  1. I've read that you are supposed to apply a light coating of oil with a q-tip to the rim the the centrifugal brakes make contact with. After doing this my casting distances increases but it seems like it declines fairly quick. My question is, how often do most of you do this?
  2. I have a Summit I've been using since last year. It's the narrow spool version. I've accidently caught a few good sized muskies on it and it handled them no problem. Palms well, casts great. It's a nice little reel.
  3. Buzzbait, Baby Torpedo, and Mann's Chug'n Spit.

    Welcome!
  5. I'm a respiratory therapist for a home medical equipment company. We deliver oxygen, CPAP's (anyone here have one?), etc. to people's homes and show them how to use it. Been at it for going on my 17th year.
  6. Kentucky: where the TOOTHbrush was invented. Anywhere else and it would have been called the TEETHbrush. ;D
  7. Zoom tiny chunk.
  8. That's another option. Which is the last thing you need when the bait monkey's after you ;D
  9. I've read a lot about the braking system on the Reve STX being finicky and hard to adjust and was curious about the braking on the Premier. I know it has the linear mag brake like the STX and was wondering about the Premier. Heading to Bass Pro Shops Saturday and with the reel trade-in and the Wiley X sunglasses deal I was debating on checking one out.
  10. Heck, if I see water on a TV show or movie I'll think "I'd cast there, and there, and there..". The warped mind of a fisherman.
  11. I have Windstream broadband, no ESPN360 for me either. :'(
  12. Out of the four you mentioned I have the Citica and the Revo S and would recommend the Citica.
  13. I recently had an owner/employee follow me around a with an $18 container of Gulp until I finally had to leave. Usually a simple "let me know if I can help you" and I'm set to shop. Another thing that drives me nuts is that 9 times out of 10 there will be one customer in there telling anyone who'll listen and usually anyone who doesn't want to listen about a fish he caught, a tournament he fished, a rod or reel he has, etc. They are usually the ones who are speaking so loud you can hear them all over the store. Drives me crazy!!
  14. The Shootist with John Wayne.
  15. Seredipity with John Cusack and Kate Beckinsale.
  16. I've received the master catalog and the spring angler, just checked my account, no deduction is points. Is this something new?
  17. Because my wife will die when I put a computer in the bathroom. Could a laptop be in my future? Seriously though, this site is great.
  18. Abu Garcia Cardinal 100u and a 5 1/2 foot Lightning Rod with 6lb test. Ultra light is a lotta fun!
  19. My favorite is Bassin' with Bassmaster a distant second.
  20. Thanks, that's something I've always been curious about.
  21. How do you clean the bearing that's on the spool shaft? I've never tried to get the pin off the spool shaft to remove the bearing for fear of bending/breaking the pin.
  22. I have a question but it's kinda off track. Are the trout stocked in these lakes for trout fishing or primarily to feed these giant bass? Or both?
  23. To quote Michael Corleone in The Godfather Pt. 3 "Just when I thought I was out they pull me back in". I don't think the Godfather ever fought anything like the baitmonkey
  24. Went to Sportsman's Warehouse yesterday, they had Daiwa Fuego baitcasters marked down to $179. Got the guy to take it out of the display case and I put it on a rod, sure felt nice. Ended up leaving with out it. For now anyway. Hoping someone will tell me they are horrible reels, my resistance is fading fast :-/
