, (there's even one about spelling and grammar, lol). There are folks from the industry who have helped compile those threads, you won't find more REAL info anywhere on the net.
  2. No,...he doesn't look a bit like you.... : Nice job Gavin!!
  3. Circle- no hook set, let fish load rod. Octopus or finesse wise gap--SET the hook EWG- SET the hook (not for wacky rigging but will work in a pinch)
  4. .....while expending as little energy as possible to obtain said fuel. That's what makes these places the "hot spot", often the current will deliver the food to the fish. (if he/she owns that real estate)
  5. Welcome Aboard Zell!
  6. Welcome Aboard Lay-z!

  11. We certainly wouldn't "Hate" it if everyone took the time to read the board headings BEFORE posting to make sure it's in the right place to begin with.
  12. Nothing magical, just brands that don't use med sized salt grains. Try an ***, same amount of salt as "you know who", but it's fine grain. You won't be let down, you'll catch the same fish and lose a lot less baits and save a ton of cash.
  13. First off, Use brands that don't require an O-ring. THESE are wacky rig hook sets
  14. sure,...but I need dates and times,....... -old man ;D Nice fish Basser!!
  15. Left coast??? You doing headstands again??? ;D Thanks guys 8-)
  16. Infidels suggestion applies if by "thicker grass", you mean grass that is in the whole water colum, ex: 4ft of water, 3-4 ft of grass. At my lake, the hydrilla is in 6-20 feet or so, but it is on the bottom and comes up 1-4 ft w/ floating "pods" that accumulate and drift around the lake. To fish the deeper grass, once it starts to thicken up, we do just the opposite of Infidels suggestion. We use 1/8 oz FULL SIZE PROFILE finesse jigs. (Terminator finesse and Nichols Mango jigs are our fav's so far) DEADLY BAITS in that kind of grass set up!!!!! ps- Use MH spinning gear, 10-12 lb test
  17. Snow Rave at LBH's place on 12/21/12! Absolutely. I'll start working on sponsors So, after reading this, I'd like you all to please send your phone numbers to my PM box so we can stay in touch after the show is over. Glenn, can you "up" my inbox limit to 15k please? ;D
  18. Why would you try to teach frogs how to smoke? It was a slow bite......Idle hands....... ;D
  19. This particular bait is a wake bait. Dives to about a foot but you fish it on top. Slow creep it and pause. Slow creep, pause, retrieve. And Max,...yup, I'm hooked, we'll see where it goes from here If there's ever an LBH swimbait rod, it better be made of something VERY unbreakable and VERY cheap ;D,...in these days and times,...what are the odds?
  20. Great story Matt Mike!! (haha) For the record, a Bull Frog will eat ANYTHING you dangle in front of it. you can pull it out of it's throat and it will bite it again,....even if it's a cigarette butt. VERY aggressive.
  21. I feel for you man. This is another sacrifice you guys are making on our behalf. Thanks. I wish you could fish bud. :-/
