I just don't like it when he freaks out when he catches a small bass. I would like to just see him put a small fish like that in the live well and move on.

The last estimates I had seen did not have anyone within 3 lbs of Skeet and Ike. Does anyone know how they come up with the estimates?

Unless they were off with the estimates, (they certainly could be) Skeet seems like the only one with a chance to beat him.

I can't believe I am saying this, but at this point I hope Skeet pulls it out. The lesser of two evils IMO ;D

With the regular elite series tournaments they give out a big bass prize for each day, and the biggest of the tournament gets twice the money. I am not sure if they do the same thing at the classic.

They pay the bills. It is annoying, but it is a big part of the business.

Edwin Evers... Ike will be so busy cheering for himself after he catches a 1 lbs bass that he can't possibly win. If he would shut up and fish he could be one of the best

My wife and 4 sons fish. My older brother fishes as well.

I am a big KVD fan, but there is only one God and he is not it. He is most certainly human just like any of the rest of us. OK so he is a much better angler than any of us. That being said, I would not bet against him in the AOY race.

Do these guys just want all the qualifiers come from the elite series? I think it would not be nearly as interesting if they did it that way. Did Boyd Duckett not deserve to be there in 2007 because he qualified through the opens? Does Jami Fralick not belong there now because he qualified through the opens? Why don't they just close the doors on the Federation while they are at it. I say let them qualify however they qualify. Men, Women, Pro, Amateur whatever it is they should be proud to fishing in the classic. I know I would rather be fishing the classic than watching it on my couch

I would say mid-June to early July is my favorite time to be on Champlain, all though there is no bad time. (Except for now with 18" of ice >) For the southern part of the lake, the guys are right Ticondergoa, NY is the best place to stay. There are no good places close to the lake in that part of VT to stay :'(. Spinnerbaits, Senko's, and jigs are all effective. I also like to run buzzbaits over submerged weed beds.

Why do you say it is a joke? Back it up with some reasons and information please. You don't like the idea of competing at the Divisional? Just curious what your reasons are.

Anybody can fish in the opens as a co-angler as long as they are willing to pay for it.

If I said something like that to my wife, I think I would be sleeping on the couch.

Our season does not open until April 11th up here. I just hope the ice is off the lakes by then. :'(

In VT our BASS state qualifier is equal time on the trolling motor. We draw about 2 or 3 weeks before the STQ. We usually have more boaters than non so some boaters get drawn to be non-boaters for one of the two days. I am a non-boater and if the boater I am with is on fish I am not going to tell him to go elsewhere. I have been treated very well by most boaters. I have been with a few that made for a long day to say the least. If they back boat me and are not on any fish, then I will gladly take my half of the day. We pay the same entry fee and we are competing against other boaters so it is only fair that we have equal time. If your non-boaters are competing against other non-boaters only, then I don't think trolling motor time is any issue.

I bought one last year, but I must admit I did not use it.
