  1. I am fishing the BASS Federation Nation Eastern Divisional on Lake Simcoe in Ontario. I am a non-boater, and this is the biggest tournament I have ever fished. Does anyone have any advice for me, and has anyone else ever fished there before.
  2. Holy crap, that is one fat bass, how much did she weigh?
  3. Has anyone here fished there before. I am fishing as a non-boater there in a tournament in a couple of weeks. Any help would be appreciated.
  4. It currently has a 43 lbs thrust TM, if I get it, I want to go to a 71 or 82. Straight 24 Have not bought the boat yet, so I do not know the answers to those questions. Thanks for the information.
  5. I am looking at buying an old bass boat (87 Ranger). It currently has a 12v trolling motor. Is it possible to set it up with a 24v trolling motor? If so, is this a do it yourself kind of job, or do you need a professional.

Our club is small (just 19 members) and only a couple of years old. The most boats we have had at any one tournament is 5. We have a good time though.
  7. I saw that this weekend. I don't think I have ever seen two guys have as much fun as they seemed to on that episode. The longer Fish Fishburne is on the more entertaining it will be.
  8. Here are a couple of places for you to look for information: http://www.ilfednation.com/ http://www.wisconsinbassnation.com/ Hope this helps
  9. Thanks, best of luck to you as well.
  10. I know it won't happen, but I would love to see them move the classic back to late summer or early fall. It stinks that the only place they can have it is in the South. I thought the classic in Pittsburgh was great, so what if they did not have huge bags of fish.
  11. Good luck to you, that Ti Launch is going to be crowded. There is supposed to be another tournament out of there this weekend as well.
  12. I have been to some of the BPS retail stores and have not had the problems you are talking about, but maybe I have not been to them enough to run in to problems. You do have to check internet prices before shopping at them. I got a lower price at the store on a reel this spring than on the internet. It was a model that they had changed this winter and raised the price, the store had the leftover models so I was able to get one for $30 less than the internet. I would love to have a Cabela's or a BPS with in an hour drive.
  13. I would start looking here: http://www.kbcfn.com/ You should be able to get connected with someone there. Good luck
  14. I did not fish this weekend, but a friend of mine just fished the BFL on Saturday. He said the water was just like coffee from all the rain we have had. A large majority of the top weights were from people that ran up north to fish smallies on beds. They are predicting rain showers most of the week, but nothing too heavy so hopefully the water will clear up some by the weekend. My club is having a tournament out of Larabee's Point (across from Ti on VT side) on Saturday.
  15. I have the BPS 100 MPh and I love them. I have used them in an all day tournament with steady to heavy rain and stayed perfectly dry. I also use them for just a windbraker when running down the lake early in the morning.
  16. The current Federation dues for BASS is $20 per year. Your state may have dues for the state ours here in VT is $5. You would need to contact your state federation for your club to be affiliated. Yes there are discounts available on Lowrance and Motorguide products. These discounts are bigger for state team members.
  17. We have 17 members with 5 NB. We draw 2 or 3 days before the tournament. If for some reason we have a greater number of NB than boaters we put 3 in a boat and go with a 3 fish limit for that tournament.
  18. That is great, I probably would not have had anything other than a cell phone camera, but my wife always tells me to take the camera. This time I listened.
  19. Welcome to the board. What part of Lake George are you on.
  20. Welcome, you came to the right place for good information.
  21. Great job!!!
  22. I'm impressed you were able to lip him. You are a true trophy hunter ;D
  23. You've got that right
