There is grass in Mill, it’s just not as thick as it is in housen. Fished today once again in the mid lake area. The bite was slow and a lot of my schools of deep fish finally started making a push up towards the shallows. We grinded all day picking up one here and one there, although bites were a lot harder to come by, the size was still there. Big fish today was just under 7lbs. Deep cranking, Carolina rigs, and fb jigs in 15-25’

You can hide in la nana pretty easily. The south bank has some good points on it and the north bank has a couple bridges you can get behind with bushes and docks close by to fish.

Today was another great day on Toledo. The wind was brutal, but the Minn Kota Ultrex earned its keep today. We caught 45 fish today all coming from 15-28’ deep. Top 5 weighed 21.5lbs. I also had one jump off that was easily over 8lbs. Then my next cast I caught a 6.5lber. I love when they are offshore,

I fished today around midlake area and had a little over 23lbs. Caught my biggest fish on a river ledge On a 6xd. She was post spawn already. Was long and had the head of a 9lber but only weighed a little under 8lbs. Caught a few other 3lbers on a crankbait then went shallow at 11am. Broke off one around 5lbs, caught one over 5, a 4, and a bunch of 2-3lb fish. Shallow fish came on a senko and trick worm, but they weren't fished "normal". I went back deep at 3 and found a small school in Tennessee bay. Caught a few 2lbers and had a big one bend my hook on my 6xd. All in all, a good day.

According to what days you will be here I may have an opening. I guide part time on Toledo and Rayburn. Jason courville, Zack Gagnard, and Darold Gleason are all good guides on Toledo too. Late June will be a topwater and deep ledge bite more than likely. As for places around New Orleans, I would go to Venice!

Yep. A good friend of mine, Zack Gagnard with Elite Guide Service, had some good ones yesterday with a chatterbait. That's not my style of fishing at all, but they are catching them doing it. We had the bites for over 30lbs Thursday out deep, so there are still enough deep fish, they are just hard rover find right now. Still ended up with over 23lbs top 5.

Hey guys, sorry I haven't reported in awhile but I had a trip last week and the past couple days. Last week we fished he south end and had a tough day. I think we boated 7 but had a 5lber and a 4lber. The big ones were caught deep. The 5 came from 34' of water. We graphed a few small schools but they didn't cooperate. Thursday we fished midlake and found the fish cooperating much better. We boat well over 50 fish with 20+ over 3lbs with the biggest weighing in at 7lbs. Most fish were caught on a Carolina rig, 3/4oz fb jig, and a spoon. Yesterday we headed back south only to find the deep bite still lacking. Lots of boats and fish up shallow, but we stuck it out deep and boated 8 fish. Our top 5 weighed 13lbs. If I were fishing today, I can promise you I'd be midlake to the north end lol. Those south end fish aren't use to living in muddy water lol.

Paulo Gaucho is a really good creek. This time of year, it may be worth the idle to go all the way to the back. There are a lot of cypress tress and stumps back there that fish spawn on. It's a long idle, but can be worth it. Spinnerbait, chatterbait, and a jig is all you need.

It gets crazy, but the lake is big and you can find some areas without all the crazy. Just stay away from the bridge down to Housen lol. North ain't too bad and way south ain't too bad, I've cashed a few checks doing that

I have two Humminbird Onix 10's

Zack is a good friend of mine. He I said good. I also do some electronic training on the water. But what I look for is a point extending out to the desired depth that the fish are holding. Most of the time, they will be set up on the steeper side of the point where they can have quick access to deep water. I'm not fishing the flat around the point, I'm fishing on the tip of the point and the drop off into deep water. My boat may be sitting in 30' and I'm casting into 15' dragging down the drop off.

If I see red lips, you better believe I'm going to be throwing a red trap!

You will love that ultrex! Best add on to a boat you can have outside of good electronics.

Water was 46-50 today. It was warmer south than it was up north

Lakemaster is best, but only works in Humminbird. Your next best bet will be the navionics plus.
