Chargers problem?
I'll start by saying I live in San Diego, I'm not a Charger fan per say, but would like them to do well for the city. At the beginning of the year at a Monday Night Game, I got in an argument with some of my Sisters friends that the chargers wouldn't make the Super Bowl with Rivers. My argument is that rivers is not a Leader, and they had a better chance with Breez. My example is last year, the night before the playoff game, a bunch of the Chargers players were out at a strip club till 2am. In my opinion players that respected their QB (leader), wouldn't do that.I just couldn't see Drew's, Mannings, or Montana's players doing that to them. I Know they had the #1 offence and the #1 Defence, and still didn't make the playoffs.Stats only get ya so far. What's your opinion on the Chargers?

amount of drag
Or you can buy a drag scale. Their a "T" shaped spring scale that has a tab that marks your highest setting where your drag slips. Shimano makes the most durable one.

Sufix 832 Superline????
I understand Dodge guy, I'm just saying for the average angler like me, that power pro is a good braid. I use it in salt and fresh and it does everything I want in a braid and it's not junk. I always use braid as a main line, and it does the job more than adequate. I'm sure these opinions of what's the best braid will go on for a long time.

Sufix 832 Superline????
A shoe string is better braid than power pro. I love opinions! World record tuna caught on Power Pro but it's junk..lol I'm 90% sure Tuf line is the same as power pro, if you wanna save money. In tests, 30Lb power pro breaks at 50 lbs.

World record Bass
I have heard from a reliable source (someone I would believe), That dottie has some offspring in lake dixon that are over 15+lbs already.

Do you always stay within the suggested lure weight range of a rod??
Just this Sunday I saw in add in the paper for Okuma Inshore rods on sale at a local sporting goods store (reg 139.95 for 39.95). The reason why they were on sale was because they built the rods with the wrong rod number and line - lure rating. I picked up two, and was able to cross them over on their web site to the correct ratings of that rod. I do have rods that are labeled wrong in my opinion. An older quantum rod that is labeled MH,but compared to other MH, the blank is really a heavy. Another is a Shimano rod that is way over powered, but is labeled 1\2- 1 1\2 10-25 line. This rod can handle 2 ounces easily. So my answer is No, I don't stay within the suggested weight ratings all the time.

Music?
I've have seen Rush 4 times in concert. It is an amazing show they put on,and to think they almost gave it up a couple years ago... The rock and roll hall of fame didn't put them in this year, but they will get it someday.

I have to make a correction. I just tested the drag again and was able to get 8 out of it.

I thought CL was Duralumina PQ - Brass PQT - brass? PQT is aluminum\Duralumina

BPS Pro Qualifier Tournament Reel???
The only thing I was disappointed in with this reel is that the drag is a two washer stack, one drag washer and one stainless washer+base washer. It's rated at 8, but i could only get 6 out of it.I guess that's plenty for Bass, but i will use this reel for Small Mouth at the River. Other than that it seems like a nice smooth reel.

I wonder if Nanotechnology will ever bring us a Fluoro braid...
I think you may have misunderstood what I said... I agree with this (about using Fluoro for better above surface visibility). I have Red Braid and Green Braid on a few of my set-ups and I have a hell of a time seeing these lines sometimes when trying to line watch. As for the Fluoro, I have a much easier time picking it up with my eyes and being able to see the movement in the line. I don't know if this is a function of the polarized glasses I wear or just what my eyes can see best, but if I am using a line watching technique, Fluoro is what I am using. Really, with 500 hundred dollar IM20 rods and Braided line. Who line watches anymore?

Flouro Discussion
What's wrong with what he said? Fluorocarbon is a crystal and different blends create different characterisitcs. I guess i just got schooled by a 15 year old..Sorry Bassclary!

Flouro Discussion
Is Leader Material Flouro different then main line flouro you buy in 300-600 yrd spools? The other day i was on u-tube watching a knot video of a tournament angler, not sure if he was a pro.He is big on jig fishing, and uses braid and about 5 feet of flouro leader. He says he stopped using main line flouro as a leader, and is using leader material instead now"due to something put on the leader material that gives it better knot strength" (Yes his scientific answer). I just wonder if anybody else agrees with him, or if this is just his opinion? I always wondered why leader material cost so much.

Braid ? Good ones ,and Bad ones !
I bought Power pro and Tuf line (80 for Salt) in the same weekend. I started to read the boxes, they are both made in the same town, like two blocks away from eachother in Col. Makes me wonder who broke off from who, or it's a city that produces alot of textiles?

Potential World Record Tuna
Wow,a fishing feat like this and all ya talk about is the price of the meat? The price of the meat is chump change compared to what all involved are gonna get now. Mike Livingston is a retired, educated man and has instantly become the spokesman for Penn, power pro, Owner hooks, and Cal sheets ( Cal's drag grease) to name a few. The rod he used was a rod he wrapped himself and can't remember what blank.

Potential World Record Tuna
So I did some research on the line..It's called soft steel made by a company called Fox. It's mono, I can only find it in the UK. They do make line in less pound test for Bass fishing. Who's gonna be the ginnie pig?
